    Ok… as the last remastered: there is no need for this if we had real retro compatibility. For me is an 8 because the original was a 10 masterpiece, and remastered was a 9 for the same reason. This is unnecessary. Overall still a masterpiece

    Unlike many other developers, Naughty Dog at least doesn't make a low effort remaster and call it a day. The graphics and motion capture have been fully revamped, all the little details in this game now pop thanks to the major glow-up ND made for this masterpiece of a game. I highly recommend if you have never player it before.     The story is impressive and immersive, the gameplay is realistic and the gameplay mechanics are well thought through and are thorough. The game is very beautiful and has to be one of the most beautiful games I've played.

    I loved it. Great graphics same story. If you haven't played it on any platform this is the best way to play it. If you have played it before and don't love it the way I do then this is miss for you.

We can definitely debate about the price, 80 bucks isn't cheap, but compared to other remasters or games who claim to be a remaster (yes im looking to you Rockstar) is this is a enormous achievement. This is a game worth playing, a game which is a significant upgrade compared to the original and so exactly what aSimply a masterpiece just like it had already been on the PS3 and PS4.     One of the best games I've ever played. Polished to maximum again for PS5, with emotional, deep story. It has only one flaw: you can play it for the first time only once. There's also lack of multiplayer mode in this version, but I never actually played it anyway.

    I know it’s easy to say this game didn’t need a $70 remake and while I’m 50/50 on that topic, I’m in the minority on playing the original Part 1 AFTER Part 2, so a lot of the improvements of Part 2 were missing from Part 1, which harmed my initial experience with the Last of Us (more on that later). The biggest issue I had with this remake is that it didn’t incorporate any of the combat improvements from Part 2, still no dodge button! Sigh, missed opportunities. The rest of the package was incredible tho, the graphical improvements are AMAZING. It’s up there with the Horizon games visually. I really love the DualSense haptics too, I can’t go back to any other kind of controller tbh. The story is still immaculate as always, the new facial expressions really did make more of the emotional moments hit harder than in the original game. Overall I really enjoyed the experience, Naughty Dog successfully made the gameplay experience feel modern and new, and I’m very much looking forward to Part 3 in 2037!… Expand

    One of the best games I've ever played in my lifetime. Been a gamer since the days of SNES. I'd very much recommend this game to anyone who enjoys amazing storytelling games with an incredible cast of characters. Such an historic game that will leave you wanting more!

    Im reviewing this as the og game. The influence this story has not just on the gaming industry but the entertainment industry as a whole cannot go unnoticed. I just wish the gameplay wasnt so repetitive and predictable.

    After exactly 10 years I have finally played The Last of Us, playing the upgraded version with better graphics which, in 2013 the original must have been perceived as like a game with ultra-realistic graphics back then. I have played the game after I have already seen the tv show which obviously makes the twists and the story a bit less surprising. I don’t want to give it a 9 but it just feels like the whole game was remade just because of the last segment where Joel kills Abby’s father. It portrays Dr.Anderson as a really important character when he really wasn’t (in the original).And he was definitely pretty stupid , pointing a scalpel at a heavily armed man , what did he expect? Also, why did Joel have to lie to Ellie like that? Saying there’s dozens of immune people , he could’ve just said that she is infected with some other kind of fungus and can’t get infected by the fungus that infects everybody out there or something like that.And what happened to the multiplayer?… Expand

    I never played original but this is definitely one of the best games I ever played. Amazing story with awesome graphics, music and smooth gameplay. Almost cinematic feeling in your hands to play with. Both main characters are compelling and very charismatic. It was amazing experince to play this game and I am very glad that i bough it.

    I originally only finished it way back on PS3. After getting half way through the show my wife wanted to see the game, so picked the remake up from the library and she started watching me play through it. But she got bored during all the combat parts especially if I was doing it as stealth. So put it all the way down to easiest to speed it up. But still a masterpiece and is the best option for those that didnt play the game before like I did in the ps3, ps4 and now on the ps5!

But after being annoyed by the 50 dollar price, I realized that with the one that I bought, I got the Left Behind DLC with it, making the price range a bit more worth it. But even with that large price. The thing that really sold the game was the story and game play. I won't go too deep into the story because I don't wanna spoil it. But if you're looking for a game with good story, buy the game. If you're looking for a long-ish game with a lot of fun content in it, buy the game.… Expand

I love the 50 year old man who owns me with the suckable toes (Jooooeeeeeeeel) and his dead daughter. The game is so heartbreaking especially when Joel sucks Bill's dick for that shotgun. The game is hard to play with 1 hand cause I am beating to Joel's thick ass. 10/10 would recommend.

I got to really spend time focusing on what made the journey unique and great and not only wondering what would happen next, and it pushed the experience up for me even more as a result. Now I can say with full confidence that while The Last of Us may not be perfect, it is amazing. Part 1 is without a doubt the definitive version of this game and a must play for both existing fans and certainly anyone who hasn’t gone on this journey before, as I believe it’s an experience every gamer should have.… Expand

Ja ako hráč odkojený na FPS hrách typu doom, quake,wolfenstein 3D, heretic a ich následných pokračovaniach som nebol príliš veľký fanúšik takých tých klasických konzolových hier. Staré fps hry som sa vždy chodieval hrať ku babke, kedže tá mala, resp jej syn, famózny počítač, 386ku a potom aj 486ku, kde mala wolfíka 3D, či Dooma neskôr, ale mal tam aj skákačky ako Agenta, Commander Keena a závody Indianapolis 500. Všetko vyslovene shareware verzie, nikdy to nebola plná hra. Vždy som preferoval PC, moji rodičia neboli bohatí a tak som svoje prvé PC vlastnil až niekedy okolo roku 1999 alebo 2000,či 2001, nepamätám si to presne, kde mi môj milovaný otec zaobstaral prvý PC, bol to AMD Duron 750 MHz s riva tnt2 grafikou. Hlavná myšlienka tejto kratučkej retrospektívy je v tom, že som bol doslova odkojený na FPS hrách na PC a ku konzoliam som ani nečuchol, môj jediný kontakt s konzolovou hrou bol prvý krát niekedy v roku 1996 keď sa mi podarilo dovolať do relácie Level Majstrov toho času vysielaného ešte vo VTV. Viem že som vyhral pri losovaní divokú kartu čo znamenalo účasť v budúcom diely tohto programu, vyhral som aj jednu VHS kazetu originálnu, bol to film Savate. Pamätám si matne ako som hral hru jazz jack rabbit pred vysielaním na nečisto, tá bola tuším na PC ale potom halovú verziu FIFA 97 hry, tá už bola na psx a to bol môj prvý kontakt so konzolou vôbec. Nevedel som absolútne nič, prvé ostré kolo bolo na gamepade práve jazz jack rabbit, nevedel som vôbec ako chytiť do rúk ovládač, pročko sa mi smial ako uderený psychopat ale aspoň Karnasová sa ma snažila povzbudzovať, nevedel som sa ani dopredu pohnúť a dokopy som sa nevedel ani cez prvý jednoduchý level dostať v časovom limite. Skončil som samozrejme posledný a vyhral som hru Gender Wars.

    Ale to som až príliš ďaleko odbočil od hlavnej témy, pointa bola, že som bol primárne FPS hráč až niekedy okolo roku 2011 keď som si v kamennom obchode kúpil prvú konzolu v živote, bola to Playstation 3 v zľave a sním aj niečo cez 10 hier, medzi inými aj také pecky ako Killzone 1 a 2, celú Resistance a Uncharted trilógiu, Call of duty 3 a Red Dead Redemption. Bolo pre mňa veľmi náročné hlavne tie fps hry prechádzať na ovládači, ale zvykol som si pomerne rýchlo a po pár mesiacoch som s tým nemal žiadny problém. Hlavne Uncharted hry a RDR bola taká ostrá predpríprava na The Last of Us. Pamätám si ako som napr killzone 2 a prvý resistance ale aj RDR hrával cez takú krabičku pripojenú do konzoly, penguin či ako sa to volalo, mal som v nej zapojenú klávesnicu a myšku a vedel som si pekne nastaviť a nakonfigurovať ovládanie aj keď to nebolo ako na PC, kvôli miestami vysokej odozve aj kostrbatému ovládaniu.

    Ale dosť bolo nostalgie, vrátme sa k meritu veci a tým je The Last of Us. Prvý krát som originál prešiel v lete 2013, teda týžden po oficiálnom vydaní hry na ps3. Nevedel som do čoho idem, lebo som sa poučil a na hru, ktorú som sa tešil som odmietal sledovať trailery či čítať akékoľvek články o hre. A hra ma v momente očarila, či už to bolo vyslovene brutálnou grafikou hneď na začiatku, či ešte brutálnejšou a zároveň veľmi smutnou introdukciou hlavnej postavy hry, Joela. Musím podoknúť, že jeden z dôvodov prečo mi táto hra doslova prirástla ku srdcu je aj fakt, že som hru prechádzal s mojím milovaným otcom počas leta na chalupe, bolo to presne pár mesiacov po mojich úspešných štátniciach a tak som si užíval pár mesiacov voľna tým najlepším spôsobom. Hra ma takým neuveriteľným spôsobom úplne pohltila, že som si ani neuvedomoval plynutie času. Hra vyzerala na tú dobu neskutočne, hral som ju síce na staršej 40 palcovej Full HD plazme od panasonic, ktorá hre pridávala ešte na kráse parádne nakalibrovanými farbami obrazovky. Hru som hral, kvôli môjmu otcovi s českým jazykom, vedel síce slušne po anglicky, ale aby si aj on užil príbeh tak som ich zapol pre istotu.

    this game is still incredible. replayed it after the first episode of the HBO show and it is the best video game ever made. the story, the characters, everything. top-notch.

    This remake for PS5 is great and has a lot of improvements and absolute great graphics. I played the first game, the Remastered (PS4) and now the remake on PS5. Its absolutely stunning, a new experience of the game. It feels as a new game not released before, it feels realistic. As fan I'm happy to replay the whole game on this new console generation. All releases are a masterpiece - thisThis remake for PS5 is great and has a lot of improvements and absolute great graphics. I played the first game, the Remastered (PS4) and now the remake on PS5.     As much as we love the skeleton, the way it’s been built upon here feels like a missed opportunity. The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar. Neat extras are here, like a speedrun mode, behind the scenes videos, and commentary tracks – but we’d hoped for something bolder. [Issue#19, p.74]

    The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
