TobyKOct 30, 2009Excellent, fun arcade adventure. perfect for the system, and still fun today. I have absolutely no issues with this game, and through its simplicity you can see its genius. Simple levels and easy controls, along with traditional crash wackiness made the game for me.

Apr 29, 2011Essentially one of the funnest platformers on the PS1 -- strike that, it's one of the funnest games on the PS1. Pros: Rich, colorful, and bizarre characters and level design; variety of gameplay; some of the slickest controls in a PS1 game ever. Cons: A little bit of "trial and error" here and there; easy boss bottles; limited level design limits replay value.

Aug 25, 2011Very good game. with very good graphics and gameplay.
One of my firsts game on PSX and i love this. All Crash Bandicoot is amazing series on PSX.
Seriously i advice this game. -
Jan 26, 2013After playing this game for countless hours as a kid, I decided to buy this game on my PS3, best decision I've ever made. Everything about this game is fun, the controls are simple but hard to master and the graphics still look as crisp as I remember them. Thank god for Crash Bandicoot.

Jan 5, 2013One of the best 3D platformers, that I've played. The story is good (and characters even better), gameplay is superb, and music is suitable for every level. A classic, must-have game.

Jun 1, 2019This game is: simple, beautiful and timeless. It reminds me of my childhood. It was one of those games that I wanted to start again after 100% complete.

Oct 10, 2011Easily one of the best titles on the PS one to date. Its seemingly flawless graphics and colorful visuals, variety of gameplay and level design, and humor make it one of the most outstandingly fresh games from the 90s.
-
Mar 19, 2012The pinnacle of the Crash Bandicoot series, and my favourite PS1 game. Linear as linear can be, but utterly addictive in its varied dimensions, varied gameplay and spot-on humour. A classic game that still holds up well today.

Mar 30, 2012After the excellent Crash Bandicoot and Crash Bandicoot: 2: Cortex Strikes Back, it comes as no surprise that the next instalment in Naughty Dog's flagship platformer series is such an outstanding game. And pretty damn hard one at that - achieving 100% completion is by no means an easy task. Fans of collecting goodies and discovering secrets should be particularly pleased with this game.

Jan 22, 2020That game just set standards in gaming, just like it's sequel, Crash Team Racing, it's a game at it's finest. Multiple challenges, different mechanics througout the game and wonderful music. This game is just WONDERFUL!!!

StevenJ.Nov 19, 2006So many years later, and it's STILL a great game, equal with the first two. After the first 4, it was so badly downhill its not even funny.

DavidG.May 25, 2005A classic. Best psone game ever. Too bad Crash's latest games haven't lived up to it.

nixontMar 27, 2008The best thing about this game is the beautiful visuals that rest in the levels. In my oppinion, the visuals of each level get more beautiful by the numbers!

NicholasSJan 15, 2009'i loved this game when i was young but i can't play it anymore because my playstation broke(now i have a 360) this game is even better than Mario 64 in my opinion...too bad the newer crash games suck monkey balls.

Mar 23, 2019What a great game! While all three Crash Bandicoot games on the PS are superb, this might be the one with the most variaton. I have to say the first one still gives me the most nostalgic good feelings, but they're all very good. Not like the boring Crash games that appeared on the PS2!

Feb 17, 2020Best incarnation of Crash in original trilogy! Absolute masterpiece with countless replayability. I don't know how many hundrets (or thousands?) times I've played this game... Absolute gem (or power crystal?) which shaped my childhood. Unparalleled experience in platformer genre! I LOVE IT!

MafiaGuyNov 3, 2003It may have been a long time ago since I last played this game, but I really enjoy it. RAWKS!

KeaganS.Jul 13, 2003I own a PS2 and every PlayStation game (includes #6) and a GBA and The Huge Adventure. All are great, but this one, the graphics, and the several modes of play make THIS the one I would review.

HenrikS.Jun 7, 2007Perfect game for PSOne. Addictive and still worth playing from time to time. One of only two games to "survive" the transition to PS2.

NoahT.Oct 18, 2007Whoever dectracted points for a bad story is an idiot, because we all know Crash Bandicoot games aren't about the story. A great game and I still play it today on my PS1. Took a mark off for a few minor quips, like minimal control issues when swimming and bit of an unfair difficulty spike in the fifth warp room. Otherwise a great game.

Easily the best Crash game yet and possibly the greatest platforming title on the PSX yet. Although not as long as the previous games it provides the most bang for the buck!
-
A wonderfully presented game that truly goes beyond anything you are likely to find in this genre for any system. The sheer brilliance in the level designs and gameplay are sure to keep you coming back for more.
-
A drop-dead gorgeous game. The textures are impeccable, the animation's top-notch, and the special effects kick some serious booty.
