But I had faith in Sanzaru because they did the ps3 port very well and they also made Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, which was a good game that did the series justice. So I bought it day one (May 27th in America) and so far, I must say... I am loving every minute of it. Not only is it a good port; its a fantastic HD updating. The games all look great on the vita screen and the frame rate is smooth. If you love Sly Cooper, DEFINITELY get this collection. If you liked thieves in time but you never played this original, for sure get this game. If you have never played a Sly Cooper game in your life, I recommend you check out some gameplay footage and see if its your thing. If so, definitely buy this. This was a great port by a great studio, 10/10 Expand

The only thing I hated was that sly 3 isn't on the cartridge, you have to download it off the ps store. Lame.

The Sly Cooper Collection, for the most part, does exactly what it's supposed to do: Bring all three original Sly Cooper games to the PS Vita with as few concessions as possible. As far as ports from PS3 go, the Sly Cooper Collection is among the best with just a few things holding it back from perfection.

Graphically and gameplay-wise, the Sly Cooper Collection doesn't miss a beat. The cell-shaded graphics are as beautiful as ever on the Vita's screen and the games all play exactly as well as they did on PS2, albeit at 30 fps instead of 60, which is fairly standard for PS Vita ports of console games. They even added some nice Vita-specific features like using the back touch pad to ping objective markers and the front touch screen to use the binoculars. This was a subtle yet clever way to get around the Vita's lack of clickable analogue sticks. My favorite addition has to be the fact that new lines of dialogue were recorded to explain the Vita controls. I can't help but smile when Bentley instructs me to use the rear touch pad. It's a nice little touch that shows some extra love and care went into the game beyond simply porting it over.

Unfortunately, as solid as the collection is, there are issues. Something any prospective buyer needs to be aware of is the fact that the Sly Cooper Collection only has the first two games on the cartridge itself, with the third being given in the box as a download code. This was likely done to ensure that the entire trilogy ran smoothly given that there's only so much memory on a Vita cartridge. The install size of Sly 3 is over 3gb and used copies will likely not have a valid code for it at this point. This means that unless you're willing to buy a digital copy of Sly 3 separately, your pre-owned Sly Collection will ONLY contain the first two games. The first game's soundtrack has also been remixed, and definitely not for the better. Frankly, it's been completely butchered. However, it should be noted that this isn't a Vita-only issue and is present in the PS3 version as well. They honestly should have just left the music alone.

If you're able to look past those two issues, the Sly Cooper Collection is a fantastic compilation of three classic PS2 platformers in the palm of your hand. If you loved the originals and want to take them on the go, this game has you covered. And if you've yet to experience them and own a Vita, I can't recommend it enough.

Finally the Vita gets a good port of a classic collection!

Apart from Sly1 and the horribly compressed cut scenes, the games are Native resolution and run well. The audio is not as compressed as other Vita games either and the games control so well on the Vita that you would think they were originally made with the device in mind. As with the excellent port of the latest Sly game

As with the excellent port of the latest Sly game (Thieves in time) on the Vita, these are fantastic. In my mind this is the only HD collection that is worth buying on the Vita at this point in time.

Sanzaru also created Sly: Thieves in Time & did a flawless job porting it to Vita & this collection looks & plays alot like Thieves in Time but with slightly more pixelated cutscenes ect. The value is great at 29.99 u get 3 full games with 3 platinum trophies! With the physical copy it comes with Sly 1 & 2 on the game card & a voucher for the 3rd game which is almost 3gb, but regardless i was thrilled to get 2 games on 1 card. Honestly, anyone who is not in favor of Vita ports please just go away - i got GoW Collection & Sly Collection for the same price as Watchdogs! That's 5 games, 5 platinum trophies, & 100's of hrs of gameplay for the price of one ps3 game. For anyone who is either a Vita fan or a Sly fan this is a must-buy! If u have played the originals on ps2 or never played a Sly Cooper game i urge u to buy the Sly Collection on Vita because it is a wonderful series with new legs on the Vita & the games hold up quite well. If this does well hopefully we can get the Ratchet Collection on Vita, but for now it is a dream to be able to sneak & steal on the go 10/10. Expand

Let it be known, the Sly Trilogy are enjoyable platforming games. They're not the best platformers, far from it, but they're certainly good. With that out of the way, how does the Vita version stack up? Pretty damn well. Runs in native resolution, framerate is good, visuals look every bit as good as the PS3 version and now you can play it just about anywhere. The Sly Trilogy on Vita does 3 things wrong and that's all. One: Uses low quality sound samples to save space on the game card. Two: Uses low quality FMV's for the save reason. Three: Doesn't include Sly 3 on the game card, requiring it to be downloaded instead. All of these things are simply limitations of the game card (which maxes out at 8GB, not nearly enough to store all 3 games) and can be forgiven, but are unfortunate regardless. Despite everything, if a few low quality FMVs and Audio Files don't bother you, and you've got 2.5GB~ spare on your memory card for Sly 3, the Vita version of the trilogy is an impressive port that you can play just about anywhere. So, if you like Sly, what are you waiting for? Expand

I'm just kidding at first,I forgot to put a score in this Game,The port that they did to this game was very perfect(except some framedrop that I saw in the cutscenes.) But that is not issue afterall, the game run smoothly and the place artworks is very detailed.Sly Collection is the example of the Port that runs well in the Handheld. For me,this game runs 30fps and above.

Sly Cooper games are pure 3D platformers with stealth elements. You play as a master thief raccoon named Sly, who is aided by his gangmates Bentley the turtle and Murray the hippo, who provide the brains and brawn of the gang respectively, whereas Sly is the master of acrobatics and thievery. Obviously it's a comical take on old '60s heist movies, and even the games' music reflects that.

Sly games began as more of a pure 3D platformer, and by the 2nd game evolved into a mission-based precursor to Assassin's Creed, so to speak, and there are even some Metal Gear Solid inspirations (for example the enemy patrols have cones of vision). Every level is wide open, populated by patroling guards, and loot is plentiful. You can either pickpocket enemies or steal precious treasure and bring it back in your hideout. From the 2nd game on you can also play as Bentley and Murray, which breaks the monotony of playing as just Sly. In the 3rd game you could even play as a guest star for one mission in each chapter, but the core gameplay didn't progress after the 2nd game. This stagnation later led to the series' demise, even if all 3 games are great. Or you could say that Sucker Punch perfected the gameplay from the 2nd game and had little room for improvements.

The art style is awesome, because it is cel shaded, like the anime cartoons. On Vita the games run at 60 fps but the resolution is lower than the screen's, with noticeable aliasing and pixel crawl. Plus there are the touchscreen controls because Vita doesn't have the L2/R2/L3/R3 buttons of a Dualshock. But none of this affects the core gameplay in the least. I have played all 3 games to completion with no issue.

Sadly Sly Cooper is regarded as a lesser series than its PS2 peers Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank, but I think Sly is the better of them all. It has a cute and great story, the music is perfect, gameplay is solid, and it has aged well. In comparison Ratchet and Clank games today look like archaic shooters, and Jak and Daxter games have bad controls. If you like 3D platformers, The Sly Collection is for you.

Pretty much how I feel about this is how I feel about the Ratchet and Clank collection on Vita. It's a pretty great port for playing Sly Cooper on the go. The difference here is it didn't try to emulate the PS3 controller. It actually tried to feel like a Vita game, which is good for...well playing on the Vita. It's a solid port of the games.

Sanzaru kind of screwed up the mrs. Ruby boss battle in sly 1. The playstation move games are a joke. But I must say pretty much everything else is great! They ramped up the graphics and made the sly games I love so dearly look 10 times better. It is a perfect way to replay the old series, I only wish we got a remaster for the playstation 4.

All three games have a decent presentation on PS3 graphically, but suffer from bad audio mixing where the character's voices are drowned out in cutscenes.

All three games are overall enjoyable but have significant flaws, including several missions in 'Honour Among Thieves' that are more annoying than fun. The first game has the best platforming, but has an overall basic gameplay loop.
