    The story was decent and it had a really good cast of both new and returning characters. However, the beginning had WAY too much filler. This isn't including sub stories. Just in the main story missions at the beginning, the was a lot of unnecessary moments. The random encounters were horrible. They didn't show up on the mini map, so you couldn't avoid them. They didn't have unique character models, so you weren't able to spot them until they were already on you. And there was dialogue before every encounter, which was a minor inconvenience at first, but gradually got more and more annoying as the game went on. Also, the ending was completely ruined for me when they tried to pull a similar stunt was used in the ending of the second game. Honestly, not a terrible game, but they definitely dropped the ball in a few places.… Expand

    Yakuza either you like it or not but more difficult as kiwami and 6.

    Yakuza is a freakishly niche. Not everyone can play it. But if played yakuza 0, kiwiami 1 and two, you probably like them and this is just more of the same.

    I love my morning glory orphanage! Playing baseball with Taichi is my favorite thing to do

    Perfect remaster, all the content that was cut from the main game back in 2009 is present in the remaster, great sequel to kiwami 2 and it never loses its yakuza charm.

    Yakuza 3 is amazing and every fan of the series should check it out. Finally available on PS4 after so many years!

    Things I like: Kiryu, the orphanage, Okinawa, RIkiya, fishing, some of the sub stories.
    Things I do not like: Joji, Black Monday, Tamiya, the combat, enemies blocking too much, some of the sub stories.

    A good entry in the franchise. Beware that it is a remaster and not an overall remake like the Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2 games. Gameplay wise the fights feel a bit wooden until you unlock more fighting skills. However it works well at the end and the story, worlds with tons of stuff to do and great characters won me over. Also the slight craziness and humor of the franchise is something IA good entry in the franchise. Beware that it is a remaster and not an overall remake like the Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2 games. Gameplay wise the fights feel a bit wooden until you unlock more fighting skills. However it works well at the end and the story, worlds with tons of stuff to do and great characters won me over. Also the slight craziness and humor of the franchise is something I don't want to miss. The Yakuza games have by far the smallest open world but are filled to the brim with content. The game is set a few months after the events of Yakuza 2. Kazuma Kiryu has settled the last things, left the world of the Yakuza and takes care of an Orphanage in Okinawa together with his adoptive daughter Haruka. However unbeknownst to him events are drawing him back as the estate where the orphanage is standing is part of two huge projects by the government. A resort and a US military base are planed there. Because a lot of money is involved the Yakuza families are also involved into this. This is just the set up and I stop here. The story is engaging and has a lot of twists and reveals. I think it works well but admit it is so far the weakest in the franchise continuity wise. That does not mean it is really weak only weaker in comparison. The characters work well. Be it the old cast with Kiryu, Date, Daigo, Haruka or Majima or the great new characters with the orphans, Saki, Rikiya, Mikio, Kanda, Nakahara, Mine and a lot of others. While others hate the parts in the orphanage I cared and was invested in the orphans. It was a strength for me as I cared enough about them that I would reload to avoid bad decisions. In this regard with the characters it is one of the best in the franchise. Gameplay wise the battles start a bit wooden until later especially if you came from the Kiwami games or Yakuza 0. However as you level up it gets really good. This time you get experience points and for 1000 you get a skill point. You have 4 branches you can level up. Each level up costing more than before. Remark: 1 skill point is not equal to 1 level up. You need a lot for a level up. The strengths of the Yakuza games are the activities. You have tons of side quest and games. Be it a battle coliseum, poker, black jack, shogi, bowling, majong, koi koi, cee lo, darts and more. You can easily sink in more times in these as in the main story. I like the side-quests and craziness involved. There are over 100 and those are a good source of experience. The graphics are nice but cant of cause not compete with modern games. While I have no problem with this for graphic fetishist this is a disappointment. However the art style, voice actors and soundtrack is really good. Overall a good game in the franchise. Might not reach the realm of the best games but is worth playing. I give an 8/10 here.… Expand

    Приобщившись к серии с первой Kiwami я бесповоротно втюрился в данную игру. Точнее серию). Это настолько гениально на сколько возможно.

    After playing the first 3 games on ps4 its hard to play yakuza 3 remastered, the fights was way better in previous games but its fun to play to know the story of kiryu .

    After playing through 0, and Kiwami 1 & 2, I was trepidatious when I started this clunkier, dated remaster. But it holds up better than I could have imagined. While still very much a product of the PS3 era, the gameplay still feels familiar. I was just as engrossed in the story and side adventures as ever, and received even more emotional gut punches. This is quickly becoming my favoriteAfter playing through 0, and Kiwami 1 & 2, I was trepidatious when I started this clunkier, dated remaster. But it holds up better than I could have imagined.     솔직히 이 즈음부터 스토리가 B급 쌈마이가 되어가기 시작한다. 몇몇 빌런 캐릭터들이 매력적이긴 한데.... PS3 시절에야 할만한 게임이었지만 지금은 너무 쟁쟁한 갓겜이 많은 시대가 되었다.

    another low point of the yakuza series it has alot of tedious points in it but has enough to keep the player engaged with a good antagonist

    I just love the Yakuza series, I can recommend all of the games! Also this entry of the series is just great. The story is great, the side quests are amazing. The open world is a lot of fun! It's nice to play in a smaller open world where you know the whole world after a while and it's a lot of fun to do stuff in it. The characters are as always loveable. The plot twists are great!     By far the most dated feeling yakuza should’ve probably been a kiwami 3. Very good story and a nice break from nonstop action when binging this series

    Even with some elements from the original release that could have used a little sanding down, Yakuza 3 Remastered is still an worthwhile entry in the series to for longtime fans to experience again. It may not be my favorite sequel, but it’s still a competent and enjoyable one.

    Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 have both the best and worst the series has to offer, which is saying something because those highs are so high and the lows really aren’t that bad. All three games run exceptionally well, and 4 and 5 look like they belong on PS4 alongside Yakuza 0. 3 is a bit rough around the edges, but it’s still a worthwhile entry in the series cannon.
