For years each and every WWE fan was hoping for a game which would allow them to replicate the tension , drama and moments that we see during the real life matches on TV. Year after year Thq - followed by 2K went on frustrating the fans in one way or another by gifting us with Average or Above Average titles. The hope had been lost, The long time followers including myself was thinking "what is wrong? why isnt there a WWE game which could be as good as 'SMACKDOWN Here Comes The Pain' which was released around 10 years ago. It is during that time that 2K first announced the 2K16 title , and one of the first announcements was it had the largest roster in any game in the history of WWE. Well eventhough that caught my attention , afterwards i began to think that it would complete the makeover from 2k15 to 2k16 , just the 120+ would be the main feature , but 2K surprisingly went on announcing features after features and finally i had a feeling that this could be the title that takes a WWE game back into the elite category. After months and months of waiting yesterday i finally got my hands on it.
In the very first match i played as Sting against the WHC Seth Rollins , as soon as the entrances began i realized it was looking much better than the previous title, There was a noticable difference from the graphics i saw in the pre build versions , The arena lighting effects were a delight to watch in the previous title and in 2K16 it has much more depth and detail. The hair , the textures, the details along with the reddish color that appears in the chest after several chops are a delight to the fans. I'd infact give 4/5 for graphics. Coming onto the animations - There are tons of new animations which helps the overall flow of the matches and every move feels much smoother rather than robotic and unrealistic. Well done 2K that in itself is a big big step forward . Commentary - well when everything else was overhauled there is one thing which hasnt undergone any sort of changes apart from the addition of JBL , that is the annoying Commentary , 2K really needs to look into it considering the future titles because the only thing that stands against the title getting appreciation in every department is the commentary , a regular WWE fan maybe able to live with it but never others. The entrances has no breaks between them which is a blessing , The music becomes louder than before , in the last title the commentary sound used to have more sound and it was irritating .Then coming onto the Big one - The Gameplay - first of all thanks 2k sports . This is the WWE game ive been waiting for , This is THE GAME which allows me to feel all the emotions of a proper WWE match . If the animations have helped to add smoothness and flow to the matches then the introduction of the new reversal system makes each and every player play with a particular plan in mind , a plan if executed wrongly can easily expose you for an onslaught from the opponent. You just simply cannot go on and on and beat up your opponents and reverse everything they throw at you, thanks to the reversal as well as the new stamina system. In My first match i could breath fresh air after a long time , Sting and Rollins going at each other creating a tension, a tension that was not seen on previous titles , a feeling that i could easily throw away this match with the slightest of mistakes that i make and i almost did , after the exchanges both rollins and sting earned a finisher waiting for the right time to execute them , then came my moment - rollins out of reversals in hit with with a scorpion death drop thinking it was done and dusted - but he kicks out for my disbelief , then he gets up - throws some attack at me some of which i succesfully evaded thanks to the stored reversals , then just like him i ran out of reversals and he had a finisher , in the nail bighting moments that followed i tried as much as i can to avoid his attacks (and regain atleast 1 reversal) by trying to throw some punches which was ineffective due to my lesser stamina and at last rollins had the upper hand and he went to execute the pedegree and for gods sake i had just 1 single reversal using which i countered to score another Scorpion Death Drop to pick my first ever win on my first ever match on WWE2K16 , Im pretty sure that WWE followers can read all the emotions from the above given lines. The new pin system is effective and tricky but i find it more comfortable to use than the previous titles (The superstars with Dirty pins can easily get on your nerves because of how difficult it becomes to kickout) , The new submission system requires time to master. After playing a few matches i understood has there was different strategies for the A.I in different matches especially notable in the Triple Threat or Fatal 4 way and 6 man matches because of the natural aspect that can be felt because of the improved A.I. I have so far not experienced a single frustrating moment while trying to do something (This was a big problem in the previous titles). Coming onto the showcase mode Austin 3:16 says "RAISE SOME HELL" - The best walk through the illustrious career of the rattle snake Stone Cold Steve Austin, Il speak more on the Showcase and my career mode , creations etc after sitting down playing it for some more time. So overall yes my friends, This is the WWE game we all have been waiting for. If you can get this game somehow - get it as soon as you can , because it will bring a smile on your face and i can guarantee you that.
MY RATING - 8.75 out of 10 ! There are areas of improvements such as the crowd - the commentary etc, But overall i would place this game right up with Smack down Here comes the Pain especially because of the SOLID gameplay that it offers, This is a title that is going to be remembered for a long long time. THATS THE BOTTOM LINE BECAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO ! PS :- i really cant wait to play a multiplayer match of this game with some of my friends ! Thanks WWE , Thanks 2K ! ‪#‎RAISESOMEHELL‬

I retained the tag team gold with a well placed distraction. Just like on tv. And there are quite a few surprises for managers. I highly recommend getting the season pass or at the very least invest in the unlock everything feature. With such a huge roster and a wealth of options, this year's game should not be missed. It is no fire pro, but those games are different animals. And for anyone wishing for Aki controls, just stop. Those controls are old, they haven't aged well, and the are not missed. This game has great graphics, the gear looks amazing, the crowd sounds amazing, and the game feels real. Stone Cold being in the spotlight this year was a highlight for me, since he was my favorite wrestler growing up. 2K16 doesn't have as many match types as 2K14, but definitely an improvement from last years. 120+ wrestlers in a game is insane, I remember only being able to choose from 10. I love that they included more NXT guys in the game this year, especially Finn Balor and Samoa Joe. Through the years the wrestling games have been feeling all the same, like the madden games, but how much more can you really do with them? Expand

When WWE 2K14 came out I was completely stoked. Something new and different from the THQ garbage that we were used to.

Sadly it appears that 2K thinks that it's more important to take things out of the game e.g being able to edit match rules like 2K14; create a finisher. Now on 2K16 the only editing I can do for a match is if I want to be able to turn the entrances on or off. Gee,

Another thing is that the games are less fun. Remember when you could have a stable entrance where the three of you came crashing down on a shopping trolley? How funny was that?! Or where you could go round the backstage such as the boiler room/parking lot. Why wouldn't this be ever considered? It's fun! There's only so many times that I can watch Tyler Breeze kick out of my finisher time and time again.

Of course people like the "realistic" gameplay but do the majority of people that might play this game? I have a number of friends who scoffed when they saw me on this and said "it's not being good since enter old WWE game here. Surely being able to lure all audiences is more important than just the die-hard fans that buy the game year in year out.

It seems to me like 2K are more bothered about having something to advertise like the Stone Cold showcase mode rather than the actual game-play. Showcase mode is very boring and very linear in my opinion. It tells you what to do and if you don't do it you get bent over.

Hopefully at least someone manages to read this even though it is a bit long winded. But I could've written a lot more!

tl;dr 2K is taking fun things out rather than adding them in and creating a boring game.

Unfortunately, while the create an arena mode is improved, you can't use them online anymore. Same goes with created entrances, there's no options to enable entrances or to choose a custom arena, which are probably the biggest 2 disappointments for me. There's just not much of a point in creating them if you can't show them off to others. There's also no create a finisher mode, and while there are a lot of match types, there are no 2 vs 2 ladder or TLC matches.

The game also has some bugs, which is actually kind of typical for WWE games, but it's not as buggy as previous games are which is a plus. Other than those problems, the game is great, animation is fantastic and the game is fun. Submission and pin system is different, but easy to get use to. Online has been pretty sketchy with the servers, which may just be because it was released recently, but me and a friend managed to get in a match or 2 and it went smoothly.

It's definitely a big step over 2K15, but there's still plenty of improvements that can be made. Hopefully they will either patch online, or improve it in future games.

The worst submission system in any WWE game to date.
The new grappling system is awful too.
    Where is create a finisher?
Where are the story lines for myCareer?
    The rivalry system is pointless.
The stable system is useless as well. You can't customize pretty much anything.
Showcase mode is starting to rely on the attitude era.
The AI is almost as bad as Day of Reckoning 2. Your team doesn't do anything to help you win matches.
Refs DQ for ridiulous reasons like being knocked down in the ring too long.
The Authority orders in myCareer give you objectives that aren't possible.
You fail the authority orders if someone attacks you before your match.
Universe mode doesn't do much. It should include storylines.
The controls are off. R1/RB do way too many functions during matches for them to all work correctly.
The patch to fix the worst bugs of the game missed most of them!

2k has butchered the series. They're turning it into a Madden style. (We don't care if it's broken cause we'll probably fix it next year.) Very disgusted and disappointed. This very well may be the last wwe/2k game i buy until they get their act together and stop trying to rush everything.

WWE 2K16 is the real deal. Let's get that out of the bag straight away. It plays better, looks better and flows better than any wrestling game I've ever played. Below I'm going to list some topics off the top of my head and just give my thoughts on how the game pulled them off.

Music: In last year's WWE 2K15, I played for about 3 hours before turning off the music. It was really bad. But this year's soundtrack is killer from beginning to end.

Load times: load times see a dramatic improvement this year. With a normal one on one match loading in about 25 seconds during last year's game. This year you can only expect to wait anywhere from 10 to 12 seconds before theme songs start. And about entrances. I cannot tell you how big of a difference it makes that there are no loading screens between entrances. For the first time in a very long time we are treated to a true TV feel.

Commentary: oh my god did they finally take commentaries in a big step in the right direction. The three man commentary team makes a huge difference when calling matches. I have not once heard "he's putting his educated feet to good use!" The commentary team does an amazing job calling maneuvers for what they are named instead of vaguely saying things like what a maneuver. This is how commentary should be and I can't wait to see how they improve it in the future. But I do gotta say it is weird hearing JBL call a match that JBL is in..

Gameplay: a lot of people really hated the physics and gameplay in WWE 2k15 and with good reason. It was incredibly unpolished and wonky. Rest assured just about every single one of those problems is fixed now. The game moves on a level of fluidity but I have never seen in a wrestling game. And like the commentary and other successful aspects of this game it all lies in the massive amount of small details that were paid attention to. For instance, if you are running at an opponent in the ring who is standing near the ropes and you miss a clothesline you will clothesline over their shoulder and your chest will bounce off the ropes and you'll go flying down to the ground. The fact that they do this animation is only half of the treat as the other half lies in the fact that it is so incredibly fluid that you never see a change in animation from the clothesline to the botched clothesline. This also goes for reversals. Everything is so fluid it moves much more like the people on TV do.

The reversal system: I know many of you have concerns about this year's new reversal system. Many voiced concerns about having limited reversal possibly ruining the match. That's not an issue. First you should know that if you really really don't like this feature you can turn it off. But I would highly recommend leaving it on and it adds a new elements of balance to the game play. I never felt like I didn't have enough reversals but I always felt like if I was abusing them that it would come back and bite me. You do have limited reversals but they regenerate fairly quickly so I was very rarely in a situation where I wanted to reverse but could not.

Create a wrestler: again here, much much much improved over last year. The developers have managed to include a lot of streamlining to make creating a character fast but still unique. Anyone who creates wrestlers knows how long it can take to get them looking just right. Not including their moveset and entrance and all that. But I created a great looking wrestler in about 40 minutes. I'm sure you could take much longer or much less time. But that's about how long it took to create my very detailed guy.

New pin and submission system: the new pin and submission systems work fine. Submissions are now and much more tactical game instead of just button mashing which is very welcome. It only took me a few subs to get the hang of it and it's a really fun mini game.

The roster is as glorious as we all thought it would be. It is a very flushed out tribute to wrestling history. Most of the character models look ridiculously good and a few look a little. For instance American Badass Undertaker doesn't look quite right, like he ate some bad fish. And JBL looks like he just smelt a fast when he steps out of his limo. And Jerry the King Lawler looks downright weird. But there are major improvements in some models also. Such as Diamond Dallas Page. Last year he looks horrible but this year he looks like a spot on rendition of the man himself.

As far as match types go. I was very happy to see a substantial more amount of match types this year.

While not perfecting the wrestling genre. WWE 2K16 immensely improves on their broken game from last year. And the result is the best wrestling game since WWE 13. 2K delivered on about every promise and I'm crazy excited to play this game for the next year. After much thought I give this year's game an 8.5/10.

I know there is division between people who like the new system and people who wish they would bring back the old THQ control model, and I just wish I was given an option on the game. All of the moves I may want to try or try to attempt I found to be heavily buried under the constant mini-games, asinine submission system, seemingly limited move-set, and un-natural button mapping. Controlling my wrestler, be it Sting or HHH or Stone Cold seems unnecessarily difficult and unnatural from what I would expect in a wrestling/fighting game.

This inaccessibility really left me feeling bad however, because otherwise the developer does seem to have created an immersive and detailed past and present WWE universe.

Everything else is adequate. DEFINTELY a step up from 2k15, which was a video game abortion.

Where this game falls flat on it's ass and ****s it's pants though.. is the controls. O...M...F..G THE CONTROLS ARE HORRIBLE.

The 5 people who played WWF RAW way back in the day will IMMEDIATELY recognize the Rock Paper Scissors QTE mechanic.. which is as TEDIOUS as it is POINTLESS and BORING. All this ridiculous nonsense and the move does next to no damage. No damage.. it's just a mind numbing chore. Like banging your fat ex-girlfriend, it gets the job done, but you just feel dirty afterwards.

Online play... LOL. Just LOL. Moving right along..

Are you a fan of Quick Time Events? You ARE?! Well then WWE2k16 is for YOU! It's so overflowing with STUPID **** quicktime events your anus will IMPLODE!!!! Next year, just to open a menu and start a match, they are adding a QTE for it!~ SUPER EXCITEMENT!

They added a cool campaign following the career of Stone Cold Steve Austin.. some of his coolest matches! ... and you can WATCH them right on your screen!!! Play them? Pfffft. No. You sit and WATCH all the cool stuff.. then "Do Damage to the Rock!" ... so you can watch MORE stuff... not play it... WATCH it. Like a **** movie. Cause we spent $60 on a video game to watch crappy movies and play QTE's! 2k really listens to it's fans!

And finally, the controls... oh sweet lord in heaven the controls. If clunky, NES era 3rd party twice removed title controls are your ultimate fantasy.. then wwe2k16 is your wet dream! Targeting a wrestler in a brawl is alot like... no.. ya know what.. **** your fat ex girlfriend is better. ALOT better.. then dealing with this bull****.

People rating this a 10 are fooling themselves, but it's no 0 or 1 either. It's a solid 5, and nothing more.

Maybe 2k17 wont suck as hard.

Some of the "issues" I have is 1 with the new roster. Yes it's the biggest roster ever and that in itself is impressive but look at the roster.. Most of them were just copy and pasted from last years DLC. Do they honestly expect anyone to play with general adnan or colonel mustapha?? Not to mention you've got x pac and bille gunn but no road dogg. The Hart Foundation with no Owen (Who played a big part in stone cold's career.)
I do love that there are tons of NXT superstars but with the exception of Emma none of the NXT women. Roster wise the game still needs some improvements but, a lot of the favorites are there.

The soundtrack is better than last year but still only 10 songs? Even "White Wedding" and "Tricky" are gonna get old after you hear them about 100 times.

Most of the creation suite features are back and that is a huge plus from last year.

And with promises of a hall of fame sk showcase DLC I foresee myself getting a ton of hours out of this game.

All in all, It is one of the best titles in recent memory but there is still room for improvement.

The match modes are segregated in such a way that you need to be lucky to actually get in a match in the mode you selected - you cannot switch modes on the fly without backing out and starting a new lobby, even if you're partied up with a friend.

In the first four hours of playing, I experienced the following:
    - Game completely desynced playing 1v1 with a friend that was NAT type Open and less than 2 miles away. It's like we were doing netplay on a shoddy emulator for a retro game. We didn't even know until halfway through the match when he said how bad he was beating me, but both of us were on entirely different sides of the ring seeing totally different action.
    - In a tornado elimination match, I pinned a player, then my character got stuck on him. I couldn't release the pin and he couldn't kick out - the ref wouldn't count. This eventually led to both opponents leaving and being replaced by AI. Teammate knocked down ref, jumped off turnbuckle, tried moving our player models, the ref still wouldn't count. Had to exit match.
    - During AI warmup online, game shows the two wrestler names reversed on every match I had tonight.
    - Even with manual targeting enabled in options, manual targeting is atrocious and takes several attempts whilst standing still to take effect (most times it still won't properly target and seems totally random)
    - It's common to accidentally hit your teammate with strikes and grapples during tornado tag because of the atrocious targeting. At one point, I accidentally pinned my partner and the ref got down to count.

This game makes absolutely no sense. I wish I had this on Steam so I could get my money back. I wish I didn't buy the digital copy so I could trade it in. Do not buy this game. It's all presentation and unpolished, lackluster gameplay.

Honestly what a stupid idea.

The positives are acceptable graphics, sound is fine and the roster is great despite pay walls preventing you to play as all characters.

The main improvement though is in the gameplay, visual presentation, the diverse roster, the 2K Showcase, the whole creation suite and my career, however that is still painfully repetitive. The game says that you can start your own rivalries, but before I can even try and start one the game is ramming run ins down my throat.

The fighting mechanics aren't necessarily the most fluid at times but they are definitely an improvement over past iterations. The addition of OMG! moments, despite them not really being all too awe-inspiring, is good. Though those moments are fairly few, as the only new additions are Roman's apron dropkick, RVD's barricade legdrop, superplex or DDT to the outside, and a spear through the barricade. Driving someone through the announcers' table and throwing someone from the top of the cell, things we've always been able to do regularly in previous iterations, were added to the OMG moments. There's no way to do, say, an F-5 on the side in the same way as chokeslamming them off the side now. It's just a push, chokeslam, the Last Ride (which could easily be done on your own in previous games), and Sweet Chin Music (superkick).

They removed the ability to modify match rules and, instead, added "No Holds Barred" and "Falls Count Anywhere" matches. This is likely so they can claim they've got two extra more types when it would just have been easier to have made it an option to turn DQ's off and add a "falls count anywhere" option. On top of that, they removed a few match types (one of which was the removal of the Inferno match) while completely botching the Elimination Chamber match. How did they botch that match? Well, you can walk through the turnbuckles when you're on the steel grate. If you are within a couple feet of the chain wall, you will get sucked in and will likely get stuck inside it. Sometimes you'll get pushed outside and will be unable to get back in, requiring you to restart the match. This happens constantly to the computer controlled wrestlers. This makes the elimination chamber match borderline broken and unplayable.

The WWE Universe mode is still just a watered-down GM Mode, despite it being an improvement the previous iteration's WWE Universe. The game ultimately has far more control than you do and will even outright delete your rivalries the moment you make them because it wants you to do this rivalry instead. They added injuries, which makes it more interesting, but the fact that they're only triggered by little more than beating the hell out of them for half an hour after you've gotten them to the point of being able to score a pinfall with minimal effort makes it so that you have to be actively trying to injure them. I would say you'd have to pretend this wrestler injured the person and remove them from the show for a period of time but that goes right back to the game having more control over what happens than you do. The fact that "severe" injuries only takes a superstar out of action for... one week. Yep, that torn ACL is fixed in a week or two.

Then there's the graphics, which are good but definitely still far below standard. What really kills it is that many of the stars don't look anything like their real-life counterpart. Take Paige, for example. Her in-game model looks nothing like her beyond her attire and she looks like a twig, even in comparison to the real Paige. This isn't just one instance as all the Divas and most of the superstars suffer from similar instances of looking barely similar to their real-life counterparts.

Yukes need to step it up because around five games in a row haven't broken past the "barely above average" rating. Removing features and re-implementing them doesn't do anything and they need to realize this. Changing the gameplay mechanics every iteration doesn't do anything. They may think this was okay under THQ, but that's only because their customers expected so little after a while because of these same reasons. But now that they've been under 2K for going on three years, they need to get their **** together and soon. I feel a 6/10 is generous. WWE 2K16 merely looks in the right direction but it takes no steps towards the right direction.

Myself being A tremendous Fan of Stone Cold found this feature to be the best in the entire Game.I love the videos through each chapter-telling the story of Stone Cold's career to those unfamiliar to Him.The bonus matches are very cool as it unlocks characters and outfits people actually want. They really seem to to have A very great grasp on His overall career and besides A few issues like no blood during 'Blood Of A Stone' match against Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 13 and cheap look alike of Mike Tyson (especially as the Announcer barely reference Him during the mach) during Stone Cold's match against Shawn Micheals in Wrestlemania 18 (probably due to licensing issues). These are forgivable I suppose and in all honesty will never be noticed to casual WWE Fans or really anyone except for hardcore Wrestling Fans like myself.Besides these minor blemishes this 2K Showcase of Stone Cold Steve Austin is one of the best in the entire series.

The creation section are as I said earlier well done. You can add A lot of customization to making custom Belts,Arenas and Wrestlers. However, the face creation is too complicated as the front face option is nearly unusable as you have no visual reference whatsoever since you cannot see the front part of the face and essentially have to play A guessing game with it.Often, you will be extremely disappointed with character you create based off of other Wrestlers since they will hardly never look close to to anything resembling the real life person.

One of my biggest problems with this Game is that you can simply go online and download better user created characters, arenas, belts and labels from people that understands creating all these aspects better than myself. To Me,this takes away any enjoyment of creating real life Wrestlers such as Hulk Hogan or X-Pac since I know my version is extremely inferior and A better version is simply A download away. Also,I could not download anything since there were one after another of downloading errors.I assume that these Servers were not dedicated servers or perhaps it was on my end-who really knows.

My other problem to this Game is that there are ALOT of characters! Is this A bad thing-no.However,like my experience goes I decided to make A Brian Pillman created Wrestler so I could make the Hollywood Blondes Tag Team with 'Stunning' Steve Austin. What happened is that I played more of the Showcase mode which unlocked A better Brian Pillman than the one I made which meant I had A terrible created Brian hanging around on my hard drive.

As far as the rest of the game,it's the standard experience of any WWE 2K game.Somewhat updated (A year behind) modern WWE Wrestlers. You can fight with them in anyway you so choose like one on one or tag team and so on.Just A warning-you will probably lose quite often since the edition of the idiotic submission mechanic system.I absolute HATE this mechanic with A burning passion.I had to look up A Tutorial on Youtube to explain it to Me after losing ten consecutive matches in A row and yes the computer opponents will try to submit you almost every time even if they are not known for using submissions or not!

My other favorite aspects are that they brought back Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler for commentating. This really adds to the Game especially the more retro aspects in the Stone Cold 2K Showcase.I love the additions of these obscure 90's pay per views for use in the Game are A breath of fresh air and brings back pleasant memories for those of us that experienced them before in the past.

There are some glaring issues such as glitches, graphical problems and especially some terrible voice overs like Enzo Amore's intro as you can obviously tell that it was recorded poorly and lacks Enzo'z impressive energy when He introduces Big Cas and Himself. The music is not the best-it's six tracks, three being not so great contemporary hip hop tracks. You will quickly like myself turn off these sickening repeating tracks off the Menus as in this case silence is golden.

Overall, like I said before this version is truly A vast improvement over 2K15.However,there are some glaring issues that I hope are addressed in the next editions.

Gameplay- The new reversal system helps shift the control throughout the match and stop the annoying constant reversals of before. Having a set amount of reversals creates an interesting dynamic between wrestlers because you need to decide whether to save them for specific moments or use them immediately. One of the problems I have is the slower paced compared to the other games. Moves feel like they take a lot of time to execute whether its a punch or grapple. The more prominent stamina system alleviates this issue for me since each move takes a lot of stamina when the match has gone on for a while. This makes each suplex feel important and you don't fire of 10 of 'em in a matter if seconds.

Graphics- Everything looks great concerning the wrestlers but the crowds are still a mess. It's not that they are low poly people but that they just don't act like a normal crowd. They randomly wave and stand for no reason. If they really fix this issue and make the crowd feel more realistic it would help increase the immersion. Another element of the presentation that needs a little love is the commentary. If they improved these two aspects of the presentation it would be practically flawless.

The 2K showcase was great even though some matches didn't feel important but everything was handled well. The create a superstar mode seemed great and so did the other modes.

The game plays great and has plenty of modes to keep people busy. If they focus on some of the presentation aspects they could have an amazing experience. That being said, what is here is still great and worth a look for any fan of wrestling.

This is a great improvement over 2k16! A lot more immersive. MyCareer is still iffy not the best. The roster makes the game a blast to play. Underrated!

A huge return to form on a series that previously was seeming to strain under the weight of losing key stars to old age but proving that it still has life in it ( shame there was no 4 horsewomen

played this game for a few hours (ps4) found the game play very clunky and the submission system very awful, graphics are pretty bad for a new generation game, universe mode is also the worst i've seen in any game so far. only good thing about this game is the big roster otherwise it's just as bad as wwe2k15

However it can get very frustrating during large matches as you target the wrong people and the A.I secretly pins another injured A.I on a default move that can ruin a epic match until they fix the targeting and improve the A.I in big matches ill be sticking with one on one fights most of the time. Plus the online is **** compared with wwe 2k14 which really needs to come back. Expand

Great game and hopefully they get better and better. Custom character storyline gets repetitive and the servers are awful. The game itself is very good.

Initially playing 2K16 was a blast with friends. We pitted all versions of Sting against the Miz, DDP, and the Undertaker. A great 6 man elimination match. Then we asked if we could play a four-way elimination match. We could not find it.
During one match, Triple-H's water bottle during his entrance became suspended in mid-air for the majority of the Royal Rumble. So the bottle won that

The fun factor is there for this game, but there are glaring holes.
When two wrestlers try to grapple at the same opponent, the entire process is negated and all parties wince. That works, I guess.

The intro music can be manipulated, this is a plus as many of the songs are annoying.
Hulk Hogan is missing, but a murderer, Lex Luger is allowed be in the game. However, no Chris Beniot. Weird.

No secret codes this go around, you have to earn the extras with your hard work at work, not through effort in the game.

Overall this game is fun, but the holes become noticeable as the fresh game smell wears off. The pressure to churn out a new game every year is costing on quality.

I have played and fairly consistently enjoyed the WWE games since SvR 2008. I'm not new to this series by any means. And this may actually be the first time I've found such a seemingly great game so loathesomely unplayable that I've given up on it within just a week of owning it.
Roster? Great, unless you take into account the lack of Becky, Sasha, and Charlotte, who should have been in

Roster? Great, unless you take into account the lack of Becky, Sasha, and Charlotte, who should have been in as NXT girls, far more than Emma and Eva Marie.
Creation mode. W. T. F. No create a finisher? VERY limited options on facial construction, skin tone, body hair, and wardrobe.
But, I was able to forgive all that, since I'm used to these game companies taking away just as much as they give, every year. So, on I played; excited with the inclusion of new commentators; and with Lilian and the time keeper at ringside? YES! HUGE roster? Hell YEAH!
BUT! Then I actually play the matches. Where's Ron Simmons? We need a "DAMN!", here.
Targeting system is about as helpful as a mentally handicapped sloth.
Movements are programmed seemingly to be in perpetual slow motion.
The reversal button in about as responsive as someone who's been hit by a bus.
Kickout system is too buggy, and doesn't get it's crap together in time, very often.
Career mode sounds cool, until, for some reason, Zack Ryder is beating you in your first match, due mainly to the problems I've addressed above, and the ones to follow.
The submission system.....No. JUST NO. Barf worthy. Way too hard to manage. When someone's whole body is in the red, and you slap Natty's Sharpshooter on them, it should not be difficult to tap them out. Especially not difficult enough to cause me to want to scream, curse, and throw a highly expensive controller through a highly expensive TV screen. (I didn't, but it's the thought that counts!)
And finally, there's just too many bugs, in general. The commands that need to appear very often don't, no matter how in position you are. Like OMGs by the announce table, or finisher/signature icons, and other things.
So, 2K can take this particular incarnation of the series, turn the damn thing sideways, and shove it right up their candy a$$e$.

wwe 2k16 es un gran juego pero se echan en falta varios tipos de combate, sobre todo de creacion, y el 2k showcase se hace aburrido ya que siempre juegas como stone cold

I found early and often I could not get down the timing to counter, and I would be stuck in a chain of unstoppable attacks from my COM until I got a counter correct.

It feels like a chore to learn all the controls, you can not mash and have fun with unexpected results. Probably if I studied the game more I might get more enjoyment but I don't want to have study up on a game to have fun.

The last good WWE game in my opinion, with the best character customization, a very large character roster and fresh gameplay mechanics.

I think we’re still one year away from the greatness that 2K is truly capable of. In the meantime, WWE 2K16 will do a pretty good job of being the No. 1 contender.

This is a game that delivers all the personality and fame-centered features of the wrestling world in detail; however in the process it compromises, rather ironically, a more realistic feeling of combat as in the actual sport. WWE 2K16 is a game that is better to watch than play, although it will probably satisfy hardcore fans.

Yuke’s made some improvements taking the series in the right direction, but do not expect any revolutionary changes, because the most important aspect – the combat system – was only slightly modified. [13/2015, p.38]
