I have to say this is a really beautiful game, I heard it's a PC port one, but I never played on PC before, it runs well on PS5, and good price, good graphics.

Beautiful visuals; Well-written characters, Fun combat.

Sword and Fairy: Together Forever is a good enough package of this intriguing RPG, and while Softstar hasn’t added much content or drastically changed up gameplay mechanics – it doesn’t detract from the fact that this is a solid experience that’s worth seeing through to the end. The lack of an English voice dub is a downer, and so is the lack of proper explanation of character progression mechanics and an uneven difficulty curve. Those who have previously played through the game might be tempted to skip this version, but if you haven’t and are even passingly intrigued by the concept or gameplay – you might just end up loving this one.

The foundation for a great game is there. It might be a disconnect between regions, but it felt like this game was trying to do something else than it should have. I feel like it was trying to more teach us of culture than let us play a game.

Absolutely stunning and amazing game. Only irritation is that the audio and visual does not sync up during the video sequences. Other than that it's perfection.

It runs well and looks good on ps5, though there is still drawing distance problem, and some weird translation, but still comprehensible. The audio in the two first boss fights is flawed that needs to be addressed.
Character models of the 4 main casts are good, but the other NPCs look like a ps3 game characters.
Combat is basic and a little clunky, Teammates (NPCs) cannot jump attack enemies when enemies are flying.
Cutscene is well-crafted, especially the subtlety in character's face and wonderful voice acting, but the Interaction between characters in the gameplay (outside the cutscene) feels like between robots, The NPC (teammates) keeps moving in odd manner when talking with the main character, and the lip-sync is slow.
Overall, not at the same level of craftsmanship as recent triple A games since this is one of the first times they make a real-time combat system that deviates from what they did in the past. This game deserved more attention from players.

It's not perfect but it's pretty cool.

It definitely has its flaws, but overall it's a fun game, with a really good story, a pretty decent and fun fighting system, overall good graphics, a lovely soundtrack and a ton of fetch quests. ^^

First of all, if you don't speak Chinese (I can speak it a bit) it might be bit of a drag at times, because there are some longer sequences where it's more like a graphic novel (cause you will have to read ALL THE TIME) because there is NO ENGLISH DUBBING, only English subs (which also contain certain spelling and grammar errors). The cut scenes are not metal gear-esque as some reviews state though, longer sure, but not thaaat long.

The overall graphics are also in the upper tier, although it certainly looks like a PS3 game at times. The character models are very well done, the surroundings, especially the cities, temples etc. are well done, but some landscapes, which are naturally rather barren, don't look really next gen. You will also encounter some really poor textures here and there. But it still looks really beautiful because of the overall artwork and details. The animations (except the fighting) also look very last gen at times and the character's mimic/gestures are also quite poor most of the time.

The sound can be really awful at times. It's not really balanced (music vs sfx) and Xiu Wu’s foodsteps in combination with the fabric movement of his clothes sound like somebody is crunching a chips bag right next to your ear. It was really annoying in the beginning but after some time your ear will just get used to it (like living next to an airport). The soundtrack itself is a thing of beauty though.
The main quests will guide you through the main story and, as I said above, I really liked the story. They also tried to mix some "mini games" in there which are sometimes fun, sometimes really frustrating (jump'n'run elements with no jump'n'run mechanics are a bad idea). The side quests however are, apart from a few exceptions, your typical fetch quests – “Get me this and I will give you that in exchange”. They also don't add a lot to the story. Some of them will deepen your understanding of the world or Chinese mythology in general.

The fighting system is well balances and you can choose between 2-4 very different characters, who all come with a very different fighting style and skill set. The strongest character (especially in the last third of the game) is Xiu Wu uses weapon combat and you will probably just use him for fighting, if you want to reduce the fighting time. Yue Qingshu is a well balanced character (weapon/magic), Bai Moqing is the mage and Sangyo is good for long range combat because of his crossbow, which comes in handy when facing flying foes. All of them have special attacks which you will gain by leveling your character. In the last third of the game you will also be able to use a very powerful special ability and will also be able to summon a certain “Deity”. The equipment system is your typical RPG system, nothing more nothing less. You can buy plenty of weapons and also find new weapons in crates throughout your journey. At the blacksmith you can also forge weapons, which are mostly superior to the ones you can buy and you can also enhance certain weapons. You can cook, which boosts your attributes and you have your generic healing plants/potions. The latter might be a bit annoying at times because you have a reduced number of times you can use potions. You can have 20 potions in your inventory but are only allowed to use it 3 times during a fight, which makes the fight tougher and especially later on might be a bit too tough. Somewhat innovative are the “Spirits”. They are basically “Summons” that you will collect throughout the main quest, which will help you with powerful attacks during a fight, but the usage of such is limited to Yue Qingshu. You have a special Spirit menu, where you can pet (okay…) and feed your Spirits. By feeding them “Spirit Fruits” they level up and grant you certain attributes, which can also be customized.
As I said in the beginning, it definitely has its flaws but it I still enjoyed it a lot. Completing
it with all side quests and some wandering around took me about 30 hours on “normal”.

And it had been patched quite a lot since its initial release after receiving feedback from community.

It carries over a dedication, many dreams, a long history of its series, and "emotional attribution" to Chinese elements, such as characters, clothing, buildings, decorations, background story and fighting style. All those are quite well presented on PS5 due to the capability of the hardware.

Good : Chinese culture presentation with beautiful graphics, sound and architectural design.
Decent combat experience, well designed cut-scenes, and overall fun experience. It also has three difficulty choices, and a hidden hardest difficulty in new game plus for hard core gamers.

Bad : Lack of auto-lock on and auto lock on switch options and have to adjust lock manually. Losing lock will affect camera angle and subsequently affects hit accuracy and dodging. Sound effects are not consistent well polished enough.

Give it a nine for the fun level it brings to me and the value delivered comparing to its cost.

    Intelligence is online and courageous

Most of the heroines of Xian Jian's previous works have some small defects in age and personality.

For example, Xianyi's Zhao Linger and Li Xiaoyao were only 16 years old when they first met, and after that, because of Nuwa's snake body, they were constantly involved in the vortex of power, and the end can only be said to be forced to shoulder Nuwa's fate and save Cangsheng.

Another example is Xuemi's Xuemi of Immortal San, Wen Hui of Sanwai, the two are typical "unguessable, unreasonable", the male protagonist does not say something right, he will die or live, it is easy to make people's heads big.

Another example is the virtuous and gentle type, Xian Si Liu Mengli, Xian Wu Tang Yurou, very rational and knowledgeable, is very perfect, but they are all Miss Qianjin, the body is weak, and the player is only treated as a goddess.

Only Xian Qi's Yue Qingshu is mature and stable in character, responsible for the affairs of the sect since he was a child, practicing a good sword technique while being harmonious with his neighbors and smooth. Coupled with the high emotional intelligence in verbal dialogue and having your own opinion on anything, such a setting is the "perfection" that the protagonist should have.

Mutual friendship with the God Race, the Demon Race, the Immortal Race, and the Miao Frontier

The two key figures of Immortal Qi, "Xiuwu and Xiaoqiu", are both closely related to Yue Qingshu, and through them, Yue Qingshu has successively gone to the second realm of gods and demons, and interacted with the Heavenly Demon Kuiyu and the Nine Heavenly Xuannu. (These two big figures have great influence in all walks of life, and the genius also invited Yueqing to fly to the divine realm, although she was politely rejected in the end)

On the human side of the world, there is a relationship with Sang You, Yue Qingshu can freely cross the Nine Springs to the Six Realms, and the relationship with Bai Moqing is naturally also in contact with the Xianxia Sect (now the head of the decent school of Xianxia martial arts), and also has a good relationship with the head Shen Zhushuang. In the DLC plot, Yue Qingshu takes over as Mingshu, and is the witness of Shen Zhushuangdang.

Such a network of relationships, even if Yue Qingshu falls into the realm of death, it is estimated that he can have a way to come back to life.

Harvest the Five Elements Imperial Spirit

Good luck is also a must-have factor for the protagonist! Yue Hanshan, the head of Mingshu, once mentioned, "It is not easy for ordinary people to have an imperial spirit in their lives, but this child has constant chances." It shows that in the eyes of the old head, the number and talent of Yue Qingshu to subdue the imperial spirit are rare in the past, and the five elements of the imperial spirit are all possessed, and there are old seniors such as Hazhan and Gubai, and there are no ancients and no ones after the proper configuration!

The two major information of the Immortal Seven DLC: the Realm of Ascending Immortals and the Guangda Mingshu

The DLC praise rate of Xian Qi this time is extremely high, and while the plot ends the story of Xian Qi, the setting of Yue Qingshu has also been completed, and Yue Qingshu, who ended the cultivation of the five elements, met the ancestor Yue Xilou, saying that its realm has been opened, implying that Yue Qingshu at this time has reached the same realm as himself.

Sword and Fairy: Together Forever is a proof that Chinese studio can bring fast-paced action RPG with different Asian flavour. There are long cutscenes worth watching and solid combat system with engaging characters and their skills. What a fine alternative bringing also good plot from different mythology.
