Apr 18, 2017The Zero Escape series as a whole has been fantastic, but the older games (999 especially) have been somewhat harder to find recently. And while the games can be played individually, you'll be missing elements of the plot to each of the games if you don't play through from the beginning.
A must buy if you thought Primer had a plot that was too straightforward. -
Mar 22, 2020Fun and entertaining games, but make sure to NEVER EVER play the third game "Zero Time Dilemma", it is extremely bad, so bad that it can ruin the memories and experience of these first two awesome games. Jut play Zero Escape: The Nonary Games and pretend the third game doesn't exist.

Apr 3, 2017Zero Escape: The Nonary Games is as close to the perfect package as is currently available for folks looking to jump into the Zero Escape world. The only thing that would make it better is if it somehow included Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma to complete the set. Even so, the two included games offer players over twenty hours of gameplay as they work through dozens of distinct endings. The lack of tweaks to Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward may seem strange in comparison, even though that title didn’t need much reworking to begin with. In either case, there’s no doubt that Zero Escape: The Nonary Games is a set of visual novels that are both worth a look.

Mar 27, 2017The Nonary Games is a fantastic package that has two of the best adventure games of all time in a single package with worthy enhancements to 999 which remains one of my favourite games of all time.

Mar 27, 2017More of the same from Spike-Chunsoft, which is not a bad thing at all. The games are still engaging, fun, and in the case of Virtue’s Last Reward, have some of the most challenging puzzles in the visual novel genre. Zero Escape: The Nonary Games is an above-average compilation that offers just enough changes to make it a good purchase for both newcomers to the series and franchise veterans, although, as always with this genre, those looking for action had best look elsewhere.
