Kona 2: Brume is an exciting and engaging video game, biting and well presented. If on the one hand it offers a wonderful and solitary glimpse of Canada, to be precise the Quebec region, on the other there is a thick mystery to be solved that is as complex as the world. Strengthened by an extremely elegant, high-caliber game design, the production achieves its goal without hesitation and with the maturity of someone who wants to say "Present!" in one of the busiest months on the scene for several years now.

Kona II Brume is a direct follow-up to the 2017 adventure, with the same strengths (great atmosphere, good writing, rewarding exploration) and the same weaknesses (weak shooting, stiff animations, inconsistent enemies) of the first title. It's overall better thanks to new graphics and more focused story, but we would only recommend it to fans of the first chapter.

With its gripping plot and scenarios that can be explored with great pleasure, Kona 2 represents a worthy successor to the first chapter, even if characterized by a series of defects that prevent it from taking flight. The gameplay has undergone too many simplifications, the combat system experiences ups and downs and some passages are frustrating due to the absence of indications. In short, those who loved the prequel will also appreciate its direct sequel, as long as they turn a blind eye to these critical issues.
