Jan 5, 2022Lost all my progress of 1 hour from being instakilled from a bug on my first run. What a waste of time and money.

Feb 3, 2023The art and the setup is interesting. But this is roguelike done wrong. It's poorly balanced, doesn't offer enough variety on each run, meaning it gets boring and repetitive. Worst of all, they used the same formula for all three DLC's. Disappointing DLC pack, considering how great earlier Far Cry DLC has been. But lesson learned, not buying a gold version of Far Cry again.

Nov 25, 2021While there is at least some creativity in the visuals and it's nice to return to a passed golden age of far cry, it can't fix the issues of the base game. It's incredibly boring to play through aside from a few engaging story elements.

Nov 22, 2021After sinking in hours and hours into Far Cry 6, we were pleased to see this DLC take the game in a much more focused direction. Vaas: Insanity offers a really good rogue-lite experience while keeping the excellent production values and gunplay of the main game.

Nov 18, 2021I’m not sure I’ll go back to beat it on all five Mind Level difficulty tiers (twice is enough for now), especially with more DLC packs on the way. But I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Vaas: Insanity, and I hope I feel the same about Far Cry 6‘s next two villain stories. I’d give it a nod even if you don’t always mesh well with roguelites. Because it doesn’t outstay its welcome, the format works well for Far Cry. A lack of true variety hurts the long-term appeal after the first successful run, but that first win is exciting.
