I didn’t notice any improvements of the PS5 version since I still own the original PSVR game. It is the complete same game, offering almost same visuals. Don’t expect to get anything better here (besides haptic and rumble). It is still weird to make an extra purchase, this is something every owner should get for free! Anyway the base game is still solid and everyone which just didn’t ownI didn’t notice any improvements of the PS5 version since I still own the original PSVR game. As a VR newcomer who never played this, what a trip this game is on PSVR2. A simple but effective premise that gets increasingly challenging (if you're like me you want all the S-Ranks), but once you crack the game and get good it's really satisfying.

I hear the visual isn't much upgraded from the PSVR1 original, however I can confirm this has haptic feedback in the headset and controller, which will be new and really added to my experience. The game is likely also higher resolution and features hdr in VR. Apparently some effects are updated, e.g. bosses. The game is only around 300MB install size. In short, I think everyone with a PSVR2 should experience the game. There's a small upgrade fee involved to update the PSVR1 version. I say support this dev!

It’s a great VR game and if you’ve never played it’s a 10 out of 10, if you’ve owned it before like I have, you’ve played it before but this is hands down the best way I’ve played it yet. And 8 out of 8 for me

Thumper remains a true VR classic, and its upgrade for PSVR2 makes it the best place to experience its violent audio charms.

Simply put, your enjoyment of Thumper will mostly rely on how much fun you have retrying the same segments over and over again. Although some folks like games that take this approach, I personally get tired of it fast so keep that in mind before taking the trip.

All of Thumper is quite the sight, particularly in VR. It’s dark and moody; blacks and reds fill your screen, transporting you to some sort of ethereal nightmare. But you’ll likely be transfixed on the action, completely absorbed in Thumper‘s strange but fascinating world. There really is nothing else like it. And try as we might, it truly is impossible to fully summarise the wonder of Thumper into words. It’s one that really does need to be experienced first-hand to be fully appreciated.
