Horrendous UI that actively hinders your enjoyment of the game. Interesting premise squandered by uninteresting characters and dialogue. Simulacra feels pointless and not that deep. Exploration is iffy, and the MMO elements feel tacked on. Low quality textures in some places and stuttering in others.

    Thoughts-
Even if you could pick out some decent things in this whole mess, other titles offer way better experiences, whether in terms of combat, gacha mechanics, exploration, story-telling or world design, that too without an interface that’s actively fighting you at every turn. Tower of Fantasy isn’t real life or fantasy, but more of a landslide and poor substitute for reality.

Unethical monetization on top of clumsy controls and gambling mechanics. Avoid at all costs!

The UI isn't as easy as it could be to navigate, but the Accessibility options are poor and make this unplayable

Well I struggled to play on my phone as it wasn’t very mobile friendly and the pc version is terrible, very unstable and badly optimised so I thought with the ps5 release oh ok I’ll give it another go with how well genshin works on it but there’s not even cross play… kind of lost for words, can’t even log into my account that’s like the basics these days what is this 2001, play genshinWell I struggled to play on my phone as it wasn’t very mobile friendly and the pc version is terrible, very unstable and badly optimised so I thought with the ps5 release oh ok I’ll give it another go with how well genshin works on it but there’s not even cross play… kind of lost for words, can’t even log into my account that’s like the basics these days what is this 2001, play genshin which has perfect cross play and is stunning on ps5 or star rail coming soon this company hasn’t got a clue, a bad joke very poor tech wise easy 1 star Expand

I like the game. The combat is ok and the story is not bad. Characters are cool and you can create your own.
However the UI/menus is a total mess. They moved the UI from PC or phone and it's an objectively bad design. I'm not exaggerating by saying that the learning curve of the UI and menus (!!!) is harder than the learning curve of combat.
If they want to keep this game alive in

If they want to keep this game alive in console they need to fully redo the entire UI/menus.
By the way, the game is incorrectly classified at PEGI 7, but it's not ok for kids (fan-service, gat-cha, micro-transactions, triggers, ...) Probably more like PEGI 16.

Definitely not on the same level as say Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail but still pretty fun.
Definitely has some good art direction and it's an interesting world to explore. I quite like most of the characters and the voice acting is mostly very good (sorry dude who voices Zeke, they really should've given you a few more takes...).
Well that's the good out of the way... who the hell

Well that's the good out of the way... who the hell came up with the UI controls in this game?!?! Have they ever held a console controller before?!?!
I get this version is releasing a full year after PC & Mobile but skipping the entire first planet story without even a warning or choice to do so is just downright crazy. It just drained any investment I had in the characters stories.
By no means a terrible game and after a few updates will probably run alot better and be a lot more fun. But in a story as old as time, that 99% of games devs still haven't heard. You only get one chance to make a first impression and this was not the best it could've been.

Wasn't feeling the game but gave it a try after making some space for it, and oh boy what a disappointment.
Is it a port? or more likely the mobile game for TV and controller? The controls are hard to grasp and switching from one menu to another one is a mess !!
I can't grasp how some went with the 99€ preorder edition for this kind of release?? I can't enjoy the game and try it with

Aunque se complica un poco algunas funciones, es muy entretenido. Puedes pasar horas haciendo misiones o explorando el mundo o simplemente en el Oasis Club. Puede mejorar, pero igual es recomendable si quieres darte la oportunidad.

This game's potential is killed by the unintuitive user interface, the flow breaking dialogues and cut scenes and the way too soon "buy ingame money" push.
Interaction with other players is too optional.

The combat system is the highlight
With a fast-paced action combat system, which is fun and carries the games to be honest,
The character design is also far more anime, and fan service-like, compared to Genshin impacts, (which I prefer)
You will often hear comparisons between both games, but Tower of Fantasy focuses on its action combat, while GI concentrates on its story, so much so that Genshin impacts story can feel like it drags on forever. But is well-written and has some really good moments. Tower of Fantasy’s story and presentation are not as strong. Which is a problem with many MMOs.
But one thing Tower of Fantasy outshines Genshin impact on heavily is its action combat,
It's way more diverse, much faster, and has more types of play styles.

I wanted an anime action-based game to enjoy on my downtime and after hearing that blue protocol will be getting heavily censored from Amazon in the West, I decided to give Tower of Fantasy a shot.
It sure has its shortcomings, but keep in mind Hotta Studio doesn't have a $200 million budget. So, it does lack polish in many areas.
The game also leaves a terrible first impression, the developers clearly understand this and try to push you as soon as they can to the second open-world area, which is 1000 times better in every way. So if you can get past the opening. Which won't take you long at all. The game greatly improves the more you Play On.

Right now, the game is raining rewards as well.
I've gotten at least 7, 5-star characters (SSR) playing over the last 3 to 4 days so this is giving me a lot to work with and build on

    The UI is horrible
Not going to sugar-coat it, it needs a lot of work
You will get used to it, but the main problem is you have to press square and triangle to bring up the movement cursor, and it's not on by default
Switching to the cursor will solve most of your problems, but the game doesn't explain this and it can be frustrating, trying to move through menus and getting nowhere,
The game isn’t a 10, it’s a 7.5, but this game always gets hated on so I raised the score to combat the incoming 0, s for the UI…

I personally like it, although the first time I played it I didn't spend more than 4 hours on it. Look, now I have a different opinion. It has a good story, even the graphics seem ok to me, as you can play it from a controller, that's a big plus, the combat seems ok to me. All in all, it's a game worth trying.

Even after a year of major updates and new regions, Tower of Fantasy still has fundamental issues which hinder it to a painful degree.

Hotta's work to add everything that the title has evolved in a year joins a large amount of extra content and events specially designed to celebrate the arrival of the game on Sony consoles and encourage its players to stay in their world until you get the taste.
