    Most amazingly beautiful tales game yet !
    This game blew my mind. The story and characters are perfectly created in this world of enldess beauty ! The gameplay is the best yet with incredible animations . Easily the most beautiful anime type game ever created, hands down !

    This game makes all previous entries look like they came from the 1800's. An amazing leap for the series, a beautiful experience. Amazing visuals, like you've never seen in a Tales game before. Characters are potentially the best since Symphonia and Vesperia. This is an absolute masterpiece in my eyes and SHOULD be experienced by any JRPG fan. And as for you Tales of fans, you're about toThis game makes all previous entries look like they came from the 1800's. An amazing leap for the series, a beautiful experience. Amazing visuals, like you've never seen in a Tales game before. Characters are potentially the best since Symphonia and Vesperia.     The most compelling story I've played in a JRPG in a long time, a beautifully rendered world, and a battle system that never really gets old. What more could you want? The best JRPG since Dragon Quest XI, easily.

    Anyone who leaves a bad review is just hating lol. This game is as close to flawless as you can get and anything negative I can find is just nitpicks. Tales of Arise offers everything you would want from a Jrpg. Great cast of characters that interact with each other ALL the time. The game is gorgeous and has a unique art style that will hold up well with age. I can’t think of a jrpg thatAnyone who leaves a bad review is just hating lol.     Excellent game. They really stepped it up with this one and have made the best in the series. Love the little chats between the characters all the way through, great moments of character development and the overall plot is great. Graphics are so good and the tales series finally feels like a premium rpg here, combat can be button marshy but I still thoroughly enjoyed, best rpg I’ve playedExcellent game.     From the opening song till the end of the game, this game never disappointed me. Dark and epic story; Alphen who never felt the pain, and Shionne who never touched by other people, is the perfect combination to find out what happen and make them happy ending. Epic!

I was hesitant to buy it after being recently burning by Dragon Quest, but I'm so glad I took the chance.     Just outstanding another long running series I have loved for over 20 yrs returns and once again proves its not a bad thing to stick to your roots! The music is yet another highpoint and is literally amazing throughout, was totally blown away by it and it is easily 'final fantasy' standard which is the highest praise I can give it, the voice acting I also thought was a very high standard with the main character I instantly recognised the voice, this next gen version running on ps5 is technically one of the most impressive games I have played on the 'new gen' consoles, from on average 1 second load times on changing areas or fast travelling, to everything running silky smooth and I say that playing through the whole game in graphics mode there is a performance option for people that prefer framerate, even in intense fighting with the crazy amount of special effects flying everywhere it ran beautifully, and the whole game looks stunning in 4k, after about 2 hours play I did sit there thinking is the whole game really gonna look this amazing? the answer is yes it does its a full on massive jrpg next gen world, its very impressive. I have been waiting patiently for the next tales I knew it would be good but what I wasn't prepared for was the tales team coming up with my of my favourite games ever.

    Just WOW. Everything about this game oozes with Quality, Passion, and BUDGET. Everything was carefully placed and there's so much attention to detail that I can't stop praising the game. The Gameplay is addictive and so fun to play, I just get lost on grinding most of the time.Thank you Bamco for this masterpiece.

I love ajrpg, but never could. This, this is right up there with YsViii. Slow starter, trickles a decent rpg system. Combat is smooth, intricate and a decent challenge at higher levels.     Highly recommend this game there is so much fun content - collecting owls, fishing, cooking, raising livestock -farming, side quests, costumes, and etc! The story is absolutely riveting and emotional! And the English Dubs are phenomenal! Great cast of characters! This    ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING TALES GAMES!     For me one of the best Tales game. I'm let's call it veteran of this serie and Arise made huge step forward. Easly in Top 4 with Tales of The Abyss, Vesperia, Berseria(this one mostly for story and characters). Great graphic with music. Get through the opening hours, it quickly becomes the best JRPG since Xenoblade Chronicles. In my opinion, a milestone of the genre and true GOTY contender. Once you unlock more party members and skills, the combat becomes an absolute blast. GraphicsOutstanding JRPG.     This is my second Tales game (first was vesperia). What an amazing experience! It was really great to learn about the characters in your party and the story had me hooked. No spoilers here. I was worried whether i was going to enjoy the gameplay, Let me give you relief knowing its very enjoyable. You'll find your own style with normals, artes, boosts, dodges and strikes. There are some rly cool things hidden behind secondary quests too that u dont want to miss.

    So far so good. My first Tales game and I'm having a blast. I'm really enjoying the story and the combat is just getting better and better. I love the dynamic between Alphine and Shionne. Obviously theres much more to.their stories I cannot wait to unravel. My only criticism so far is the lack of mini games. Perhaps they will unlock later though. Will update this when I complete the game.

Graphics are fantastic while maintaining the anime-esque quality of the NPCs and playable characters, and the story is profound, the themes relevant. The English dub is fantastic with great acting, colorful personalities, laughs. There's always something newsome of the best gameplay in modern gaming with all the quality of life perks (like instant saving, fast travel) you could ever want. Graphics are fantastic while maintaining the anime-esque quality of the NPCs and playable characters, and the story is profound, the themes relevant. The English dub is fantastic with great acting, colorful personalities, laughs. There's always something new to find, tons of challenge and reward, and uncensored too (as Bandai advertised).     I am not waiting this game for release date. But when i buy it and play 40 hours than I recognized it is the best Tales game ever made. This is the future of Tales series and JRPG. PLAY IT AND FEEL IT.

    This game was amazing. Square enix can learn a thing or two. A good storyline with good character development and a complete game. Dont need 10 DLCs two year later to get the full experience. RPG of the year.

    This game has been an incredible step forward for jrpg's. Tales of Arise has shown a wide depth of stunning visual themes, above par voice acting, and a fun new combat system similar to the likes of Xenoblade. The story, both overall as well as individual journeys, flow together to form one expansive masterpiece. Very excited to see how this franchise builds upon this success going forward.

    I f**king love this game. Top 3 in the series, easily. Battle system is a perfect evolution for the series, usual colorful cast of characters, gripping story, great graphics, and another excellent soundtrack. Other than maybe FF7R, this is the best JRPG you can get on current gen. Expect some crashing on Series X, but that's really the only negative thing I could dock it for.

    Being an old timer fans for Tales Series, the new direction they took for Tales of Arise is welcoming, it still feel like previous Tales game but with much higher budget and care they took to develop this title. The only downside is the monsters variety is repetitive.
    Combat - 10/10
    Music - 10/10
    Story - 10/10
    Gamplay 9/10

    Its a Master Piece Tales game that will be remember forever.

    Now the only reason I say dialogue is a 9 is because the main character references the 'wall' way too much, ended up making me laugh every time he said it.

    I didn't want to put this game down at all though, Very high contender to my top games.

    This has become the best Tales game in every way. Quality, gameplay, character, enemy and environmental designs. Arguably the best Tales story as well. It's perfect for veterans and new players to the series and should be treated as a new beginning, a blank slate. This overhaul was badly needed and now many fans and gamers alike are happy.

    A step in the right direction for this long running franchise. I'm an old fan of the series since Tales of Destiny on the PS1. However, I've fell off the series during the PS3 era. But with this entry, I feel it's the best way to evolve the series without losing its identity. Everything feels fresh. And the gameplay was especially refreshing. Good story, good cast.. those aspects canA step in the right direction for this long running franchise. I'm an old fan of the series since Tales of Destiny on the PS1. However, I've fell off the series during the PS3 era. But with this entry, I feel it's the best way to evolve the series without losing its identity. Everything feels fresh. The combat is pretty slow for the first 20 hours of the game, it's still fun but it's definitely way, way better once you get deeper into the game and get way more abilities to use, which is good because you're going to be fighting a WHOLE LOT of the time in Dahna. I've never played any of the other Tales of games before but this game is definitely one of my favorite games of all time now. I'm just very upset they said there's not going to be any story DLC or a sequel to it coming at all :( but hey maybe that will change since it got such great reception from the people!!… Expand

    I’m giving this a game ten not for the sake of giving it a ten.But because I really enjoyed it I’m not much of a tales of player.I tried tales of zesteria and I stopped playing it.But tales of arise I’ve beaten it and have done about everything and I continue to play it.I would definitely recommend this game.

    Just my game of the year so far, incredible visuals, soundtrack, combat, characters and story. I love every single aspect about it, it has become one of my favorites rpgs. What an amazing evolution the franchise has experienced.

    Absolutely in love with this game! Always can tell how good a game is by how I seem to bow out of RPGs like 30-40 hours in and this game Is not that at all 50 hours in and still just want to keep crushing enemies and trying to get better materials and rarer enemies. Love love love this game!!!

    Addicting and fun, one of the best jrpgs I've played in years. Definitely deserved best rpg at the game awards and thankfully it got it.
    Combat is brilliant, visuals are outstanding, level dsign is good, soundtrack is good and the battle theme is amazing, the storyline is very interesting and overall decent although it does have some pacing issues later on, the characters are also very    Addicting and fun, one of the best jrpgs I've played in years. Definitely deserved best rpg at the game awards and thankfully it got it.

    Coming from Tales of Vesperia, this game in comparison is a masterpiece. I loved the visuals, the characters are all awesome, not one character in the squad was annoying. The COMBAT IS SUPER ADDICTING! i loved how creative you can get with the combos and how unique each character played. The story was kind of dark but done very well. By the time i reached the end of the game i didn't wantComing from Tales of Vesperia, this game in comparison is a masterpiece.     It is my first game in the series "tales of.." and I was fasinating, its gameplay is very good and agile, the story is very good, its music spectacular and visually enchants. it is a game that you should not miss, a masterpiece.

    If i compare this game to other games from this decade, i have to give it 10/10. Only few games got me engaged recently, but this is one of them. This game has so many strong points: story, music, combat and graphics are all top notch. Also it seems to be a rare thing for games to be in working state at launch, but this definitely is.     Absolutely worth the money. Great story and great atmosphere. Best tales game ever made, period. I hope they will continue with tales games like this one in the future.

    Fell in love with the game. Love the characters and was even able to make me cry. The combat is fluid and engaging. Beautiful graphics. Just made me want to explore every nook and cranny. Except for a couple of small bugs I don't have anything negative to point out.

    To say I’m addicted to this game is an understatement. The gameplay is glorious, there’s so many layers and choices. Graphically it’s beautiful, both in environments and character design. The amount of content available is plentiful. I’ve never been a huge lover of JRPGs but this game has broke that trend.

    The wait was worth it. I remember loving Xilia, Symphonia and Vesperia, and Arise doesn't disappoint, it took everything to the next level and it's so addictive! and the music is amazing as always, thanks Motoi Sakuraba. Haven't beaten it yet, but I like to take my time with such masterpieces such as this game. But I can already say… BRAVO! Well done, Bamco.

    I am a huge fan of the Tales series. The evolution that this game has to offer is great. Graphics, combat, skits, and characters have all been evolved to my liking. By evolving, I meant a good change that still preserves the identity of the Tales series.

    I am the type who yearns for (1) medieval-like fantasy and (2) party adventure when it comes to RPG games. I remember when I was in middle school getting so attached to the world-building, story, music, and characters in the games like Final Fantasy 6 or Chrono Trigger. Later in high school, I got my PlayStation 2 with Final Fantasy 10. I was so absorbed with these fantasy games to a pointI am the type who yearns for (1) medieval-like fantasy and (2) party adventure when it comes to RPG games. I remember when I was in middle school getting so attached to the world-building, story, music, and characters in the games like Final Fantasy 6 or Chrono Trigger. Later in high school, I got my PlayStation 2 with Final Fantasy 10. I was so absorbed with these fantasy games to a point that I can still reminisce very clearly the events and the journey that I experienced from these games. These games have impacted me so much that they shape me into what I am now.

    It has been so long since I felt like this until I play Tales of Arise. Although my playtime on the game while writing this review is just around 20 hours and probably around a third (or maybe half? I don't know) of the main story, I am enjoying my time so much with the game, combat, story, exploration, etc. Tales of Arise has a good medieval fantasy world-building and a group of friends with distinctive personalities. I am usually fond of mage classes in every fantasy game so I am mainly playing as Rinwell. The variety of magic is awesome and the ability to combine magic is fun as hell. Playing Tales of Arise gives me the feeling that I am inside that fantasy world and adventuring together with the party. Especially within the combat where they smash the enemy and help me on their own, it just feels like they are all real people fighting and adventuring together with me.

    Western RPGs in general give you a feeling like you are solo playing and the story plot and combat system are usually one-main-character focused. These qualities are not in itself a bad thing but they are just not my preference. On the other hand, while there are modern Japanese RPGs that are enjoyable like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Scarlet Nexus, and Persona 5 that have the quality of party adventure that I love, they don't have a classic medieval fantasy setting that I am yearning for. You know, the classic medieval fantasy setting like the ones that you see in Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy 6, 9, 10 (and hopefully 16 too!!) or in the typical Japanese isekai manga/anime like Mushoku Tensei, Slime Tensei, Cautious Hero, Re:Zero, Shield Hero, etc.

    If you like these two qualities (ie. classic medieval fantasy and party adventure) you will probably be going to like Tales of Arise too. I am happy that Arise introduces me to the Tales series. I will definitely try some of the previous Tales games later.    … Expand

    This is my first Tales game. I wasn’t feeling it at first, but then I loved the first boss. The next area was kinda too linear for my liking, but after that, I enjoyed the game all the way through. That’s when the characters started showing more of themselves.

    Around 10 hours into the game. I find Tales of Arise quite enjoyable. I cant judge about the quality of story yet, but I am sure it's better than average JRPG. The combat and character design are the ones that really shine.     Soy nuevo en esta saga a pesar de que soy amante de los JRPG y la verdad al comenzar a jugar este me ha dolido no haberme hecho fan mucho antes. No hay que decir más que todo en este juego es espectacular: el combate, el arte, la música, el diseño de personajes y la historia. Lo mejor es que hasta una persona que no le gusten los RPG debería probarlo.

    Masterpiece, never played a Tales game all the way through before, never really cared for them but this is truly a level above everything that came before, it’s my shock game of the year.

    Battle system is great albeit a little simple but I don’t mind a game being easy, just stick it on moderate if you prefer more of a challenge. Visually stunning, what else can you say about it.

    Completed in spot on 40 hours, perfect length, never felt like it was dragging its feet.

    Probably won’t go back to older Tales games but damn I’m looking forward to future instalments.    … Expand

    Its a great rpg. I fell in love with turn based, but this makes me not miss turn based one bit its super challenging.i just killed the 2nd lord and really am pacing myself I don't want this one to end.It also makes me want to go back and finish all the other tales games I left partially finished. Not to mention its gorgeous on ps5.

The cast of characters are so intriguing, and each of them have dynamic and thoughtful backstories and motivations. The voice acting cast is absolutely fantastic. Honestly in a world where most people skip cutscenes or speed through dialogue, doing so in this game would be a complete disservice to the amazing plotline, and even yourself for missing out on some of the really thought and feeling provoking interractions and story arcs. The battle system is the icing on the cake here, with a near seamless combination of tactical and free flowing combat that feels somewhere between vintage RPG and Devil May Cry. Every single time I play this game, finding a stopping point seems harder and harder, as the impulse is to keep playing to see where the story is going next. Plus, you cant help but to feel emotionally invested in the characters and their goals and motivations. If I could rate this game higher than 5 stars, I definitely would… Expand

    This game nails that balance between giving you difficult fights that require you to use your head (on hard) and making you feel strong with an ever evolving set of skills and abilities. The gameplay and combos are intuitive, and have lots of room for skill expression. Gameplay 10/10

When you grow up you start to lost interest in RPG game because it require much more effort to play comparing to other single-player game types.     Well I just finished the main story and also completed all the side quests available before completing the main story and.. wow..just.. wow... This is my first tales game and I am completely blown away. What a ride it was. Cannot wait for the next installment of the series.

    The latest entry in the Tale series offers everything loyal fans could have expected, but also has a chance to enamor many newcomers. The story about two heroes from the opposite sides of a conflict joining forces is surprisingly multi-layered, the combat is flashy and satisfying, and the journey leads you across beautiful, varied regions. As for the flaws, I need to mention problems with map legibility and the necessity to grind, but fortunately both issues are occasional. [12/2021, p.68]

    Tales of Arise achieved steady progress under the traditional JRPG framework. With a solid plot and refreshing battle, a very good JRPG experience has been created for players. Although the overall quality is very high, the game still has some problems in character creation and story logic, which prevents it from reaching the peak of the JRPG category.
