Warsaw makes its way from PC to PS4 pretty much intact. The controls take a bit of getting used to and the load times are slightly too long but the challenging, tactical combat and uncommon setting translates without issue.

A solid turn-based strategy wrapped up in a grimly intriguing slice of wartime history, WARSAW is quite capable of having its intended emotional impact land on target. The biggest roadblock that faces is in the balance between being a video game, and being a powerful bit of storytelling about a real-life tragedy.

The game tries to walk a fine line between frustration and being coherent with the story of loss, sorrow, and resistance at all costs that it wants to tell, but the former seems to take over most of the time since the narrative doesn’t have many chances to shine, exacerbating the sting of recurring bugs. As it stands, this port has visible kinks that need to be ironed out, and a few patches could do wonders for making the experience less punishing than it already is.

Hard to start but later rewarding gameplay. Shows frustration and hardness on fighting stronger enemy. Beautiful 2D graphics.

Sometimes you're lucky in finding the things you want on the map but with only 4 characters at once and sometimes you face tanks. It's a mix bag, certainly the balance is not quite right.

But the main reason it gets a 2, is because the bugs aren't ironed out. At one point during ANY playthrough the nazi's will stop functioning in their turn. Which means the game never moves forward, occasionally even resetting the machine and since it autosaves before the battle - the same bug occurs. |t's very game breaking unless you play the same battle 5 times and hope... the nazi's play their turns properly.

it's been out for months; it's a glaring bug. So.. don't buy. even on a sale.
