    Though this year is definitely an improvement to previous years, there are still a lot of glitches and other issues that need to be addressed before proceeding with 2K23, that being said the community creations are the saving grace of this game.

    On the surface, this game seems pretty good. The gameplay got improved a lot compared to the games before. However, this game is till plagued by many issues. There are a lot of mild annoyances that make the gameplay really wonky. Money in the Bank matches are painful and playing these should be a viable punishment for crimes. There are also a lot of bugs, crashes and other things that canOn the surface, this game seems pretty good. The gameplay got improved a lot compared to the games before. Whilst myrise is a good mode, showcase is at it's absolutely worst this year, myfaction is probably 2ks way of testing the waters with a p2w mode and universe is a broken mess. This is a real shame cause beloved features like advanced entrances were taken out because it supposedly was one of the main reasons for 2k20s performance issues. Overall, this game is still no where near being great. It's a broken mess that seems better than it actually is due it's predecessor being a broken dumpster fire of a "game". I really hope that wwe and 2k get their **** together, cause this game series deserves a lot better!… Expand

    The game is just disappointing. The game uses dedicated servers which in the UK seem to be impossible to get more then 1 bar connection on. Why can't you allow players to host of their own internet so you can play with your friends and have good connection. The graphics are terrible for a modern game made by a company with money. If you have low health a single punch will force you into this making the game impossible to play. There is no privet match option so you can't 1v1 with friends unless you create a public game and kick people who join until your friend joins. Seriously no privet match option? How does a new ish game somehow not improve in any way over the PlayStation 2 games? The mechanics feel overall underwhelming for a AAA game made this last generation. Why the hell does a wrestling game now have a huge learning curve where you need to learn every button combo to compete. If your gonna do this atleast make some sort of ranking system that you work your way through so your not stuck getting thrashed every game. Have a server browse along side a ranking system.… Expand

An third 2k Games can keep publishing dumpster fires like this Straight trash of a game and get away with it unreal . 4th ur hit reg is by far the worst I’ve ever seen in a video game . 5th Ur online Mode is so bad it’s laughable and yet you keep updating forWell let’s see here . Like how is it that older gameplay controls are better then this current POS . 8th The Broken Stun meter and The Garbage Pin system that plagues this game is such a piss poor lazy design that deserves to be scraped and rebuild on a new engine. Cause clearly it’s not working in this game . An don’t get me started on the many bugs and warping through stairs and ladders etc when you go to reverse a move . Like WTF is this madden lol . 9th Showcase mode feels underwhelming and lackluster. 10th my GM is horrible It’s very buggy and it’s very poorly designed. So I’m closing if 2K does not fix a lot of issues that others have mentioned. Then I’d say don’t buy 2k23 if you don’t want to waste your money on a WWE 2k22 2.0 game . 2k has turn this franchise into the madden of WWE games . It’s a shame when the direction this game is going is down a very dark path of myfaction and mirco transactions . I get it they have to make money but at what cost ? The community? the fans ? . Let’s all show 2k that we as gamers will not stand for this crap . Don’t buy the next game and watch how quick things change .… Expand

    2K is the worst company ever!!! This game you can't play because of servers going down. So we have to wait over a month for more people after 2 years. Each game has had people like Bruno Sammartino, Ricky Steamboat, Bam Bam Bigelow, Greg Valentine, Lex Luger and more. Than we are missing others like Paige, The Bellas, Zelina Vega, Kurt Angle, Lita, Brutus Beefcake, Sycho Sid, Dusty Rhodes,2K is the worst company ever!!! This game you can't play because of servers going down. So we have to wait over a month for more people after 2 years. Each game has had people like Bruno Sammartino, Ricky Steamboat, Bam Bam Bigelow, Greg Valentine, Lex Luger and more. This was supposed to be the biggest roster and it isn't and definitely doesn't hit different at all. How can you have a rey mysterio showcase and not have the best matches with legends in it.     I swore never to buy nba 2k last year, and now I’m doing the same for wwe 2k. I got this game since launch and have been patient while they try fix problem after problem with patch after patch. Every patch creates a new issue, and thats what ultimately did me in. I tried reinstalling the game as 2k suggested to fix an issue, and it gave me a bigger issue after wasting my time reinstallingI swore never to buy nba 2k last year, and now I’m doing the same for wwe 2k.     The new gameplay design and engines have brought new life to the WWE 2k series. Extra game modes are enjoyable but seem half baked such as the returning GM Mode. However the Rey Mysterio showcase is expertly curated, as Mysterio narrates as you fight and the gampeplay switches from game to real life footage seamlessly.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well it's a buggy mess. Who could have seen that coming? Attempts to gussy it up with a coat of paint can't hide all the many, many problems. The new combat system is a great example. It looks good in trailers and a combo system sounds great but when you get your hands on it you'll find that the grapple system is as hard to get a handle on as any other overly complicated system. The new Gm mode sounds good as well. Shame it crashes after a certain amount of weeks each time and won't let you continue. Honestly you might think a 1 is a bit low but really it's borderline unplayable and it costs full retail… Expand

    Unplayable. Demo Mode Glitch has ruined this game, and 2K thinks its only there if you try playing the game before its fully downloaded and updated which is not true in my case. I can't believe this company gets away with making and selling games so broken they are unplayable and inaccessible

    After the 2k20 disaster, I didn't think I would come back to 2k, But With the "promise" of a better game, and the NWO. I decided to give it a shot. And Its alot different from pervious 2k games. And IMO alot better! Still has alot to work on though. As I would give this a bottom of the 8.

    BEST WWE2K GAME IN A VERY LONG TIME.
    It has smackdown vibes from PS1 as well as a bit of here comes the pain.
    It's less simulation garbage and more arcadey fun.
    It's smooth, it plays well.
    It powerbombs all the previous ones I absolutely recommend you that you buy it.
    It's just.... AWESOME!!!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Progress in development of WWE 2k Games is absolutely minimal. The only real Changes are the Controls, like in every WWE 2k Game, they change the Controly every Year because they can say somethingy new. But the Controls of this Year are the biggest Problems, you are not able to Counter certain Moves, which means Online Matches are complete cancer. They just spam the same few Moves until you are stuned and you cant do anything about that. Its an instant Loss if this happens, which we know some cool Buddys who think their awesome gonna abuse those Technics.

    Only positive Thing at the End is, that the game has less Bugs. It has some but not as many as 2k20 had.    … Expand

    WWE 2K22 is a very strong improvement to the disappointing 2K20. It's more polished, fluid and gameplay has been better. The new modes are good also. It's a nice comeback to the series and hopefully they will build on 2K22.

    I really enjoy the New single wrestler universe mode, and I like the new controls, if we can continue building on this new engine, we could have the perfect wrestling game

    same game new slogan not a fan of the new camera angle it was nothing wrong with what it was before and speaking of unnecessary changes to the controls are just as awful and learning crave like 2k20. the roster is 2 years outdated including the arenas they patched in NXT 2.0 2 weeks after the game launched.

    the combo move list which is somehow getting praise, is NOT NEW. where's the double standard? this very feature is in acclaim's wwf warzone, wwf attitude, ecw hardcore revolution & ecw anarchy rulz. So, its ok for 2k games to publish a game like this but acclaim games that started & created this very same feature in the 90's & 2000 are labeled bad? the amount of depth like grunts, voice over taunts, match types features is what exactly what 2k is doing except a sprinkle of voice over taunts which started in wwe 2k15 with dlc paige when she yells "this is my house" the voice over taunt is also in this game with roman when he does his cartoony finisher minus the depth in match features. u can't still stack tables, attack grounded opponents with a weapon: (that was later fix somewhat thru patch updates) still missing features that's been wwf/wwe series for over 2 decades are incredibly absent such as: lumberjack match, gauntlet match, elimination style matches, grudge matches, team rumble, create a taunt, stamina meter, only 3 matches in gm mode, that has more features, depth, and match type when THQ inc. & acclaim did it over a decade ago. rey showcase is barebones abunch of hand pick matches from his career and doesn't go over his entire career that was leading up to now it also skips over his early career in ecw entirely. we're still stuck on ps2 hair textures and the character models still isn't accurate to the wrestlers likenesses and still looks like they was dump and made out of plastic. the writing and story mode is still cringe two years outdated attires. game so bad EA's WCW games has better presentation, in game features and menu game modes like quest for the best, momentum meter, quest ranking menu, crowd chants, boo's & cheers has been implemented in ea's wcw games but also acclaim's wwf & ecw in 1998-2000.
    the hit detection is still off and it crashes when u download from community creations and 90% of its roster is no longer with this company (only a few just recently returned) but made it to this game, somehow. the dlc's are trash and its just feels like no creativity went into this game all they've been doing is slapped a coat of paint and called it a day the edition packs are still overpriced like NWO 4 - Life edition $119.99 & 99.99 for Deluxe Edition that costed more than the standard game with zero replay revalue gm mode is extremely short and not worth coming back to the roster is a year outdated game is still glitchy buggy and unpolished gameplay.
    take two & 2k literally put in ea's my ultimate team mode in this game called "my faction" this game is overrated cash grab it's obvious that 2k and take two should've never gotten the license after thq inc. they had 2 in a half years to work on this game only to get even more removed features and 2k22 is just an overpriced 2k20 dlc expansion. same everything from all of 2k series minus 2k14 bcuz that was thq inc's game that originally called wwe 14 but was cancelled due to thq inc bankruptcy and defunct shortly after in 2013. so i'm not going to give 2k credit bcuz they just slap their name on it just like wwe 13. (thq inc's final wwe game). the sad part is modern "gamers" are approaching video games like filmmakers instead of gamers bcuz they've too worried about graphics to even care about anything else but at time want current published to duplicate the past but not understanding why those games work in the first place, this current fan based under 2k are just abunch of loyal sheeps and apologists    … Expand

    The best WWE game ever! The gameplay is extremely addictive and MyGM, MyRise and the 2K showcase were the best parts of the game. Kind of a let down because of MyFaction and they could if replaced with something good. Besides, it wasn’t even a good mode but come on who cares because the game is awesome and of course it’s a game and does have glitches. I would’ve gave this game a 10 butThe best WWE game ever!     After the last few installments, WWE 2K22 succeeds in bringing the zest back into this long-running franchise. Each match is intense and exciting, and I couldn’t stop myself from exploring different play styles and re-enacting some of my favorite encounters. Even if the whole WWE circus only exists to present a cheap power fantasy, games like this one triumph in highlighting the best side of the affair.

    WWE 2K22 was worth the wait. Form a visual standpoint, the franchise has taken an enormous leap, it looks nothing like it did before. The realism is really there, and it manages to give you the feeling that it is an actual WWE show. Even if the new game modes still need some work, the franchise is moving in the right direction. Also, it does not matter whether you are a WWE fan or not; this game will give you tons of hours with a lot of fun.
