Remorse: The List is a love letter to Cry of Fear, updated with modern visuals and a small-open world concept. My score is given based off theRemorse: The List is a love letter to Cry of Fear, updated with modern visuals and a small-open world concept. My score is given based off the fact that Cry of Fear is an indie horror staple, but if that game didn't do it for you, neither will this. While it was great to see fast-moving twitchy enemies, creepy locations and spooky apartment corridors, the game itself needs some polish. I'm all for a no hand holding experience, but there were times that progression was imposible. I eventually had to look up a guide, then ultimately kept the guide out as I had realized there was no way I would have figured out what to do. Neither the story, notes, environmental story telling- nothing even hinted at what to do next. The tension was lost rather quickly and I was running and gunning, no problem. Where the game does shine is in its gameplay, enemy design, some decentley spooky ambience in close-quarter areas, and a nice horror game to remind of the good ol' Cry of Fear days.
If you don't care for the good qualities of this game, you might not like it. I however can't wait to see what this developer does next!… Expand
