They combined the good parts of both Mana Khemia games' battle system to make this one and also putting a far more interesting & creative alchemy system.

The characters are also more interesting & good looking compared to those hyperactive anime schoolkids cliché from Mana Khemia. A solid 10/10.

I literally just played this for the Escha and Logy cameo. I didn't quite get interested with the two Shallies. Too much yuri is my complain on this game. I don't hate the girl to girl love or anything like that. It's just that they try to hide it and wouldn't just go for it. Aside from that the music is always a A+ I really like the stellard theme. I got that FF X Besaid island theme itI literally just played this for the Escha and Logy cameo. I didn't quite get interested with the two Shallies. Too much yuri is my complain on this game. Gameplay on the other hand. The way this time they make you get all the ultimate items is much more troublesome. and really luck based I hate those kind of things ..

    I wanted to stop....

    But I can't...

    I ask myself Why..

The only answer was because of the walk through I saw...

I saw the ingredients on how to get the ultimate..

    I wanted it...

    I yearned for it...

    I needed it..

anyways... All in all it is a good game. I would recommend this to atelier fans.

Also about the filter and sorting of all properties they didn't even bother to alphabetize it. Like the hell it was a huge pain trying to find the property on your storage list that you wanted.

    Cons
Steep price - It was $53.49
NPCs were too lifeless and static
No Doll System like Atelier Sophie
No environmental Day - Night Cycle like Atelier Sophie
A bit of frame rate issues but barely noticeable
A serious lack of costumes for secondary characters

Overall I don't regret buying it at all however I will definitely make sure the next Atelier I buy will have all my specifications for that kind of price point. You hear me Gust and Koei thanks for the great game but I'd like a fully customizable automaton I can craft in the Atelier that I can add a party member for combat, and environmental cycles, more lively NPCs, more costumes for side characters. And then yeah I'll throw more money at you. I will be among the firsts to buy it.

    Keep up the good work.

While the Arland trilogy remains my favorite, Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea finishes out the Dusk trilogy in style. The removal of the traditional time limit actually works, and the series' trademark alchemy and battle gameplay is as strong and as fun as ever. The graphical hiccups and long load times may disappoint a little, but this is a stellar JRPG and the cap to the very memorable Dusk trilogy. For Atelier fans who wait for the Vita versions, this is a no-brainer. For new fans or those who already finished things up on PS3, there may be better choices, but for my money Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea was 50 hours of fun I wouldn't trade for all the water in Stellard.

Atelier Shallie Plus is not all that different from any other Atelier game. There's a brief moment at the beginning of the game, when your characters are adrift at sea, when it doesn't seem like things will be proceeding as normal…and then you hit dry land, and it reverts to the same broad formula. If you've been desperate for the game to switch things up, the simple fact that you can make things move more quickly probably won't win you over now. But if you just want another Atelier game that delivers on the series' usual level of quality, you're in luck. Atelier Shallie Plus lives up to the standard set by its predecessors — for better and for worse.
