I know Sniper Elite focuses a lot of stealth and tactical game play, which, being a sniper game is what you'd expect. Zombie Army on the other hand requires little based on stealth and lets you go hell bent on killing as many zombies as you can set your eyes on.

The game play is similar to that of COD Zombies were you have to survive various waves or hordes of zombie onslaught. The zombies come in all wonderful forms to the annoying hard to kill 'Super Elite' zombies which are frustrating hard to kill at times.

There are nice little additions in the forms of explosives such as grenades, trip mines, land mines, dynamite and various explosive tanks placed around the map.

Co-op mode is great for playing against either the campaign mode or horde mode with friends, but will require communication and strategic play as zombies spawn from all areas of the map.

It's nice to see a game that doesn't take itself too seriously, and is essentially exactly what it says on the tin. The music, sound effects, animations and scenery all capture the feel of a grim war torn zombie apocalypse and it's very solid. The music has a retro type 80's feel to it at times and is reminiscent of the low budget exploitation movies around.

Mutilated corpses, blood filled walls, dark atmosphere....
The combat is gruesome, shooting off limbs, X ray headshot... cutting zombies in half... Blood explosion.

    It's a solid fun game in a good package : 3 games in 4 + horde mode + coop

The only negative point is there is practically no story at all.... would have been nice to have few cutscenes and movie story through the campaign to spice things up.
And maybe implement few stealth sections.

The best part about this game is you must land a head shot to kill the zombies. Not none of this garbage where if you land a shot anywhere it kills them, no headshots only!! The slow motion bullet-time headshot replays never ever ever get old, and the action is furiously frantic especially during the later stages when all-out pandemonium breaks loose. This game is best played with a team of 3 others, but rolling solo is enjoyable nonetheless.

The 3 campaigns make it a lengthy game overall, and there is non-stop carnage from start to end. My only complaint is that I wish there were more online game modes a la L4D2, but I can't have my cake and eat it too.

Zombies don't really get faster as you go up the wave on Horde mode but they do get more difficult with different variations of zombies coming at you. There is A LOT of content in this game. The story mode alone have basically 15 levels of 4 player Co-Op fun with excellent 70's exploitation music in the background. 5 additional HORDE mode maps and you've got yourself hours and hours of zombie killing fun with your buddies.

This game is on SALE for PlayStation Plus members (When it was released - March 3rd 2015), so there's even more incentive to pick it up.

I highly recommend it, specially if you enjoy Zombie modes in Call of Duty games. Sniping zombies from far has its own satisfaction. Aiming can get tough cause you are sniping heads, cause many times if you don't, they rise back up.

Also like that there are 8 characters to choose from (4 male / 4 female). No perks or anything like COD in here but as I mentioned earlier, its more of a realistic take on Nazi Zombies.

Great game over all and I REALLY hope Rebellion releases more DLC for it in the future cause I know many people would want that, although this whole game is based on additional DLC for Sniper Elite series (Which is a great game as well, if you love Sniping or not).

Hopefully this review helped you guys decide to get this awesome game or not.

This is best described as: left for dead wannabe.
I just don’t remember left for dead having objectives like: defend the church, or whichever map you are in. And why does it have does lazy objectives, just to extend your game time. It simply have no purpose other than to make your game take longer. And remember that objective, turns it into a horde mode game.
This gets a 5/10 from me, because it had potential, and I like some of the gameplay + it only costed me 6-7 dollars.

But it is hold back, because they got lazy, and just wanted to make a game, for a quick cash-in. It´s so unoriginal even back in 2015, that I’m impressed, some have given it over a 6. The Combat is fine. The zombies come at you constantly, and it is very challenging, but only because of the zombies numbers (and because your weapons suck)

This game could have been something, just too bad they didn’t care. Very repetitive too. I played by myself, but my opinion matter. It´s probably better with friends, but every game is, so I don’t give games points for that, unless it is very original. All games played online is basically the same nowadays. When I look at how good a game is, I look at the singleplayer stuff only. And to say this game has a campaign is dishonest.
Do yourself a favor, and pick up left for dead, or even (never thought I should say this) call of duty, their zombie modes are better.
it´s a very weak 5, and only crawls over the line.

In the 15 missions (8-10h) long "story", you have to kill thousands of zombies, like a fire/sniper/tank zombie with a good arsenal of weapons. There are no deep metaphors about the state of the human race, no morally ambiguous choices to make, just waves and waves of Zombie scum to obliterate in any means you deem fit. Don't get me wrong, there is definitely a place for a deeper exploration of the Zombie theme in gaming, but it's just so refreshing to see something deviate so whole heartedly from that and pull it off without just seeming like a stupid cash in.

While many contemporary games either downplay or misuse music, ZAT nearly always uses music to its full advantage to create a unique atmosphere, that sounds and feels like it was ripped straight out of an 80's horror film in the style of John Carpenter. This game truly separates itself from its contemporaries with its incredible vibe, and horror-themed motif. There are around 12 stages and they are rather long and feel varied enough to not get stale. Despite the level you choose, you'll always be shooting, blowing up, and kicking an incredible amount of zombies. And, as repetitive as that sounds, it really isn't because ZAT offers a healthy amount of strategy while slaying the undead. Well placed trip wires, mounted guns, and explosive canisters can be utilized at the right moments to destroy multiple zombies at one time, and the difficulty can be adjusted for a more arcade based or realistic experience while sniping. Turning up the zombie count is amusing as well, albeit it usually makes the game impossible if turned up too high. The weaponry feels varied enough as far as I'm concerned. You'll most likely find a combination you like, and stick with it. The character selection is ample, but they play exactly the same as far as I can tell. They are only different cosmetically. The graphics aren't anything special, but they get the job done. The game shines, or doesn't actually, when it uses shadows and light contrast to its advantage. Seeing the silhouettes of zombies slowly approaching you hundreds of feet away in a subway that is harshly lit is an amazing sight. Similarly, witnessing shadows of a horde engulf a nearby hallway, builds incredible tension, and works astoundingly well when accompanied with the fore-mentioned soundtrack. Despite the tantalizing atmosphere, the game does have some occasional frame rate drops (more so in multiplayer) that detract from the overall experience. Thankfully, the technical issues aren't persistent enough to spoil an otherwise enjoyable experience. If this game flew under your radar when it was released, and you are a fan of retro-horror, do yourself and buy this unique game. I don't even typically like shooters all that much, especially the Call of Duty franchise, but this is a very different experience. ZAT is certainly an anomaly, and its a shame it won't be played by most gamers, because it's a great game that breathes some fresh air into a stale genre Expand

The game is also a lot better enjoyed when played with other members in your team rather than played solo. This would lead to my biggest gripe. The game runs on the last gen sniper V2 engine and there is absolutely no split screen whatsoever. This was a real disappointment as games like borderlands and earth defence force can do split screen much more easily. But having said that you can still enjoy the game regardless.

This is the zombie themed DLC for Sniper Elite 3 that I was so excited to play and immediately regretted. I'll explain everything don't you worry, so lets grab our trusty rifle and get into this.

The story is about Hitler; that little scamp decides to raise the dead over losing WW2. So as you would expect all the Nazis are coming back to life to munch of the handful of survivors brains. I didn't play much of it besides knowing that the story is a lot like Left 4 Dead with the whole we went here and zombies and now to this location with more zombies.

The games sound is great. I typically don't think zombies are of any significant threat but this ones are so when you hears their blood curdling screams you know you are in the **** The game looks just okay. While the areas are varied enough, the game loses some points with the lack of a color pallet. Gray, black and red colors get old really **** quick.

The gameplay is interesting to say the least. You take the Sniper Elite concept of killing enemies from afar, and you have those enemies walk, or saunter at you. While I appreciate the game isn't just zombies with guns (which is present in the game) it feels still somewhat generic. I think being that the only sure way to kill a zombie is by shooting it in the head you don' t try trick shots. Besides the funny factor why would you ever even try to shoot a zombie in the balls it is useless. With most of the zombies usually getting within a 50 foot radius of you and constantly moving closer it makes being zoomed in all the way pointless. I truly believe as a single player experience this game falls flat on its face. Yet with multiple people this could be a helluva great time with a ton of zombie killing action. This is again much like Left 4 Dead. Alone the game feels repetitive and bland with people it is a great zombie killing cooperative rampage.

The game is only fun with others which makes the rating a much lower one. I would recommend that people at least borrow this game it is worth seeing if this is your cup of tea. Much like my sniping this game missed me by a mile. I give this a 2/5. I leave with a question. Wouldn't the DLC been so much better if the kept the sniper like gameplay and had you fight aliens instead?

Answer: 75 characters is between 10 words and 19 words with spaces included in the character count. If spaces are not included in the character count, then 75 characters is between 12 words and 25 words.

One of the better co-op shooter experiences available on current generation consoles, and the slower pacing and shambling foes give it a character unlike anything else out there.

Zombie Army Trilogy is a decent third person shooter that works most of the time, but it lacks of new ideas or concepts. If you want to have a good time with a friend, you should give it a chance.

Zombie Army Trilogy is familiar and fun for a short spell. The third game is a good deal better than the first two but for the most part, it’s a ho-hum action blast-fest that doesn’t have enough “oomph” behind it.
