The Farming Simulator 25 is nothing less than one of the best games in its genre segment. While the gameplay does not change that much compared to the predecessor, there are many technically improvements. But they are not as huge as you might expect three years after the last part. Because of that the new Farming Simulator ultimately retains its class without really expending it.

Farming Simulator remains an excellent experience. It’s educational, in that you’ll walk away with it with an appreciation for what farmers go through so you can eat. At the same time, once you are familiar with its systems and loops, it becomes laid back and almost meditative for the way you’ll go about what is mechanically a repetitive grind, but aesthetically and thematically a rewarding loop that keeps you both engaged and stress-free. Farming Simulator continues to appear like it should be a mess of paradoxes, yet in action, it just works.

Farming Simulator 25 is a pleasantly surprising experience that builds upon its predecessors to feel as expansive as ever while remaining authentic. While it’s no revolutionary change for the series, Farming Simulator 25 is both rewarding and immersive if you stick with it, even if it won’t hold your hand for most of the journey.

Farming Simulator 25 is a unique experience of managing a farm, with frequent bugs, bad AI and unoptimized graphics, which should not happen to games nowadays. This title certainly has potential, but in this state, it's definitely not for everyone.

Farming Simulator 25 offers interesting improvements, such as new crops, production processes, improved AI, and varied contracts, but remains somewhat user-unfriendly due to complex menus and a lackluster tutorial. The three maps, including an Asian setting, provide a fresh gameplay experience, while construction projects and improved weather conditions add extra depth. The game is certainly recommended for newcomers, but veterans might want to wait a bit before diving into it as Farming Simulator 22 offers a bit more.

Now is the time for aspiring developers to come up with a competitor for Farming Simulator. It seems as if Giants Software has done a straight copy-paste of the previous edition for FS 25, with minimal additions. You wonder how this part justifies the existence of the series. Giants can only hope that the modding community can still put some love into this, because they really have their hands full with this base game.
