    Captures the feel of the Ghostbusters IP extremely well. It's fun to play as a ghost OR on a team of busters and communication between teammates really enhances the experience and tension! Character customization is well done and there's plenty of upgrade options for your equipment. Highly suggest picking this one up!

    Loved it! Near perfect videogame version of the a Ghostbusters experience. Long time ghostbusters fan and love the attention to detail. Lots of fanservice and nods to the movies and cartoon series. Way better experience when playing with friends and hunting each other. For the day 1 price, it's a great party game to play with some beers. Glad I got this, but now I want more.

    Ticks every box for a ghostbuster game, has the feel and experience you would expect doing the job. Bonus to include the actors from the movies. Reply nice graphics if only a little Fortnite looking .

    This game has good vibes. graphics are ok. there is a nice effort to make you feel you are a ghostbuster. but, unfortunately, the gameplay loop is so paper-thin and half-baked. There is almost no skill involved outside of simple knowledge of game mechanics and maps. this is far too casual to enjoy this game more than a couple of hours...

    In conclusion, Ghostbusters: Spirit Unleashed can make for some great chaotic fun with friends. The core gameplay loop is simple yet enjoyable, and Illfonic has made a game that’s pretty balanced on both ends. Mixing the single-player narrative with the PvP multiplayer is an interesting prospect, but it ends up being a gimmick more than anything else. Furthermore, some annoying design oversights such as the lack of mini-maps and additional game modes can make the game frustrating at times. All in all, it’s a decent experience that might be worth looking into for Ghostbusters fans, but it could have been a lot better had it spent more time in the oven.    … Expand

    Ever wanted to be a Ghostbuster? Hang out in the firehouse? Suit up and customize your character and gear? Play offline by yourself or party up with friends? If so, this is a must play and the price is right. Just watch others play on YouTube or Twitch if you have any doubt of how much fun this game is.

    Just solid all around. I love that you can play as a ghost! My friends and I have clocked some serious hours on this game already!

    Great game that focuses on the multiplayer experience. It checks all the boxes and exceeds a number of expectations for a $40 game. Its fast paced and meant to be exciting especially as it gets into the last 90 seconds. The many ghosts and buster equipment options leaves tons of great ways to play the game as well as a different experience every time. My personal favorite so far has beenGreat game that focuses on the multiplayer experience. It checks all the boxes and exceeds a number of expectations for a $40 game. Its fast paced and meant to be exciting especially as it gets into the last 90 seconds. The many ghosts and buster equipment options leaves tons of great ways to play the game as well as a different experience every time. My personal favorite so far has been the RC-Car trap. Illfonic has once again delivered a great asymmetrical multiplayer experience that really captures the feeling of the ghostbuster franchise while also being creative enough to attract a new generation of fans.

    Pros:
    - Really feels like a ghostbuster experience
    - great multiplayer experience
    - Many different ways to play
    - Balanced gameplay
    - Lots of large maps
    - Many gear options that make a significant difference in every game

    cons:
    - Couple of bugs out the gate but nothing game breaking or unfair. These seem minor enough though that they will probably be fixed within a week or two.
    - Could use a better way to display gear effects on your different items.

    Conclusion:
    While not perfect this is probably the best rendition of a Ghostbusters game to date. Its very fun and even better with friends. For a $40 game this is definitely punching above its weight and is easily more polished and balanced than many of the train-wreck triple A games that have been released in the last few years. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is an amazing addition to the Ghostbusters universe and deserves to be mentioned with some of the best games of 2022.    … Expand

    Ghostbusters Unleashed feels like great potential but most of it is wasted because the haunts are too repetitive and the story is short and rather uninspired. I feel this game could be a lot fun as a single player story-driven game but in this version the story is a mere extended intro with dialog that is unnecessary complex while being uninteresting.     The multiplayer part which of course is the focus can be a lot of fun and the graphics look and work well. The mechanics are a bit wonky at times but do their job once you got into the game a litte bit. Haunting is fun but against a good team it is a hard job to prevail.

    After all I lost interest early in this game. Other genre-like contenders did a way better job offering more variety and overall a better content mix. The price tag on a sale is okay-ish. Bottom-line for me is that I wouldnt recommend the game. If you feel an itch to try it out - wait for a sale and enjoy the fun while it lasts. The game can be enjoyed solo but it feels rather boring. Even on a sale I regret my buy because I feel the game didnt give me much. It stays true to the original and I want to give it that credit. Bugs are still present in this game.    … Expand

    Game has been broken since day 1. Developers state they fixed with patches. It’s exactly the same. EXACTLY. Game crashes. Contracts don’t save progress. Unlockables items are not available due to this. Response from developers is lazy. Lack of effort or sense of urgency when thousands of players have reported these issues.     Ghost Busters SU is the Game Ghostbusters fans have waited for and deserve for multiplayer. The visuals are excellent with no frame loss experienced on my PS5 despite 4 busters and ghosts spewing out VFX, destruction and slime everywhere. Its mind blowing how intense this game gets as matchmaking does a good job at pairing up the group. Impressive visuals can go unnoticed because theGhost Busters SU is the Game Ghostbusters fans have waited for and deserve for multiplayer. The visuals are excellent with no frame loss experienced on my PS5 despite 4 busters and ghosts spewing out VFX, destruction and slime everywhere.     Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has its heart in the right place. It looks, feels, and sounds like Ghostbusters, and with some friends, you can relive the days of playing pretend Ghostbusters. However, it doesn't do much with its gameplay formula beyond the bare minimum. It's great in short bursts, but wears thin after several matches.

    Bustin’ will not make you feel good in this shallow and repetitive asymmetric multiplayer, that is one of the worst of the recent crop of 80s movie homages.
