    Most fun i had in long time, devs are very active took them 1 day to fix some balances problem which already shows that if the game keeps growing they will care about the playerbase.
    People who say the combat is not good clearly dont put in enough time or effort to learn how to move, combat feels fluid and very rewarding once you know what your doing.

    People above probably lost their first duel and are super mad lmao. The game is great, I'm super impressed but yeah it could be better, really hard to parry on reaction right now with the lag.
    I don't see much emerging gameplay and that's why I'm afraid the game would not last long, but for now I think it's super fun and the few fighting game mechanics you added are doing the job.

    Super underrated game. New company, new game - we've got to help them spread the news.
    I love the combat, best fighting game in 3D environment, there are many characters which are super unique and have various play styles. Offers BR solo/trio, 1v1 death match and there will be more game modes in the future (2v2 death match coming soon). BR mode is actually quite refreshing, unlike any    Super underrated game. New company, new game - we've got to help them spread the news.

    I love the TRIO mode, have lots of talking to my friends, telling them where to go who to kill, best graphics out of any other Battle Royale RPG

    TAG mode 1v1 is excellent, Love to play with momo, she is my favorite hunter, i recommend this game to new players.

    Great PS+ multiplayer game. Graphic is ok because it is only 12GB. Killing PC players using crossplay is satisfying.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Really boring game. There's nothing to do on the maps really. You can either have really boring battles against AI's, or just be fodder for better players. If you haven't been obsessively playing it since it came out on PC, you'll never live long enough to get any better. Don't waste your time or money… Expand

    Game felt like early PS4 Gen. Definitely feels like a PC port, controls, combos and traversal are not smooth. Didn’t have reliable consistent engagements with PvP and the PVE was like a PS3 game. Defiantly got owned by PC players coming over, didn’t really enjoy anything in 5 hour of playing and content instanta death near the end of the match after grinding up.

    The game feels unpolished.
    Controls are bad, gameplay is dull, combo moves don’t interact with enemies and it honestly feels like they could have spent more time mastering the fighting system before publishing the game.
    That walk speed - turtle + snail = sloth speed. My experience so far with the game has been dull with no need to progress. The game is trying to be the next Nioh without    The game feels unpolished.

    First blush, it reminds me of PUBG gone fantasy, mixed with a healthy helping of League of Legends. Very interesting concept.

    There are a ton of controls. Weapon attacks and unarmed martial arts attacks. Blocking. Skills. Quicksteps and jumps. Combos. Even cancellations. One play through on the tutorial is nowhere near enough to learn it all. It feels more sane once you practice for 15-20 minutes. You'll also find some controls presented that were not in the tutorial.

    There are a lot of mechanics to digest. Multiple characters with different styles. Executable skills, like in other MOBAs. Character attributes. They also have character specialization trees, and gear that can be enchanted/enhanced in various ways. Plus stats.

    Tactically, the game retains the PUBG manhunt feel. You can chase people down, hide in grass, etc. And of course, the map does the ever-shrinking thingy. There are horses, instead of cars. Lots of gear drops all over the place.

    On top of that, they seem to have integrated NPC combat opportunities. This aspect reminds me of league of legends in the jungle.

    Seems like a lot going on, overall. More than enough for strategy to happen.

    Graphics obviously shine in this one, beyond question.

    I had no trouble getting into a game. Zero wait.

    Seems like this one has promise. I am hopeful. Unquestionably will keep and play more.

    But will it become my new goto game? Not sure. Depends if it starts to engage me more in terms of strategy. I'm sure it will. But the learning curve is steep.    … Expand

    Hunters Arena Legends at the time of this review is free for playstation plus, this is an mmo rpg battle royale game that can be played solo or with up to 3 player teams, here you choose one of a variety of charcters which is the bet part of hunters arena legends.. this is a 30 player hero based battle royale, no two games are the same if you don’t want them to be, each charcter feels unique with their own set of skills… here youll be running around a map, collecting pickups to perminately boost your stats, defeating monsters to level up and grab their dropped items, open chests… but unlike a fortnite youre not changing weapons really, your base weapon is just getting stronger and stronger, all while the map is getting smaller, bosses appear for everyone to tak down, and other players are doing the same, youre trying to be the last one standing, ambush, find shields, steal gear, Hunters Arena Legends is probably the most addictive battle royale since fortnite.. onto the negatives though.. theres just a huge lack of AAA feeling polish here, it feels very sliff, clunky, and indie, battles can get a little too hectic with the super close camera, trying to keep your enemy in view… but hey, hopefully if this game is successful enough, they can polish up a bit, but the game feel more smooth..
    For the time being through youll lose hours to this game, one more match trying to master your favorite character..

You have to be a fan of all of those genres to start to enjoy this game. So for a single-player gamer like me who is not skilled with competitive pvp, it's a lot to adapt to. But I do crave new experiences, so as a free ps plus game I found this game quiteAt its core it's a combo heavy fighting game, but in a battle royale map, and with moba elements like jungling and abilities. You have to be a fan of all of those genres to start to enjoy this game. So for a single-player gamer like me who is not skilled with competitive pvp, it's a lot to adapt to. But I do crave new experiences, so as a free ps plus game I found this game quite attractive. The game looks gorgeous on a ps5, character designs and their ability animations look beautiful, and any dev that takes the hard route of bringing fresh ideas to the table deserve attention. I will be happy to see a growing player base and content, but the way it's looking I predict a cult following.

    Like any competitive game, this one requires hundreds of hours to be invested. But right now what is holding me back is the control jank on a ps controller. There is no button remapping right now, you can only choose between two presets. And unless you press L2 (to run) after each time you do something, the character does a useless slow and sliding walk. This for me is a dealbreaker. Gameplay in general feels quite stiff. The last two games I played are Returnal and Chivalry 2 and compared to their fluidity and responsiveness, this one seems primitive.

    I will put a few more hours to see if I am starting to master the jank. If not, I will put it aside and maybe revisit if the game is doing well. If you have ps plus, there is no reason to not try it. There is a lot of ps plus games that I don't pay attention to, but this one is absolutely worth a try. It is definitely not for everyone, but may resonate with you.    … Expand

    The arts is another point attracting me. It is probably the top art I have seen in similar games. The battle system is decent and well done.     There is a good amount of skills and characters in the game. You can but outfit for the characters (I don't know if are they bought by real money or game money though). By killing npcs you can drop items and equip them automatically, however it does not change appereance.     The game scenario is amazing, when you play the game, it seems that you are inside the game, combat system needs to be studied and put it to work, but once you get the hang of it, you can win many many games. 10/10

    Extremely fun in my opinion! and they were surprisingly quick for the 1st post launch patch and balances! I'm a huge fighting game junky and this game just hits that spot for me.

Match-finding is pretty much instantaneous, doesn't take more than 10 or 15 seconds.     The game overall is extremely fun, it consist in creating destructive combos to be the one getting out of the fight alive, juggling your opponents and alternating normal attacks to martial arts (which break through guard but can be parried).

    After an initial drop (like in every battle Royale), your purpose is to gain experience by fighting mobs and levelling up, killing other players and gathering better equipment through boss fights, chests and more.

    I'm personally addicted and I really LOVE the game, both for his mechanics and graphics.

    So far I have tried a couple different characters and won a solo match, I think this style of Battle royal is so dope.
    The battle mechanics are good but take some getting used to and are still a tad rough around the edges, which is to be expected since the game just got released.
    Over all I think the game has a lot of potential and I hope it keeps progressing as new players join!

    This is by far my favorite game of all time the only game that has been able to fill the void that paragon left behind this game is unlike any other its some wierd combination of moba battle royal tekken and dynasty warrior i love this game so much hope it goes far!!!!

    This game got me hooked like no other. For the fans of fighting games, RPGs, platformers and battle royale of course, this is a fresh combination of all. The main strength is in the fact that this is no pay2win, there's plenty of characters to choose from and everybody begins each game with the same chance to win. It's all about skill in Hunter's Arena. The devs are frequently patching theThis game got me hooked like no other. For the fans of fighting games, RPGs, platformers and battle royale of course, this is a fresh combination of all. The main strength is in the fact that this is no pay2win, there's plenty of characters to choose from and everybody begins each game with the same chance to win. It's all about skill in Hunter's Arena. The devs are frequently patching the game to make sure all the characters are balanced. Performance wise, this game runs flawlessly on the PS5 which puts the immersion on the next level along with the use of the new features of the DualSense controller. Also there's almost no wait time and the action doesn't stop as you're either fighting monsters or actual players. There's even a slipstream mechanic that ensures running away from combat is not as easy, so in most cases players have to think twice whether they attempt to run away from a combat or fight

    After 26 hours of gameplay (on PS5) and with a platinum trophy almost completed, i can finally give a review to this game.

    GRAPHIC (Rating 6/10) : I’m not gonna waste to much time here. The graphics is good for characters but nothing special about environment, particles and visual effects.     I’m not gonna waste to much time here. The graphics is good for characters but nothing special about environment, particles and visual effects.

    INTERFACE (Rating 4/10):
    The interface is very simple, easy to navigate but when you start queue for a match, the game don’t allow the player to change window and check other features.
    I’m a player that like to check other in game features while waiting the matchmaking, like checking other characters skills or shop offers. Not having the possibility to do that is a big loss.

    COMBAT (Rating 2/10):
    The mechanics are simple, it’s a battle royale after all, you have to fight against other players and monsters and being the last one standing. BUT! The combat is slow and clunky, hard to combo skills and basic attack. Most of the time, a fight against another player is just a spam of basic attacks. The first who hit gonna gain an insane advantage, forcing the other to use the evade skill or the block skill. In both cases it gonna end up again in a run and catch with basic attacks where the first who hit again, gonna win.
    The skills are slow on activation, especially the ultimate skill it’s almost useless because the enemy player will avoid 90% of the time. Many times i saw my skills hitting the enemy but doing no damage, like i was fighting a ghost. Most of the time it happens with Jun’s grab sword.
    The terrain is a trap for ranged character, fighting monsters or players on a slope terrain, will make your attacks going under the terrain texture, resulting into a missing hit. You need to target lock the player and wait a second before start the combo to avoid this problem, but while doing that you risk to being killed.

    CHARACTERS BALANCE (Rating 0/10):
    Not much to say, play Dalgi, Jun, Momo, Wukong and Ara sometimes, i rarely saw the other characters. Dalgi is really broken, even if its a melee, it’s hard to run from her. The balance in this game not exists at all, even if each character skill set is well structured (e.g. all characters have the main CC on the L1+Square skill), some have just a bigger hit box that will make them easy to be killed, while others have skill animations that looks buggy and lags (e.g. Dalgi L1+X).
    The skills descriptions are poor and most of the time not explain correctly what the skill can do.
    For example the L1+Triangle of Wukong, should evade an attack while leaving a clone and turn you invisible, well, if you are targeting the enemy, that skill make your character dash at the enemy and becoming invisible, also, any attack that reach wukong while the animation is ongoing wont’ be evaded, but will do damage. The same for the pole skill, the description says it makes Wukong invincible while on his pole but it’s not true.

    The basic idea was cool, i’ve always waited for a battle royale game that take action inside a fantasy world with RPG aspects, instead of always be an FPS game or TPS, but sadly that’s not the title that i was looking for…    … Expand
