Aug 18, 2015The story is basically a futuristic version of Robin Hood and the gameplay is similar to the first MGS game. It's fun to play if you were a fan of the original Metal Gear games but if you weren't, then there isn't anything about this game that would appeal to you. The story is average, and there's nothing special about this game. It's not a bad game, no. But for me its just too mehh...

Mar 30, 2017Fun game, story is simple, and it is quite short (5-6h). There is not much replay value (except from doing a better time), but this does really not reward you in anyway unless you care about the leaderboards...

Playstation Official Magazine UKOct 10, 2015Mike Bithell's long-awaited Thomas Was Alone follow-up is a bigger, fancier puzzle game, but one in which the levels don't quite come together as much as the Robin Hood plot. [Nov 2015, p.109]

Sep 17, 2015Volume gives you a good range of interesting means to sneak through a hundred quite creative levels filled with sneaky puzzles. A hundred is a bit too many, but on the other hand, the game does get more interesting the further you get into it. To me, Volume is essentially a puzzle game with a stealth theme. It is a quite good puzzle game, but for a stealth game, the room for creativity and impulse is too limited to my taste.

Sep 14, 2015Volume’s strengths are primal but simple, at times feeling like a Crossy Road-style time-passer with a cyberpunk sheen. It tries but ultimately doesn’t say much of modern society or governments beyond the elementary. Indeed, it is the modern videogame incarnate, warts and all.
