  • Summary: Grand Theft Auto Online is a dynamic and persistent open world for 16 players that begins by sharing content and mechanics with Grand Theft Auto V, but continues to expand and evolve with content created by Rockstar and other players. Taking the fundamental concepts of open-world freedom,Grand Theft Auto Online is a dynamic and persistent open world for 16 players that begins by sharing content and mechanics with Grand Theft Auto V, but continues to expand and evolve with content created by Rockstar and other players. Taking the fundamental concepts of open-world freedom, ambient activity and mission-based gameplay and making them available to multiple players in an incredibly dynamic online world, we offer players the freedom to explore alone or work cooperatively with friends to complete missions. Residents of Los Santos band together to participate in activities and ambient events, or compete in traditional game modes with the entire community, all with the personality and refined mechanics of Grand Theft Auto V.

You start by creating and developing a unique character from the ground up and can invest in your potential criminal by customizing his or her appearance, improving their stats, owning customized vehicles, purchasing personal property, and taking part in Jobs, Missions and activities that continually open up new opportunities to rise through the criminal ranks.

Grand Theft Auto Online will continually expand and evolve over time with a constant stream of new content, creating the first ever persistent and dynamic GTA game world.

It’s delightfully chaotic fun when everything clicks, but GTA Online’s cumbersome pace remains a major obstacle to newcomers, one which this update doesn’t solve. [Issue#14, p.92]

Nearly no improvements at all...charging money for everything. This could have been a great end for gta 5, but it is a disappointment.

Charging money for this update should be considered scam. Buggy missions from PS4 are still here, as well as complete madness. Rockstar, you have gone too far with your greed this time. I didn't even have a problem with your microtransactions for years, because I couldRockstar, you have gone too far with your greed this time. I didn't even have a problem with your microtransactions for years, because I could get anything I want in this game without having to pay real money. Then you greedy developers announced GTA Plus. Even then I wasn't too bothered by a frog shirt or a few cosmetic garbage locked behind a subscription. Now Rockstar has crossed the line by deleting almost 200 cars in the recent update. Their pathetic excuse was to streamline the browsing experience. That is the one of the biggest lies I have ever heard in my life. It's obvious they are doing this as a FOMO tatic in hopes of selling more shark cards and GTA Plus. They already have a car literally locked behind a paywall. They removed most of the cheap cars in a pathetic attempt to get players to buy overpriced cars. I don't want to pay a million dollars for a stupid 90s Civic, just let me buy the freaking Gallardo already. In just under a month, War Thunder, Warzone 2 and now GTA Online have all been ruined by outrageous greed. What is wrong with these greedy developers?

I'm in the verge of quiting GTA Online, but the rest of gaming industry are making it nearly impossible for me to make that decision, because almost all of these developers are far more greedier and lazier than Rockstar. There has been a GTA drought for nearly a decade. You'd think it be a smart business decision to take advantage of the drought and make a AAA GTA alternative for such a massive market. But no, these developers are too greedy and lazy to even bother making a GTA-like game with AAA quality. It's much easier for these lazy cheapskates to make a AAA open world game with an empty wasteland of plants, trees and rocks than a city that is packed with interactable vehicles and peds. The only AAA GTA alternatives we got during this drought were from already established GTA clones like Saints Row and Mafia, or games that already had a gameplay trailer before GTA 5 like Watch Dogs. 10 freaking years, GTA 5 is getting more outdated by the day, technology is only getting better and these developers still can't make a GTA alternative that can compete with GTA 5? How could these studios pass up on such a money-making opportunity? It proves my point that the gaming industry is full of lazy and greedy developers.

The closest thing we got to a new big budget GTA alternative during this current drought of GTA is Cyberpunk 2077. What do you know, it turned out to be a broken and outdated pile of garbage. They couldn't even add a simple police system that 2001 GTA 3 had. That's embarrassing. On top of that, greedy CDPR were too lazy to give me the online they promised. Speaking of which, Naughty Dog failed to keep their promise of revealing TLOU2 online this year and seemingly gave up with it. It's funny how two of the biggest internet darlings regarded as the supposed best can't even add something as simple as online. It proves my point that any studio that refuses to give me online multiplayer in full-priced games are greedy and lazy. You see what I mean? Lazy and greedy devs everywhere, and I'm sick of it. That's why GTA V still makes money, because most of these greedy developers are lazy to give us online or GTA-esque games. What am I suppose to play now? I'm just about done with video games at this point.
