Better stick with F1 21. The 'new' version is a major bummer. Who cares about collectable supercar and a customizable home area?
Lots of long known bugs are still not fixed and constant connection issues with EA servers (even when playing single player) are prety annoying.
    Hands off!!!

I preordered it and I feel it's a waste of money. I even had more fun with all f1 2017-f1 2021 on the end of their life cycle then I've ever had with F1 22.

Just to name a few.
-Pysics. The car is just unrealistic uncontrollable. You are able to do donuts out of stand still in 7th gear. In real life you aren't even able to drive away in 7th gear, let stand making that much revs to do donuts. Also the car is spinning every single time you hit the throttle or you should be in a ultra high unrealistic gear for the speed your going. The standing starts are impossible to do because the AI has an extraterrestrial amount of grip.
    -AI higher top speeds.
-Codemasters/EA being late to fix things
-A lot of people asking for classic cars but getting super cars
-small to no changes to career mode.
-Red Bull colour inaccurate and no mid season car updates.
    -bad force feedback

So I thought maybe I created my current account with a different email address and then changed it to my current email address. The support page says in this case to change the email address of the new account. I changed the email to something else, tried to reset the password of the email which would have created the account, but it says the account doesn't exist.

The problem with this is apparently there is no way to unlink your PSN account if the EA account has been deleted, which is possibly the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. Especially seeing as there is no way now to recover my account.

Won by half a lap in Saudi and lapped on lap 10 in Australia all on the same difficulty. It’s a joke. The cars look almost like a cell shaded game. They’re terrible. As for the character models. They look NOTHING like their real life counterparts.

Clear strategy by devs to introduce pitcoin before the EA takeover so EA can turn round and say ‘we didn’t add it into the game as it was already there’. Basically EA doing what they do best by making what was an amazing game franchise into a rubbish one, totally gutted by how obvious the cash grab is. If you want my advice but GT7 and play that, 100% better in almost every way and they won’t rip you off as their updates are completely free Expand

Can’t play more than one Grand Prix or championship mode, it overwrites everything how hard is it to add more save options. Awful menus it looks like a menu from 10 years ago. Why brag you got a new engineers voice that worked for f1 and new crofty voice overs and make them record the same lines that have been used for years now - “ are you ok? That was a big one.” So many tracks are still not updated. Unrealistic lack of safety cars, still no red flags, ai needs to make more mistakes by themselves and be smarter at overtaking, races are just boring nothing happens in an entire race no safety cars nothing. Still same cutscenes and podium celebrations. Lazy and broken game, who asked for f1 life who asked for supercars??? Should have spent more time on the other stuff that makes f1 great and not this crap no one wanted. Buying furniture and sunglasses, wtf? What has that to do with f1 game. No decent suit, helmet, sponsor or livery editors, no real options to edit your driver and a "new" feature that was always taken for granted in the (really old) games mentioned: now, FINALLY, when you use a color for a part of a livery, you can use it in a different part... because it gets saved... WOW!!!

There are very few real reasons as to why this game is so behind in such an important aspect either incompetence (the developers can't get on pace with 15 year old games), indifference (they don't want to) or convenience. This one seems the most likely, since real customization options and a community where players can share their creations would render the stupid and useless Podium Pass... well, stupid and useless.

Instead of getting the features players have asked for and deserve, what they get is F1 life... a money grabbing scam only idiots would fall for, filled with useless items that add NOTHING to the game... oh, and also bugs.

If a 2022 game is destroyed in any aspect by games from 2007 said game can be considered nothing but a joke... now published by the greddiest most hated company in the industry. I'm glad I didn't buy this POS, and neither should you.

One thing they did however is "improve" is that both male and female forms of a word are now displayed in the menu instead of the generally used neutral male form so that players of all genders feel equally mentioned. Bad-
Bugs and glitches happen a lot. F1 Life feels tacked on and meant only for microtransactions (think FUT and MUT). Limited livery and boring character customization. Only one new track was added to the game and that feels cheap. Supercars do not really expand or add upon the already established formula.

    Thoughts-
F1 22 is a great entry point to the series for newcomers with lots of accessibility features and fun racing, albeit in a much more serious environment that demands precision and practice. For veterans, it comes down to whether you’ll enjoy the new handling and suspension, the redesigned cars, the new presentation features, and so on. F1 Life feels inconsequential as a whole, less like a central showcase of this year’s edition and more like a gimmick.

Overall, this year’s edition feels like a pit stop rather than the next big step for Codemasters’ franchise (which could be next year, according to rumors). It’s another good Formula 1 racing title, one that will tide you over in many places and leave you wanting in others.

Another year, another F1, this time with almost no major changes, microtransactions, dysfunctional VR support and ridiculously bad supercars modes and additions. Yeah, the first EA-published Codemasters game had some of their notoriously bad practices inside of it, and even though it is no surprise, it is a sad day, since last year's edition was one of the best F1 experiences ever made.

Codemasters is taking something that was already great and trying to bring it into line with the modern reality of F1. Technically the title moves to incredible levels of quality, but unfortunately the impression is created that FIA's changes in the real life environment have not been translated so successfully to the corresponding digital one.
