    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A PERFECT 10! I've played it entirely on PC and I'm now doing a second playthrough on PS5. There isn't much left to be desired and the patches for minor bugs are coming in frequently. Any person rating this less than a 10 has either lost mind from skull, or they're shamelessly doing so because an "exclusive overhyped". space "thriller" failed miserably to deliver.… Expand

    The way they worked out the controller to work for something like this is really incredible, and preferable to mouse in keyboard imho. Game of the year by quite a margin in my book. The level of detail the designers put into this game is phenomenal. No, you might not like it if all you play are ARPGs. You will love it if you played any CRPGs in your history, game board or computer type.

    The game is a masterpiece, amazing story, amazing characters, nice and complete strategy focused gameplay, beautiful soundtrack and a ridiculous amount of content.
    Yes, there are some minor frame drops, but they´re very few and nowhere near as drastic as some people say, it doesn´t affect the experience at all. 10/10 -    I knew this game would be review bombed by the useless Xbox fanboys.

    An incredible game, whose only real limitation is your imagination. 30 hours in and I’m totally hooked on this game.

    This game is a masterpiece, a one in a decade masterpiece.

    There are some minor bugs in the PS5 version, as you would expect for a game of this size and magnitude, but larian has been on the ball fixing issues.

    I'm so happy fot hte progress BG3 is. It is an entirely new step in gaming. Above everything. I really cannot recommend it enough. Story-wise, narration-wise, visually, musically... Such a modern Masterpiece.

A complete game, with no micro-transactions, no FOMO mechanics, no battle pass, Bauldr's Gate 3 stands on its own two legs without the need for manipulative corporate addiction tactics to keep a player base. Ignore the toxic negative review bombing, check their profiles they will have given ZeldaThis is one of those rare games that actually deserve a 10/10, we haven't seen one in awhile.     I have already played well over 280 hours on PC and 48 hours on PS5, across 4 different playthroughs (some incomplete) and loved every second of it. I play DnD 5e regularly, and this is the closest thing in the video game world to simulating what it's like. The voice acting and facial expressions are outstanding, the story is captivating. The world design is stunning, the combat is so fun and feels exactly like DnD 5e with a few quality of life changes, I'm so glad they made it turn-based unlike the previous two Bauldr's Gates. You just can't have DnD without turn base combat, it doesn't work! This is by far the best Bauldr's Gate so far and definitely the best CRPG I have ever played. Act 3 could do with a touch up, but knowing Larian, they will go above and beyond to polish any shortcomings, which is why it won't affect my rating.

    Pay no heed to most of the negative reviews, other than the few disappointed by the current endings of act 3 (which still doesn't warrant giving it a negative rating at all). The other negative reviews are just toxic review bombers who are either insane homophobes, bots, DnD hater's or just people who want their pet video game (probably Zelda/Starfield players) to win GOTY. These degenerates are trying their hardest to bring down the score and defame this absolute gem of a game. Report them.

    Well done Larian, you successfully achieved what you set out to do, polish act 3, fix more of the epilogues and you have made one of the best video games in history! Pay attention gaming industry, be like Larian.    … Expand

    I struggle with turn based games, I just don't have the mind that can think three moves ahead. But at the same time, I love these types of game. Because more often than not, there is a good story to be had beyond the general gameplay. Baldur's Gate 3 straight for the start had me hooked, great opening to a game.     I feel a little out of my depth, with some of the DnD aspects having never played. But I think the game does a good job of making it accessible to people like me, and peaks an interest that I didn't know was there. The world building here is fantastic with some quite adult themes, that surprised me a little as more often than not in games these days we shy away from things.

    Holding my own in combat, which surprised me. Found the odd encounter difficult, but went away levelled up a bit and went back to fare better. I think, not to view every encounter as a fight, is probably a good way to go. You can avoid things, with a bit of charm, charisma or just arrogance. And be wary of your environments. There is so much you can use to your advantage or enemies can likewise use that might not be initially apparent.

    Finally, a game that has met and even exceeded my expectations, I was beginning to think it was never possible to experience that again. But hats off to Larian they have delivered with this game. And even if these types of games are not your bag, the RPG elements are worth it in themselves. Fantastic game with loads of replay value.    … Expand

The graphics are beautiful and stunning, the dialogue is top-notch and well acted. The amount of effort that’s gone into preparing this game (year+ early access) to mould the game into what fans want and iron out bugs as meant it’s easily theThis has been a fantastic experience for me. I’ve read one criticism in a user review of them not liking how it’s turn-based. The thing is you have the option to turn that off and revert to real-time with pause; they haven’t removed it, it’s just that users have decided they prefer turn-based. Personally, I love this new style of combat. As for issues with Act 3, we’ll I’m not there yet so can’t comment except to say, I’m certain the developers will work incredibly hard to remedy these and are likely to be PS5 related issues. Hold your breath and I’m sure they’ll be fixed.… Expand

    I remember the first time I played the Mass Effect trilogy, I was so blown away by the story, the character interactions and the way my decisions could affect the story. I haven’t felt that way about a video game in a long time. Baldurs Gate 3 takes everything I love about Mass Effect and enhances it.

    I got this on Mac and PS5 just to support Larian. 10 is too little. This needs to have 11.
    We need more games like Baldur's Gate 3. Yes, i'm a D&D fanboy, and this is true treat for me. I could get a Karlach tattoo on my back.

    Impressive how rhis master piece can be played with controller so comfy and smooth.
    Is a must play, game works really fine the only bug i found is with the sound but disabling 3d sound in ps5 configurarion fix it, Larian is working on in and improving the game even more.

    Amazing Crpg !

    The game is very smooth with the controller, saves are fast Next, full of abilities, which is not confusing at all because it is designed for the console The gameplay can be called more of a strategy than turn base . choosing the dialogue has a meaning. With the dice that are lucky, you feel like you have entered a wonderful fantasy story book that you create yourself.

Everything that I wanted in a rpg is packed in Baldur's Gate 3..story, written with absolute love. Each choices is has a meaning and impacts the story as well. From the start it took me literally 1 hour in character creation to read each class and spells and make my character to how I want to roleplay. Characters are heavily voiced acted and my word npcs have voices and most all have unique things to say. Never thought a game like this would have me stay up late especially work days. I called out 3 days straight because this game has hooked me since early access for PS5. The music is absolutely a Grammy winner here, even the creation customization has epic and smooth music it never re-loops. The imagination runs wild on this game..I blocked the door way with chests when you face the first boss in the prologue so the boss doesn't bring his minions the boss was easy and stole the boss's weapon and take it for my own.

    It does have technical issues yes but they are minor and easily can be patch out. My score is a 10! A Masterpiece that defines to what an rpg should be.    … Expand

Some of them I checked were angry Starfield fans (also a good game that I'm currently playing), some are Nintendo fans, some just seem to be... unbalanced people. This game has given me so many hours of great entertainment, both in singleplayer, and currently in a multiplayer campaign with my younger brother. Good story, wellI'm not sure why some people are review bombing this game? Some of them I checked were angry Starfield fans (also a good game that I'm currently playing), some are Nintendo fans, some just seem to be... unbalanced people. This game has given me so many hours of great entertainment, both in singleplayer, and currently in a multiplayer campaign with my younger brother. Good story, well written characters, insane role playing depth, laughs, horror. It is a masterful creation, done by a studio at it's absolute heights.

    Perfect game. Sooo much freedom, sooo much power. Unlike some other RPG’s that “pretend” to be next gen in gameplay and exploration… BG3 IS THAT. Best game I have played in years maybe not since Persona 5 have I been this excited to log back into my system.
