Sep 17, 2025Formula Legends doesn't offer anything relatively new to the genre and may seem like just another indie game trying to mimic the world's premier motorsport category, but fortunately, the attention to detail in fundamental aspects such as the charmingly light visuals, as well as the simple yet deep gameplay, make it a great celebration of the passion of fans of all generations.

Sep 17, 2025Formula Legends is simply fun. The racing is exciting, the attention to detail and depth is a welcome surprise, the love for F1 is charming and hilarious, and I just can't stop playing it. Still, it's probably not as feature-rich as some might desire. It desperately needs multiplayer functionality, the modes are fairly sparse, and there are some visual hiccups. Regardless, at the end of the day, I'm having an absolute blast with this game. This is an arcade racer I plan on working into my regular rotation of long-term gaming titles.

Sep 17, 2025Formula Legends may be an indie project, but it’s a well-crafted homage to the golden era of Formula 1. It strikes a balance between arcade accessibility and a layer of strategic nuance, offering smooth, enjoyable gameplay that only suffers from a few lingering bugs. The game is easy to pick up and play, delivering instant fun, yet mastering its vintage machines demands time and dedication. While it won’t go down as a landmark racing title, it provides plenty of entertainment for those who appreciate F1 history and prefer a more relaxed experience over the complexity of ultra-realistic sims. A strong package overall—though the lack of multiplayer is a notable drawback.

Sep 17, 2025Formula Legends is a fun, stylized racer that blends sim and arcade elements surprisingly well. While weak collision detection and texture loading hurt the experience, its €19.99 price tag and F1 charm make it worth a spin for fans.

Sep 27, 2025Formula Legends is a game made with passion, there's no doubt about that. It has no official licenses, nor does it seek to rival the Codemasters series, but it makes up for this with humor, a love for the history of Formula 1, and gameplay that, although uneven, manages to hook you in. Its shortcomings are obvious: the absence of multiplayer, AI balance issues, and certain inconsistencies in the simulation mechanics. It doesn't quite gel as either an arcade game or a simulator. It's a strange but lovable mix that might work if you love this motor sport.

Oct 6, 2025Formula Legends neither caters to the casual fans enough with simple controls, nor offers a comprehensive history lesson that the hardcore might enjoy. Instead, it tries its best to satisfy both audiences, but its identity crisis (and lack of licenses) makes it difficult to please anyone. It may be an interesting option for those looking to experiment with a semi-realistic racing game, but it’s difficult to see why anyone would choose it over competing titles.

Sep 17, 2025Don't let its disarming visuals fool you – Formula Legends is a pretty serious racing game at its core. The problem is, the racing on offer isn't all that fun. Add in a lack of game modes, and you're better off picking up any of the recent official Formula One games – they're more accessible and have features such as multiplayer, after all.
