    Quick background on me the reviewer, I tend to like single player games that is heavy on narrative the most. I also play a lot of racing games and use to play multiplayer games in my high school days but now that it's hard for me and my friends to find a good time to link up so now it’s rare for me to get into a multiplayer game. Up to try any genre of games and sometimes I find something new that I didn't think I'd like. I own a PC (built by me), Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PS3, PS4, PS5, and a Switch. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of coursed influenced by my personal opinions.

    (10) Outstanding. A truly elite title that is nearly perfect in every way. This score is given out rarely and indicates a game that cannot be missed.

    This game revolves you digging into a family’s past, filled with death. Each story of a family member is unique, moving and immersive. I’ve replayed this game quite a few times throughout the years since its release. There is very little gameplay so if you just want to watch it instead, go right ahead. Just don’t pass up on the story and please support the game by still buying it.    … Expand

You canWhat Remains of Edith Finch is a walking simulator in the vein of Gone Home, and like Gone Home, I thought it was bloody brilliant. You can play through it in one sitting, but still, it manages to pack more story and emotion into those few hours than any 100+ open-world game.

    You walk around a fantastic old house, looking at the belongings of the various inhabitants. However, unlike Gone Home, you dive into their world and relive a portion of their lives, including their final moments. They vary in tone, but all are fun, and some pack a real emotional punch; I'm looking at you, baby in the bath section.

    So yeah, light on action, but you can't fault the world, tone and story. First class.    … Expand

The game is simple, it's somewhat a walking simulator, but it remains very interesting throughout its short but sweet length. It has a surprisingly wide range of mechanics/minigames that are all simple but well-put-together. It's charming but dark, and the story is just vague enough to let the imagination do some work.
