This "expansion" is very, very light on content - it's the sort of thing that you'd normally expect for free in other games as a bonus between seasons or real updates.

The new "end game" beyond these few story missions is a single, static dungeon (with a very awkward-sounding name) with a super-glitchy end boss. While the new mods are interesting and the knock-on build variety boost is definitely well crafted, the offering as a whole lacks any real reason to engage whatsoever when there's literally nothing to do with your new gear and builds than repeat this dungeon over and over to make the numbers go up. It's tragic. In an attempt to disguise this fact, they're made the level grind (Apocalypse tiers) incredibly, painfully slooooooooow, but it won't deceive most.

The previews I read and watched back in April were puff pieces, there's just not anything here worth close to the asking price. If you loved the base game buy it on deep discount and enjoy your weekend with it.

As many have pointed out, the DLC is light on content for the price. Also the grind takes much of the fun out of it. Getting to higher levels and better loot is tedious. Any reasonably paced progression requires co-op, but the co-op is already dead. Nobody playing. Hope the devs take note and fix, because it is a fun game.

The people responsible for "Outriders" have made a good idea and implementation with the big expansion "Worldslayer". The new story is fun, some moments are really well done. In terms of gameplay, you get new and interesting skills in the expansion, which makes the gameplay more pleasant. Graphically and sound-wise, you also get a good title. As a die hard Outriders fan this is extremely overprice, but its the best fun i've had in literally a decade, don't let these casuals ruin your grind with these poor reviews, the game may not be perfect but its a whole lot of fun

Outriders Worldslayer is an expansion in word only. It provides players with some new options for builds and a few fun loot, but its 3-hour story and overall really small amount of content make it look like an incremental free update that tries to scam its players by paying full price for it.

Outriders Worldslayer is a decent expansion to a game that was flawed upon its release. Loot is plentiful, and playing with friends over comms can be a blast. The repetitive gameplay loop and breakneck pacing leave much to be desired, especially when playing solo. Worldslayer won’t convert anybody who wasn’t already on board with Outriders to the cause, as it shares many problems with its predecessor. Still, Worldslayer will give fans of the base game reason to return to Enoch’s world.

If you truly enjoyed the original Outriders, you'll probably have some more fun with Worldslayer expansion pack, although most of the shortcomings of the original game are still there.
