Void Terrarium is an amazing game that is fun, addicting, and engaging, and I cannot recommend it enough. First, let's talk about the presentation. The visuals and sound design are amazing, with a gorgeous artstyle and great music. The story is a bit slow, but I found myself caring about the characters. It follows a robot as he helps take care of the last remaining human on earth. With theVoid Terrarium is an amazing game that is fun, addicting, and engaging, and I cannot recommend it enough. First, let's talk about the presentation. The visuals and sound design are amazing, with a gorgeous artstyle and great music. The story is a bit slow, but I found myself caring about the characters. It follows a robot as he helps take care of the last remaining human on earth. With the help of a computer ai, you nurse the little girl and care for her in a terrarium. This game can be difficult at first, but that's the point. Like the Disgaea series, the point of the game is to grind until the game becomes easier. In Void Terrarium however, it is a little different. Every time you enter a level, you start at level 1. You get stronger by crafting items to decorate the Terrarium with, which gives you permanent stat increases and other perks. You need to gather resources to craft those items, and you're not going to get very far without a little bit of grinding. Fortunately, you eventually unlock something similar to the item world from Disgaea, which makes it easier to gather resources. This game is a roguelike rpg like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and even if you haven't played other games in the genre like myself, you can still get into it, though it may take time to get into. NIS is known for having somewhat overpriced games, but I can happily say that this game is worth the price. The game is only $25, and I have played nearly 50 hours, and I haven't even beat the game! There are achievements that will add many hours to the game, and while there isn't a ton of content, the pretty much mandatory grinding will increase the hours and make the experience fairly lengthy, and I mean that in all the right ways. I played the Switch version, but since both are the same, I am giving it the same score.

At its heart, Void Terrarium is a delightful, charming and compelling Tamagotchi-inspired 'keep them alive 'em up.' Sadly these magical moments are coated in so much tedious and overly-difficult combat and exploration bloat that it is exhausting to find them. There's magic hidden deep in this game, just be prepared to grind long and hard to find it.

After having played many Mystery Dungeon style games, it's clear that void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium is in the top-tier of what the genre is capable of. Add in oodles of heart and a lovely presentation and you're left with one exceptional formula.

Void Terrarium is a strange and beautiful dungeon crawling RPG, and despite the familiar genre, manages to feel like there’s nothing else out there like it.
