    Good-
The gameplay is still excellent; New spells are a welcome addition; Characters aren’t written that badly anymore.
Bad- Terrible pacing in opening hours; You still have to buy and play Forspoken. Thoughts- On the bright side, at least the DLC is actually good. It builds on the excellent traversal and combat abilities you had in the base game, all while adding fun new options

    Thoughts-
On the bright side, at least the DLC is actually good. It builds on the excellent traversal and combat abilities you had in the base game, all while adding fun new options to play around with. Your new traveling companion might not be the most cheerful character you meet, but the utility they bring to the combat encounters in In Tanta We Trust makes them an absolutely welcome addition. Despite the quality of the DLC, however, I still have trouble recommending In Tanta We Trust, since you’d still have to pay for the not-as-good Forspoken. If you happen to already own the base game, however, In Tanta We Trust is an absolute no-brainer.

Hate to say it but the dialogue is good. Remember this is a regular girl of the street. Her character is good too. Brash, fresh and vocally smart. Most people would say something similar about freaking dragons

Me ha gustado la historia de este DLC. Da contexto a la guerra de Athia y qué pasó años antes de la historia del juego. Añade nuevos poderes y es divertido a rabiar.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Forspoken was the first game i finished with platinum. I was filled with expectations for the DLC. I wasn't disappointed. More so, I more moved by the story and characters than before. Going to the past to build on the characters' settings was a good move, especially on the relationship between Cinta and Frey. The time between in the main game was all a bit short and bittersweet. In the DLC, you get it longer but still bittersweet. Merely 10 hours, the DLC offers character development for both heroines from start till the end. (ending credits end, mind you).

Another discrepancy is the gameplay. Frey being the past, has totally different powers and yet feels familiar and actually more intuitive than before. Every spell has its own strengths to be fully utilized.
The linear gameplay allows for focus on the story and interactions between the characters, and even with vambrace (I mean cuff).

It was fun. It was short...I just wished there was more. Please Square Enix, Forspoken deserves a sequel more than any other IPs.

Finally we got to see who the enemies are from the other side and where the Susurrus is from. It literally opened the world of imaginations what is beyond Athia. Why did I like this game? It serves the best connection between first installment and sequel. It kept me hyped for whatever there is to discover in Athia. Would I replay the main game again because of the DLC? You bet I will.

The "Forspoken" DLC on PlayStation 5 is the best extra content due to its immersive gameplay, enhanced graphics, and exclusive features. It takes full advantage of the console's capabilities, providing a visually stunning and seamless experience.

Played it without expectations because of all the hate, bad marks and all it received. And its not that bad. Tremendously flawed at some points, but not as bad as everyone says it is.

Story: 6 Tipical story of hero taken to another world, the script is not memorable and its difficult to care about the main character because of her personality, maybe written for a teenager target.

    Gameplay: 2
The control is really awful, and it truly drags down the whole game. It totally lacks accuracy and has input lag. The parkour is clumsy and too automatized in a bad way.
    Art direction & visual: 7
The graphics feel good without being top noch. As for the art direction, the world of Athia lacks a bit of personality and feels a bit generic, like the whole game.
Sound: 7 Just as the visual part, the sound works without standing out. It lacks energy at some points.

All in all, a beautiful concept of enjoying the discover of an open world that is flawed in its execution, specially (but not only) in the inaccurate control of the main character. The story can be entertaining without being memorable, because it clearly follows a formula that we have already seen too many times.

This is a glimpse of what the game could have been without the random netflix writer (that did a poor job on pretty much every front: dialogue, story, and pacing of the story more similar to a TV show than a game ) and a proper worldbuilding.
8 out of 10 only because is quite short. Something like 2 hours.
This also scream "sequel is gonna be a masterpiece" if they ever think about it.

Best time spent on a DLC, it was less than 15euros. It costs the same as a movie ticket and yet I got so much more out of it. Definitely worth my time. Cuff x Frey interactions have improved immensely. Ironically, I want them to talk more. I want more Auden too, tho.

In Tanta We Trust is conceptually a bit odd. While it can be played as a stand alone game, it wouldn’t make sense to do so. On the other hand, players who have beaten Forspoken may not appreciate the pared down mechanics and small scope. There is a way to access the new content from the main game’s campaign, which probably makes the most sense, making it feel almost like a robust side mission. In any case, In Tanta We Trust is neither significantly better or worse than Forspoken, but very much of a piece with it.

Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust is a narratively enticing piece of DLC whose tiny explorable area and lackluster magic system might scare away those looking for a follow-up with a little more oomph. It’s also worth noting that the very end of the DLC sequel baits hard. And, while I’m not sure that Frey’s second journey will ever come to fruition (I’m very aware of everything that’s been going on), In Tanta We Trust, despite its flaws, did help me to look forward to that Forspoken follow-up… if and when it happens.

I think In Tanta We Trust’s biggest weakness is how short it is. Still, despite being only three hours or so in length, the DLC is a solid standalone adventure. It also ends by hinting at a future adventure for Frey and Cuff, which may or may not happen now due to Forspoken’s lackluster sales. It’s a shame, given how this DLC, in particular, highlights Forspoken’s inherent potential. While the DLC’s price isn’t high for its length, you still need to purchase Forspoken to play it. So, whether or not you want to double-dip into Forspoken with this add-on depends entirely on your enjoyment of the base game. Fans of Frey’s first adventure may find an excellent reason to return to Athia here, as In Tanta We Trust is a compelling prequel side-story to Forspoken.
