I’ve been playing the PlayStation Vita version (on a PSTV) of the game for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. But I am a huge SRPG fan, with Final Fantasy Tactics being my favorite game of all time. If you aren’t a fan of FFT, Disgaea, Tactics Ogre, and the like then this game may not be for you. Grand Kingdom is all about strategy. The battle system is the most unique I’ve seen in years, maybe ever. And before battle you move around the “field” (kind of like a world map) using a chess piece, plotting your route and using items — you aren’t simply moving from spot A to B. Both moving around the field and battling require a lot of thought, as well as party formation and item management. If you are into deep strategy JRPG’s then you should check this game out ASAP..."

    Best online turn-based strategy game on Vita or anywhere ever

    There is not much to the story but if you are a GAMEPLAY person, this is the game for you. In order to build a good squad and trump all other in online war you need to invest in innovative strategy and lots of grinding to realize your vision.

    + Character customisation is really cool.
    + There are many ally types with their own weapons.
    + Battle system is very unique and really fun.
    - AI is really stupid.
    - Progression is really slow.
    - Random elements can make the game feel really unfair.
    - Aim lines are inaccurate causing you to hit your allies often.

    If I bought this game it was because I liked it artistically and it caught me. Then I discovered that it was based a lot on online and that threw me a lot back. But removing that little handicap, I liked the rest a lot, above all, being able to create and customize so many characters. That if it is a rare game, very rare.

    An strategic title of excellence, Grand Kingdom delivers a deep, complex and challenging experience with tons of content and an active combat system that will keep you busy for months. Very recommended.

    Grand Kingdom is unlike any other tactical-RPG on the market that I know of. For $40, you’re getting an adventure that can last you weeks if not months, though you may tire of it before you see everything it has to offer.

    With its brilliant gameplay style and wealth of customisation options, not to mention the fun and strategically minded combat, Grand Kingdom is a fantastic tactical RPG that truly showcases why the genre is perfect on PS Vita.
