    Grind is unbearable, i have 1200 hours (F2P player) and 0 MBTs (except squadron and 1 premium vehicle i bought lately). And a premium vehicle will cost you 60$, and you need premium account as well.

    fix the economy. You basically cant progress in this game without spending either the price of an AAA title for 1 vehicle or buying a monthly subscription to premium. Repair costs are way to high and the rewards too low. Join the war thunder player union!

Not to mention that the devs don't seem to play their own game and they balance vehicles based on player stats and REPAIR COST, (an amount of ingame currency a vehicle costs when you die with it), thisThe developer's greed has turned this game to ♥♥♥♥. Not to mention that the devs don't seem to play their own game and they balance vehicles based on player stats and REPAIR COST, (an amount of ingame currency a vehicle costs when you die with it), this stupid feature is only there so you get less currency and potentioally pay real money because you can't afford the new tank you just researched. About that. Tanks take exponentially more research points to get. While a rank 1 vehicle will take you 3000 points(1-3 matches), a top tier vehicle takes 400.000! (~100 matches). So if you want to play like they show you in the trailers, have fun playing this game daily for a year with still no T-80 in sight. The Devs have decreased and removed all kinds of rewards over the years and made the grind unbearable for f2p players and even for premium users. Ah yeah and you have to research planes seperately. I have around 2000 hours in this game, I just swiched from the piece of ♥♥♥♥ warthunder launcher that uses all bandwith when it auto-updates the game every time you start up your pc. All in all I would say: Dear devs, start to listen to your community and stop being the greedy ♥♥♥♥♥ you currently are.

    I simply cannot recommend the game in the current state. I played since the Beta and it reached a new low for the community. Gaijin should stop being greedy or else!

    Well I’d give this 10 quesadillas out of ten but the main factor was the lack of more ponies for a my little pony title it lacks ponies and I’m mad I want to see the ponies at least I got my taste of blowing up vehicles if only I could do that to ponies heads

    Having played it for thousands of hours, i've felt more and more disconnected over the recent years.
    Patches after patches, with crippling changes.
    Both to economy and the stuff added. More and more focus on how to exploit the playerbase for the money, than actually developing the game in a direction that will make it last a long long time, where people actually enjoy themselves.     The sad thing is, there isn't really any competitors for the game, thus making it easier for the developers to do as they please.
    I've been boycotting this game for the better part of 2 months now, and i'll keep doing that.
    You have a creator, that even goes so far as to blame the playerbase instead of owning up the mistakes they have made on the way til this day.

    Can't recommend this game to anyone, not by a long shot.

    If you want a good time?
    Well, GHPC is a rather new and good looking game if you are interested in tanks and ground forces.
    If you are into Air? Well, check out DCS.
    Brilliant air combat simulator.
    Just, for the love of god do not install war thunder or even look at it on any platforms.

    К тому же, гринд в этой игре просто невыносимо долгий. Чтобы достичь чего-то значимого, вы должны проводить бесчисленные часы, повторяя одни и те же задания снова и снова. Это утомляет и убивает всю охоту за увлекательным геймплеем.

    Графика в Вартандер тоже оставляет желать лучшего. Все выглядит устаревшим и недоработанным. Некоторые модели танков и самолетов выглядят так, будто они были нарисованы еще в начале 2000-х годов. Игра просто не соответствует современным стандартам и оставляет ощущение, будто вы играете во что-то, что давно уже устарело.

    В общем, я не рекомендую Вартандер никому. Если вы хотите потратить свое время и деньги на игру, которая постоянно требует вложений и не приносит никакого удовольствия, то пожалуйста, присоединяйтесь.     PS4 and PC gamers are put together. As result PS4 player will get shot more often. On short distance it's possible to target reasonably fast and get a kill, but on mid and long distances it's just impossible to do same macro targeting as mouse users.

    War thunder started out ok, other that the crap physics involved. Don't complain on the boards though, the fan boys get all b.hurt. This is a terrible game if you want a game based on history and real physics. I will never play again.

    Free to play war tanks game with some chance to drive different kind of aircrafts. The game is enjoyable, for a short while, but the flying part is extremely hard with little help.

    great concept, endless downloads and updates,... few players use mikes, newbs are usually cannon fodder and eventually, depending on your interest level, it becomes predictable and repetitive. If there was an easy way to set up voice comm in a battle, it would help. maps are nice and big and allow for flanking movement.

    War thunder is another great flying game from Russia's Gaijin Entertainment. They have created other great flying games such as IL2 STURMOVIK. This is a fun flying game which is probably the best in its genre. If you play it on the PS4 it cross games with the PC gamers which means more people playing and the beta would be more busy.     War Thunder, I've been around since before patch 1,25 and I came to learn more people (Alpha testers, Mods, devs, Gaming masters, users, historical consultants etc.) than most people in the game. Initially when I stumbled across War Thunder I instantly fell in love the with idea of an all-out combat 'simulator' and as such I signed up and was surprised by the small user base. I learnt whyWar Thunder, I've been around since before patch 1,25 and I came to learn more people (Alpha testers, Mods, devs, Gaming masters, users, historical consultants etc.) than most people in the game. Initially when I stumbled across War Thunder I instantly fell in love the with idea of an all-out combat 'simulator' and as such I signed up and was surprised by the small user base. I learnt why it had such a small user base really quickly; Gaijin's inability to tackle problems and find solutions in a sensible amount of time.
    Where should I start? Let me do it at with the current existing game modes (Patch 1,41), currently there are 3 game modes; Arcade Battles (AB), Realistic Battles (AB) and Simulator Battles (SB). Tanks have gone into OBT and now all are free to play them, however currently tanks are separated from planes (Why? In the CBT you could play both tanks and planes together) however both tanks and planes have the same type of game modes.
    Let me start with the positive sides of War Thunder, nice graphics (For both planes and tanks), detailed tank/plane models, mostly accurate tank/plane models, some real life based settings and the massively improved Custom Battles. However right here is where I have to stop, there are just too many negatives that plague this game as of late. Currently the Battle Rating (BR) system (The MatchMacker uses the BR to fill games) is completely messed up, a Meteor F3 has a BR of 6,7 whilst it's German counter-part the Me262 has to enjoy fighting Korean era Sabres. You can see this across all the tech trees of all nations, e.g. the F4U Corsair (Late war plane) is rated at a BR of 3,3 and it enjoys fighting early war planes, am I the only one that finds this ridiculously stupid? Then there are other things such as repair prices of planes (My God take a look at the N1K2 for Japan and it's BR whilst it's US adversarie the F6F enjoys a low repair cost and low BR) as well as the damage output of all cannons of all planes/jets. Things like these, the fundamental of the game are broken, they broke it with this patch, previously it worked half fine however now it's simply broken which is just sad considering how much time I invested into the game.
    Now there is another glaringly obvious problem (Not the rotten community) but the corrupted, underage and childish moderation team. One might ask, well how do you know that they are corrupted? Can you show us evidence of this? Go and ask some of the older players that stopped playing the game (Guys from A01 for example) and they can tell you all about the lovely PayPal payments that some moderators received (There are even YouTubes videos about it). The Mods and GMs ban based on the players they dislike that is always fun is it not?!

    So how do we conclude? Well it's rather simple, don't touch the game until its major fundamental flaws have been ironed out and the moderation team has been subbed out for a more mature one.    … Expand

    Solid tank and plane gameplay with an innovative damage model and great optimized graphics make a solid foundation for War Thunder. Sadly, a hard pay to win policy and an extremely, extremely long grind for the more modern tanks make this game a fit only for the the specially interested.

    Pretty boring. You have to fly like 2 minutess to get in battle then 30 seconds to find another enemy and chase him for 2 mins until 60 th hit brings him down.

    War thunder- it is one of the best ww2 games out there. It is also free and is on ps4 and the pc. If you can't us the ps4 controller to aim you can just hook up a keyboard and mouse. It can be arcade or simulator. It combines everything world of tanks, and warplanes have and puts it into one. Plus I heard there will also be boats soon. All around a great game

I have some level 4 and 5's but I never have nearly the fun as I do zipping around in the lower tiers. And honestly, the first 3 tiers are pretty easy goals to reach and reasonably priced if you haven't the time to grind.… Expand

    frustrating game, with lots of potential... aerial combat has always been difficult for me and the lack of aim assist options and poor single player campaigns is frustrating...

    although its beta the graphics are not worthy of next gen

    Incredible flight mechanics. Immersive multiplayer game play. I just keep coming back to this after months, and is the current PS4 game that is attracting all of my attention.

    Gaijin have done it again i loved their il-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey. I doubted they could create another great game on a F2P title but they did well with easy controls, Simple Research tree and amazing visuals.
    It does how ever fail in the simulator battles as no one seems to play them and i have spent 20 minutes waiting for 1 match.

    This game will give you literally hours of game play for free. It is not even necessary to subscribe to Playstation Plus to play this game online. Tons of tanks and planes to choose from. many customization are available. Just for this game alone it is worth it to get PS4. This game is highly recommended

    This is one of my personal favorites, I loved the PC version and found the PS4 port just as fun, I don't see why people are so upset about it. I still play the PC version a lot more because while the joysticks are smoother, i found that mouse and keyboard were easier for me

    One thing hinders my enjoyment immensely - most rounds just don't feel fair. Most of my kills come from loading a plane with so much lead that it can't carry the weight anymore and it just sinks into the ground (while satisfying, it often takes just under a minute of chase and firing), yet when I get killed I am blown into several pieces in the air almost immediately by someone that never seemed to appear on my radar. I'm guessing since this is a cross-platform game, the PC users have some sort of advantage, because there's no way people that dispatch of my planes so quickly are experience the same herky-jerky aiming that I am with my mouse. Don't bother if you are going to try to use the dualshock 4... you will not compete. If you're like me and wondering why you even bought a ps4 at this point due to the lack of games, you probably won't be disappointed playing this one for a week or two.    … Expand

    this game got shot right out of the sky. this game is action packed of dog fights. plane v.s. plane plane and simple. the graphics could be better. other than that the game works great. fun to play and it's free so what do you expect. 8/10

    What a fantastic game! War Thunder really caught me by surprised on how good it is. Not sure why this game is scoring low with some of you people, maybe the learning curve is too difficult?

    Pro's Realistic flight and damage models. Maps look great and are huge. 300+ planes. Deep upgrade system. Steep learning curve! Cross-plat play. Grinding is actually fun. But as a game it kinda stinks, since game-play is totally repetitive (go into battle; shoot things down; get shot down; repeat; see the same map; use the same planes; repeat again; get bored; repeat again again) and since imbalances in favor of certain nations /Probably the most realistic flight-sim game available for the WW-II era, and free to play, so as a simulator it's pretty good. Pay at your own risk ... a funny but futile attempt by members of a rather non-market-oriented culture to create "market friendly" goods, by DEMANDING that the market be SUPPLIED with their product.     Совершенно не работает никакой кроссплеи с PC. Не возможно пользоваться старым аккаунтом на PS4, а с новосозданного на PS4 нельзя зайти в PC версию. В меню провалы fps. Само по себе меню игры не адаптированно под геймпад.

    Great game. Amazing graphics, incredible flight mechanics, huge maps, a lot of planes. I have played for 50 hours without paying for anything and it's great. However premium players can be annoing sometimes. If you want to unlock better/best planes you will have to pay. It takes so so so long to unlock anything better than only good.

The game isn't as "beautiful" as what some think the amount of work put into the landscape is pretty bad, but from the sky it looks decent enough to enjoy. The controls are great and the different game modes really change up the game play more than you'd expect, warning though game is not made for everyone. which it would explain the negative reviews. It's a free game you'd expect the lower grade of the console community to play it, trust me i play all different kinds of games. I've played over 60 PC games on steam alone, some of the most enjoyable games I've played have had terrible reviews, but all the positive ones were ecstatic about it. So try War Thunder, maybe you'll like it, maybe you weren't not all games are built for everyone, think about that next time you read reviews.

They'll use prototype russian aircraft with 4 cannons and match them with first gen german aircraft (developed years earlier) that have 1 cannon.

    It's also designed so you have a 50/50 win/loss rate despite how good you are. So the game will punish you for winning and match you with people who have higher ranked vehicles if you win too often.    … Expand

    fun game, progression is a bit confusing but they ability to play with your PC friends was an amazing touch that more games shoulf look into. Aeriel combat is fun. However, tanks is a bit difficult and is hard to get into but still doable.

    Game used to be unbalanced, but as of lately, I think it stands in a good state. Interesting WW2-era game, can play as either tanks or aircraft, and I believe ships are coming soon. Lots of fun with friends, beautiful graphics, never encountered any bugs, and can get very addictive as you want to progress to unlock more advanced vehicles. Music is classic, keeps you in the mood.

    I have been playing since the early days of this game before jets and tanks were even a thought in this game.

    I have played on the stand alone client and then moved to the steam client version when it came to steam. The 1300 hours that steam shows that I have doesn't even begin sum up the amount of time I have put into this game. With that said I highly suggest avoiding this game.     Since I started playing top tier I've bought premium time every time it's on sale. Even then it doesn't solve the economy issues, it just makes them a little more bearable.

    The thing is, the net rewards I get now WITH PREMIUM TIME are less than the net rewards I got a few years ago without it. How does that work? Gaijin creates a problem, and sell the solution, except the solution doesn't work.

    Playing Sweden is downright impossible, and having fun at anything over 7.0 in any nation is a laughable suggestion.

    It's almost as if Gaijin has learnt that a lot of the playerbase 'subscribe' to war thunder, mainly due to gaijin's continuous negative economy changes, that war thunder is pretty much now accepted as a subscription game, especially over 7.0. given the large proportion of subscribers, the general earning of vehicles get skewed up, thus gaijin has to change them in order to push more premium vehicles, and premium time onto players. The problem is, most of those players are already paying for premium time. Premium time is no longer an option that lets you progress faster, it's a subscription to the game, and you suffer the same as F2P players at lower tiers do. This is Unacceptable.

    Gaijin has even admitted that tech tree vehicles are balanced to not be profitable. In a game that relies on players making in-game money to progress, giving them vehicles that are designed to cause them to lose SL does not make them want to spend more on the game, it turns them away.

    More and more premium vehicles get added every update, but the F2P and premium subscription players get shafted with rewards decreases and repair cost increases.

    As much as I appreciate Gaijin needs to make money, their operating costs haven't significantly increased, yet the playerbase and number of paying customers has. Many players, myself included, would be far more inclined to spend money on the game if the changes benefitted the paying players. Selling a premium jet for the price of an AAA game is ridiculous, given this is generally not a one-off purchase for the individual, they may buy others. AAA games that sell for half as much still get continuous updates, despite the sales pretty much being the purchase of the game. I'm sure MANY players would pay for war thunder, even subscribe (as a lot do already) if the game actually rewarded them for spending their hard earned money on it.

    Absolutely horrible game.

    Rewards are horrible (even with premium), getting to the very top vehicles can take over a year of you time and the game just isn't fun.

    I have about 1500 hours in this game and would liked to have written a positive review. However, the approach developers take to squeeze money out of you has always left me with a disgust that never made me pay them, and as this has only worsened over the years I feel like there is nothing else to do than leave a bad review and uninstall the game.

    While the initial learning curve is daunting, this is one of those games that opens up dramatically the more that you play it, so the time commitment is worthwhile whether you're a laidback dogfighter or a hardcore simmer.
