    Game does not show most important things, but it was great idea to show which random player leaves server.

    Flying NCPs, disappearing (not destroyed, disappearing) world elements. That's the worst and most expensive DLC EA ever published.

    C'est un très bon jeu need for speed si il est si mal noté c'est car les gens veule toujours plus toujours plus vite le jeu est bien les graphisme et le mélange réaliste et animé et parfait certe il a des défauts mais on peu quand même très bien apprécié le jeu

This game is hostile towards its players and the game design goes out of its way to make the player suffer rather than enjoy.     NFS has reached the point of being the most cringy and completely out of touch with reality racing game. The more years and games come after NFS payback, the more NFS payback seems to be a masterpiece and not the utter failure we thought back then. But seriously, this game is horrible. Just play Forza or even Motorfest. Not this.     This game is a mess. I'm only writing this review to counter all the fake 5 star Google reviews that sound like a EA chat bot.
    This is finally the end of the road for me and this franchise. I know it's an arcade racer but there's fun arcade racing and then there's this cheesy pile of crap. It's like the dev's thought they had a good idea with the heat system and just went all in on that    This game is a mess.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Whose stupid idea was it to implement balance between income and cost for racing in a timed schedule to get to the end? You have to pay to race without any certainty to get max result, because the IA is an absolute cheat (which means that winning is generally not an option), knowing you have to have a certain amount of money by a fixed moment in time and invest in your car so you can compete, you have the risk not to have reach the goal by the end....
    The cops are EVERYWHERE EVERYTIME, it is a chore. They are not too bad too loose, but they are on you all the time, it is tiring and boring

    I have rarely play a game so not fun and not inticing in his beginning. It does not make you want to play more.

    The WORST:
    a. You make one mistake during the race and you're done. You have to be perfect otherwise you have to restart, but WAIT, you have limited restarts! Haaaa.

    b. Races are categorized by car rank. But if you have one car, you can't visit the garage to adjust the parts so you can cover all the the different ranked races in one session. This means you lose out of races, especially early game.

    c. You made the wrong choices on your car parts to the point that you can't win races? Too bad. Again, you can't edit your car without giving up the races for the day or night time.

    FIRE THE FK-ING TEAM!! This is such a terrible game. They are clearly diversity hires and don't know a wank about making video games!!!    … Expand

One of the reasons is that after a while, if you don't manage to escape, a bunch of police cars will magically appear around you, including big trucks that are also impossible to get rid of. I hope that the game designer has a special cauldron in hell for such a "great solution". I also wanted to note that the developers have absolutely killed the drift system, or you need to collect only drift cars of each tier, but you won't have the money for it, because you either get little money but bring it to the garage for safekeeping, or lose it because of the chases with the police.

    This game is horrible to play, honestly. Difficulty level on Normal is wayyyy too hard, you always finish 6th or 7th if you're lucky enough ! Consequently you can't buy cool new cars and keep driving old things from the 80's.

    I though the game was about making free races, winning based on your skill and little by little expanding your collection of vehicles and customizing them. Unfortunately, this is not such a game. The AI speed is cheating outrageously to compensate its poor level. As the cops who catch you make you lose all your money, you have to do even more and more races repeatidly.

    I really regret paying this game such a price as the devs haven't found the recipe to keep a game cool and entertaining. The game is frustrating at best, especially the cheating AI. There is no challenge, just grinding over and over.    … Expand

    The stupidest game mechanics are the cops, there are more of them than normal citizens in the city, such nonsense, at the same time they are the dumbest cops I've seen in games, it's not hard to get away from them, but because they often notice you it's stupid.

    Rubberbanding, there is NOT an ounce of RACING in this game, if you buy it you will regret it! It doesnt matter how you spec your car, the ai rubberbands, the police rubberbands, even if you can only race cars in your vehicle class they will go past you with unlimited speed. The controls...the car is either on rails going top speed left or right, or is like a magnet for incoming traffic orRubberbanding, there is NOT an ounce of RACING in this game, if you buy it you will regret it! Cops....you cant drive race to race because after every race the cops pursue you, and believe me they are the worst cops in any driving game...they are spawning where the game wants them to..if u dont believe me google all these things i ve told you.. If you want to waste your money..buy this game, if you dont there are lots of better driving games out there, i m just sorry forza isnt on playstation.     Malísimo, está muy mal hecho, la IA te adelanta sin sentido aunque tengan coches mucho peores que el tuyo. Cuando vas primero te spawnean coches de policía que se estrellan contra ti y te hacen perder la carrera. El peor juego de carreras que he jugado en toda mi vida. Repetitivo hasta la saciedad.     Just terrible in every way. I've played every NFS game in the last 20 years, but this will be my last. I would rather watch raindrops race to the bottom of my window-pane as I stare out into the abyss on a rainy night, seeing the flickering of a broken street lamp through the reflection of my own tired, disappointed eyes.

    NFS unbound é muito bom, traz tudo do universo e ainda mais. Com relação ao anterior Heat tem apenas uma leva aparência gráfica porém o Unbaund é muito superior e a jogabilidade melhorou muito. 10/10.

    Игра хорошая! Нормальная физика вождения, тюнинг и стайлинг на высшем уровне. Стиль персонажей интересный , но сделан не очень. История интересует в начале потом провисает. Считаю ее лучшей NFS за последние 8 лет .

    •Let's start with the graphics: They are just amazing and the whole graffiti effects aren't bad at all, I really enjoy them and I find them to be quite the charm. Love how Criterion wants to experiment and not be the same game with same graphics but just different map that is even inferior to the last one. *Cough cough* Forza    The game is like "NFS Heat" but just better in every aspect!

    •Let's start with the graphics: They are just amazing and the whole graffiti effects aren't bad at all, I really enjoy them and I find them to be quite the charm.     •Map: the map which is based on Chicago is very lively. It really feels like the RL city.
    •Races: While they aren't the best in the series I gotta say, they are very fun and not *that* repetitive.
    •Car selection: Maybe not the best and recycled from "NFS HEAT", it's let to be desired.
    •Car Customisation and Upgrading: The car customisation is probably one of the best in the franchise and maybe in racing games in general, it's really full with variety of car parts that can make the car you want to build. The upgrading is really grindy, but honestly I really don't mind it, I was quite sick of racing games where I can have Porsche 911 Turbo S in just 1 day of good playing. I wanted that raw and slow and "realistic" tune sistem that shows you just how far you went with your whip.
    •Cops: *phew* here we go, are the cops in NFS Unbound good are they just plain Need for Speed 2015 horrible, well they are in between. Because they are better than 2015 and Need for Speed Payback, they aren't quite fun as NFS HEAT's cop difficulty or just Need for Speed: Most wanted. They tend to be sometimes annoying, when you get to heat 5, because they are easy to get away, they are everywhere. And can't just drive around normally without 5 cops being behind you just because they SPAWNED NEXT TO YOU.
    •Last but not least story: The story while not as good as NFS Heat's it's better than 2015 and Payback's whatever those were trying to be. Atleast Unbound KNOWS what story it should have and doesn't copy other franchises and be confused. The voice acting and characters are OK, they are cringe but hey! When didn't NFS have cringe dialogues and character, atleast now it is selve awared about it and I love it!
    •So NFS Unbound is a big Hit or Miss for some people but if we look at the positives and not negatives we might see a nice crafted game with some respect and maybe care.    … Expand

You are stuck with terrible feeling cars for hours and it's simply not fun, espcially when you get to do the delivery missions allowing    This is as bad as payback.     Your car can drive through 60% of objects such as trees, fences, walls, road barriers, rocks. It can get very confusing due to the inconsistency of this and it get's hard to know what you can drive through and what not.
    The checkpoints are way to small and are only meant for you... If you miss it, you are respawned. If the AI misses it, nothing happens. Giving the AI an advantage, because he can push you out fo the trajectory, while you can't.
    Police are stupid. Way to easy to shake off. The helicopter doesn't serve any purpose.

    The whole UI is confusing. The map seems extremely small and is boring af.

    Props for adding pedestrians, but no one asked for it.

    This is the kind of BS where you ask yourself if the developpers did even test the game.

    DO NOT PAY THE FULL PRICE FOR THIS GAME. I got it discounted and still feel cheated.    … Expand

    There used to be a time when you would hit your nitrous, and your car would ACTUALLY go faster than the racers around you - if they WERE NOT hitting boost at the same time. This is gone. Nothing but rubber banding bullsh!t for the last 5 or 6 titles. This is so disappointing as I used to love the franchise whole heartedly and believed it to be the "COD" of Racing titles.     ich will garnicht erst auf die langweilige und Zeitverschwendene Story eingehen aber das es wirklich immer nur das selbe ist ist halt scheiße das einzige interessante sind die autos die man sich zusammenstellen kann. Für die Story empfehl ich euch einfach alles so gut wie möglich zu skippen und dann nen moneyglitch bei der quali zu machen falls ihr die spielen wollt. Das einzige was ich noch loben kann sind die Collectables das das wenigstens nicht so schlecht wie in z.B. Spiderman oder Horizon ist.
    Zum Multiplayer kann ich fast garnichts sagen außer das es wenigstens etwas spaß macht wenn man mit freunden spielt.

The rest of my experience was so bad I rage quit and deleted the game mid race.     Sorry to say. Regret that i bought it digital and can't sell it. No physics, no story.... Have a lot of cars, that's nice. But doesn't save the game.

    I enjoyed the style and the new risk and reward gameplay. but oddly enough it feels more like a criterion remix of a ghost era game rather than being a fresh start for criterion and the series as a whole. If you liked HEAT you'll like this.

    Big NOPE. This game is insanely bad. Even its ARCADE RACING, the handling is sooo unpredictable. Now, with the BURST nitro you cannot take the corners fast without the BURST in the bar. Why? If you touch the rival/traffic/wall the steering wheel locks for some sec, and your wheels are locked in the ‚neutral’ position, and you cannot make a big angle - so you cannot manipulate the steering wheel, cannot turn. Same thing happens after every ‚drift’. The roads are filled with random bumps, and the bumps also locks ur steergin wheel. The game should be fun, but the only fun thing is the car customization. Thats all. Fckn **** Worst NFS EVER! NFS RIVALS was filled with bugs, but at least it was mooore fun! The drift is also unpredictable bcs sometimes it gives the standard angle, but sometimes extremely wide and then your car makes a spin. Even at the 5th gear and only 5000rpm.     Antes de comprarlo mire aquí las malas críticas y las buenas que tiene el juego y no hice caso a las malas y ha sido realmente un error. De verdad me siento totalmente ESTAFADO he dado mi dinero a una compañía de basura que no sabe hacer casi ningún juego bien joder. No volverá a pasar.

    Gameplay and visuals are very appealing. Customization is just what I wanted and custom characters give a nice touch on top of that. However, soundtrack is low/mid and cop chases are more of an annoyance than real challenge. I also would’ve liked more variety of opponents. Haven’t finished the story yet but I don’t think that’s the main point in racing games (for me at least).

I like the overall art direction of the game as it gives NFS an identity and the effects were really cool when drifting or using the nos boost. driving is well done in this game, like the overall map and environment, and like how the game overall progresses for the final race.

    However, the game needed different events, as the game is split into four weeks, but by week three it starts to get repetitive. I think at that point they should of added some drag races, time trials, or maybe even like elimination style, just something to switch it up a bit. Because by the end of it the game starts to get stale.

    That's due to the story is okay, but the characters range from cool to downright annoying, it also didn't need the satire that many comments will mention, like it's just annoying commentary that becomes cringe. It is what it is but the game didn't need the annoying podcast commentary and the main characters can say some random bs too that doesn't make any sense.

    Overall, I like this game though, and hopefully it sells well enough so we can maybe get something similar to this game, but with some better writing for once.    … Expand

I had to keep grinding the same races to earn enough money to enter in to the next race. This got old really quick. Performance tiers allow a wider variety of cars to be useful, and the jump to current gen consoles gives a welcome boost to resolution and 60fps. After a disappointing first "update", the online may improve with new content and much needed bug and QOL fixes, but i'm not holding my breath for EA to deliver.… Expand

Driving through forests or fields without knowing where i am going, not enjoying the games, just to avoid the cops. Excessive still doesn't fully describe how overdone the amount of cops in the game is.

    There are also money glitches that haven't been fixed in a month after release and basically make money meaningless.

    I hadn't played NFS for a long time and came back to this with PS5. I have played for an hour or so but I really loved it. I see there is RPG aspect in this game that play time will be a lot to build up cars but I feel this is a very well made game.

AI has catch-up boost and a lot of speed if it’s the one or two cars picked to challenge you at the beginning of the race.

    -Cartoony graphics can’t be turned off, I.e. wings sprout from the car everytime a jump is made. Annoying
    -Cops are everywhere, especially at night. Most of the game at night is spent running. -safe house is safe only if there isn’t any heat, would be nice if you could drive into you garage and drop heat.
    -can’t return to safe house unless you plan on advancing to night or day. -game will auto swap cars before a race but won’t put you back into original car. Heat 5 with class B cars anyone? -can’t switch cars once you leave the safe house Online mode on PS5 doesn’t work, when connecting to EA, an error message appears and white screen, no inputs from controller unless it’s a ps button.

    Only thing worst than this game is the fake reviews and other sites that promoted this piece of garbage. Don’t know who is worse scum the developers or the reviewers…zero negative reviews from the amateur critics at Metacritic…what a load of BS    … Expand

The story in the game is good and the cops aren't too hard to get away from unlike heat during the early days after launch. The AI is a bit on the harder side but I liked the challenge. Story mode and online mode are separate, kinda like GTAV.     Previous NFS was good and fun to play. This one is waste of money. Trust me and watch some videos first - advice from a person that already lost $$

    Handling of the cars is the worst I have ever experienced in a Need for Speed game. The slightest braking or turning deep makes the car drift. Makes this game pretty much unplayable, massive downgrade from Need for Speed: Heat.
    Also the dialogue of this game is so bad and cringe, I don't understand how anybody at EA approved releasing this game.     While by no means perfect, Criterion's put the franchise back on the road with NFS Unbound. Oozing with originality, and giving players their fix however they want to play (whether in story mode, online, customizing cars, or outrunning the cops), Need for Speed Unbound is the strongest outing the series has had to date since Criterion's Hot Pursuit entry in 2010.

You get out of the garage, on Heat 5, a chopper spawns right above it, not 5 seconds once you start.     The patrol cars are on every corner in free roam and I do mean it on every corner. One behind another, 2 to 3 in one intersection.
    Once they start chasing you, you lose precious time trying to get rid of them, only to end up in one spot for 10min waiting for them to go away once you escape and repeat that same thing a few more times, while going around the freaking map, just to reach a destination.
    The undercover cops are such an unnecessary addition. As if, all the mentioned wasn`t enough.
    At this point, completing the game becomes a chore.
    I have spent more time being a sitting duck rather than racing, which is the whole point of the fu*kin` series.
    After the cops, there`s the godawful AI racers. Completely unoptimized and setting up the game to relaxing difficulty does not make the game relaxing at all. I tried the game on challenging but soon set it to relaxed, only to experience the same thing.
    Racers such as Justicia (350Z) and Harlow (C8) make the game a living nightmare when you try to progress through the story mode. Even when you don`t bet against them, often they feel rigged.
    Like, you blow them away at one point and the next, one of two of them are breathing down your neck at the finish line.
    Also, often, trying to catch up to lets say Harlow, you will chase her from 0 to 70% and only remain a bit close to her and still lose.
    After the atrocious AI, there`s the grind.
    You get bombarded with buy-ins, that take a whole lot of money from you and in return, you barely get anything. Even when you bet against someone.
    Through most of the game, you can barely save up to even have a shot at a weekly qualifier.
    Only at the last week you get a sensible amount, if you manage to beat the bad AI, that is.
    Another thing regarding money, which frustrates me so much, is that, in order to upgrade your ride to the next class (A, A+, S and S+), you need to pay a large amount of money.
    If you want to get your B tier car to S, you have to not only pay for the parts BUT also something called a garage upgrade.
    I have seen games like Gear Club 2 implement that but there you can actually handle that expense.
    In Unbound, it takes away most of your hard earned cash, AND you have to redo the same races over and over again to save up and buy the parts you "unlocked".
    The drifting in this game is just plain bad.
    Taking a powerful. RWD car and not being able to achieve barely any score, after a long drift is not optimized scoring. Wont even mention taking a lower end car to a drift event. Some of them are actually off road, which is pure stupidity.
    The voice acting is blander than my voice. The main character sounds like he is about to give a TED talk seminar about global warming.
    In Heat, the character sounds like a normal person and you can relate to him, his tone when speaking to someone in real life. In Unbound, even in intense *moments, its so bad !
    Speaking of voice acting. The AI racers just don`t shut up. And turning down the voices in the audio settings mutes even the cutscenes, which is stupid.
    Now, onto the music.
    Same as Heat, a few good ones while to rest suck fat, hairy a**hole.
    No variety at all. And some songs like Ice Cream, Money are pure cringe and oh my god, I can`t stand that guy yelling MASSO, all the time....
    The cars handling to me became too snappy. They often feel good but, no matter what car it is, it starts to jump like crazy over the smallest things, specially when you upgrade to S and S+.
    The customization is better in some capacity. Some parts are absolutely wild but that does not help too much with my final score.

    I've played every Need For Speed this is the worst one I ever played. Playing hardest/medium/easiest change nothing when it come to racing, because they have such crazy rubber banding that all CPU are 100m away from you at all time. You constantly fighting cops every single race.     Cops are really annoying. Their spawning out of thin air you get them on you for just driving down the road the damn speed boost they get to be way faster than your car is stupid its post to be a fun car game not a super hard over power cop game. Also they can't keep racism out of a game or transgender I don't want to hear about all that driving people to a safe house also I really dislikeCops are really annoying.     i was kinda hopeful that this game would make a path to a better future of nfs. i guess i just put my hopes too high. i know some "critic reviews" are giving such high score, im not sure if they are genuine or not

Cops spawning from everywhere, it's no fun anymore. So so so annoying!!! Also, disappointed at the last gen graphics. It's basically NFS: Heat level graphics. Do not expect the new generation 4KCops are so annoying. For those die hard cop chase fans, it's good. For players like me who just want to enjoy normal racing, this really kills the game.     I've been waiting for a good Need For Speed for 12 years ! Since NFS Hot Pursuit back in 2010, the series has gone downhill for quite a good time now ! Thankfully NFS Unbound brings so much style and personality coupled with great gameplay and sense of progression to win me over again ! The street vibe, the city, the graphics, the soundtrack, my god THE SOUNDTRACK IS EXCELLENT !! The wholeI've been waiting for a good Need For Speed for 12 years !     Need for Speed was seriously starting to look dead and buried – and here comes the rescue party! The combination of beautiful, realistic-looking graphics and effects borrowed straight from an anime works surprisingly well, the story doesn’t get in your way and the driving model hits exactly the right spot. Even the open world is fun! This is how you make an arcade racing game.

    Need for Speed Unbound is the best modern NFS to date. It is still riddled with issues like rubberbanding and weird drifting physics, but it still provides its players with the best handling system in years, with grip racing finally back. With the best visual design NFS has ever had and some interesting campaign decisions, it gives hope that the series is back on track to becoming something great.
