Wow - so this game was way better than I expected! I was blown away by the time travel and graphics. Gameplay and puzzles are amazing, some puzzles are quite hard but overall really fun! Wanderer is up there for me amongst the best VR titles.

Very ambitious game that can be incredibly fun with a very engaging story that is undone somewhat by some irritating glitches at times. Also, as wonderful as the premise is, the ending left me wondering what had happened, as if the rug had been pulled out from under me. At it's heart it is an escape room puzzle game, but it also has such wonderful and interesting characters that at times I didn't care because I was so thoroughly lost in its story. This is why the ending felt like a sucker-punch. I won't divulge what happens because it is so good throughout, but I couldn't decide whether this game was begging for a sequel or a rewrite. I will let you decide. Expand

With plenty to investigate, but questionable design choices and frustrating technical issues, Wanderer is unpredictable in both good and bad ways. [Issue#12, p.93]

The result is like the game's own inventory puzzles: disparate notions combining to create ingenious and often surprising new forms. [Issue#369, p.119]

I cannot emphasize enough what a grand adventure Wanderer is. The game has the right mix of action and puzzle-solving to keep things from getting stale. Voice acting and the orchestral score are top-notch and bring added gravitas to the proceedings. The only niggle in the presentation comes with the actions of the NPCs. Sometimes they are oblivious to your presence and movement. This makes their obviously scripted behaviour all that more artificial.
