Jan 29, 2025ROBOBEAT is an exciting FPS because of how it weaves a killer soundtrack and punchy combat into its DNA. Firing to the beat of a suite of incredible tracks and sweeping across a techno playground is one of those simple joys in life. While players shouldn’t expect deep roguelite progression, the tools on hand are meant to fuel the frenetic pace, throwing players into a madcap state of sublime shooting.

Jan 29, 2025The practical lack of a good narrative construction and the divisive visuals can be scary, but there is no doubt that ROBOBEAT is an unexpected well-balanced mix of classic FPS, rhythm and roguelike, with the fluid and addictive gameplay cycles as its greatest and most competent asset.

Jan 30, 2025Robobeat provides impeccable FPS gameplay within a context that's particularly exciting for musicians. Aiming, shooting, dodging, everything flows so seamlessly when being done to a beat. The rogue-lite makes it punishing but also so hard to put down.

Feb 10, 2025Robobeat is a game packed with ideas. Aside from the rhythmic element, the sheer variety within combat makes for a thrilling experience. As a roguelite, it's short enough to forgive some of the randomness ruling out certain builds or simply leaving you in a place where playing perfectly is your only way forward. It's got a solid soundtrack with fluid presentation that can make the action slick.

Mar 11, 2025ROBOBEAT manages to convincingly blend the rhythm game genre with roguelike shooters to create a mix that I hadn’t ever considered before. It banks on the spectacle of synchronised action and does so with explosive results. While I don’t necessarily think the aesthetic manages to stand the test of repeated playthroughs, what is here is commendable and certainly well-conceived.

Feb 5, 2025Sure, the merger of first-person shooter and rhythm game might seem like an unnatural pairing. But Robobeat gracefully melds the two genres together, with each trigger pull in time with the game’s groove-heavy soundtrack.
