Uncharted TLL is a great addition to the the franchise. Chloe is a fantastic protagonist and at the core of the story is one of a personal journey though the tone is far less serious then that of A Thief's End. The set pieces are exhilarating as ever. Naughty Dog once again have delivered the goods.

This game originally was meant to be DLC for Uncharted 4 but as Naughty Dog was having so much fun with the DLC that it made more sense for it to become a stand-alone game rather than DLC. It’s not a full priced game and in my opinion, I absolutely think its worth the $40. Of course, as I said. It’s hard for me to stay biased because it’s Uncharted and I just love this franchise.

In the Lost Legacy, it doesn’t have franchise icon Nathan Drake which is a bold move. Nathan Drake is definitely one of the major faces of PlayStation and his face alone sells games. It’s kind of like Nintendo making A Legend of Zelda game but without Link.

Instead of the game being about Nathan Drake, The Lost Legacy is about Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. Some people were very excited about Chloe, I was never that excited about the game having her as the protagonist. It’s not that I didn’t like her, I always felt like Elena was the better fit for Nathan Drake.

Even though in Uncharted 4, Nadine was necessarily on the “good” side. I still liked her as a character. Any character that has the ability to take on both Drake brothers (Nathan and Sam) and win easily. She is a certifiable bad ass.

So the two set out on an adventure across India to find an Ancient Indian artifact. The premise and the story are all very Uncharted-like. There is character development with Chloe, Nadine, and their relationship together. The two start out, not really liking one another but as the game progresses you really see that relationship grow.

I’m not going to spoil, the games big reveal but there is a surprise character that’s brought back from the previous games. I really ended up liking this character a lot more, Naughty Dog did a great job of making this prior character much more likable. Plus they really provide some great comic relief. It’s not necessarily, hilarious but it has that Marvel Cinematic Universe humor. Its action packed experience with a little bit of humor sprinkled in.

For personally, this was a must buy. I really enjoyed my time with the game and really my only complaint is that it’s too short. I know a lot of people will disagree with me and they’re happy with the length.

And the game gameplay does not surprise in any way. Here only a game is constructed on mechanics of Uncharted 4, perhaps the best game of this generation of consoles. Unambiguously a game it turned out excellent. Ridiculously after that to look at Shadow of the Tomb Raider which gameplay turned out several times worse. Expand

A decent game that doesn't offer much than the previous title. Yes, it is a DLC and it will be reviewed as one. The graphics are amazing as expected, the story is very interesting and focused on Indian Mythology and it took me 7 hours to finish it.

However, the main characters were not ideal for a spin-off game. True, Chloe was kind of okay but Nadine felt like a fish out of the water ("Oh you are so unprofessional" hehe). I don't have a problem with female leads, but it just didn't work for me. The combat system offers nothing new and the gameplay options of the player are very limited. The Lost legacy emphasizes more on stealth combat. There are some huge AI problems but they didn't really bother me. What I missed was Nathan. His absence was big and his gap could not be filles by the other characters. Even the cameo character wasn't enough. Also, I was disappointed that Chloe felt like a copycat of Nate in terms of moves.

I comprehend that the team had a limited time to create this 9 chapter game, but the truth is, I was a little disappointed. Not so much from the game since it's a pleasent, more action packed way to spend your time, but from the fact that I had the feeling that the creators didn't put much effort to it, so they followed a trustworthy formula.

In short, it's a nice game with interesting story but uninteresting characters. It has all the key elements that we love from the uncharted series, however it doesn't succeed to take a step further for the series. I am not interested in playing a new game with Chloe and Nadine. I'm hoping for a Cassie Drake game after The Last of Us 2.

Technically speaking, this is an upgrade from UC4, the graphics are just abit crisper, the gameplay is further refined with a photo mode and I feel like melee combat was a bit better, but it's 95+% the same. The greatest change, and best change, made was in the middle of the game there's a pseudo open-world section, wherein instead of the linear path like most Uncharted chapters, you have the option of where to go next and side mini-ruins you can explore. I wouldn't want the entire game like it, but it was fun.

Storywise, it's a bit weaker. It's shorter than any main Uncharted, and as a side game it can't rely on the rich backstory of UC1-4. Not that it's bad, but Chloe and Nadine never leant themselves to be endearing to the player in past games, and now we're forced to sympathize and care for them more. It does accomplish this, but I care more about Nathan's story and history, it being deeper and having far more to it.

That being said, Lost Legacy is certainly worth playing by any Uncharted fan. It's fairly short, a fun game, and who doesn't want more Uncharted?

It's a shame it's not on the PC where it could be run in a real frame-rate at a real resolution because otherwise it would be the most graphically impressive game ever. We'll just have to wait for the rumored Shadow of the Tomb Raider until we get something better on PC.

I'm not a fan of the combat and stealth of Uncharted, but fortunately this game keeps that to a minimum. Most of the game is the adventure parts of it, where you'll be scaling massive ancient Indian structures. There is an open-world part early on, although unfortunately it's just a pretty boring scavenger hunt. When the game is good, though, it's really good. The last chapter where you're chasing a train is pretty epic, though it can't compete with the best action sequences of Uncharted 4.

The character of Nadine has been pretty controversial since she was obviously thrown into Uncharted 4 to appease the likes of people like Anita Sarkeesian. In this game, though, they give her some actual character development and humanity which makes her seem like more than just an attempt to throw in "diversity". I also did like Chloe in this game, and an old friend returns from the previous games. The main villain is awesome too. The plot is a pretty standard Indiana Jones-style treasure hunter story, but it gets the job done.

The games is about 5 hours long if you're good at games, and about 8 hours long if you're like me. It's priced at $40, but I'd recommend renting it for $3 from Red Box or something since it's over very soon. And unlike Rise of the Tomb Raider which had a lot of replay value, plus an end-game, there is very little reason to play it a second time. If they make another Uncharted game, they need to take a lesson from Rise of the Tomb Raider on how to give you more incentive to keep playing the game. I've put 70 hours into Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC, but I've never beaten the Uncharted games more than once.

All in all, it's a must-rent game, but until Naughty Dog starts giving their games replay value, there's no reason to pay full price for it.

Graphically, Lost Legacy looks even more gorgeous than part 4. It also has tougher puzzles and adds a phone camera, locked boxes and a silenced pistol. However, the biggest addition is an open-world chapter that contains various scattered coins. If you find them all, you unlock a bracelet that chimes when you're near a hidden treasure chest. Lost Legacy may not last long, but it's terrific. I would rate this with a 9 out of 10.

but it has a big issue...
its only 8 hours long :|
If i recall correctly Uncharted 2 and 3 were about 3 times the length, as they should be. Sadly as I was just really getting into this one it started to climax very prematurely. I was like, naaah this has to be the end of the first 1/3rd or somnk, but it was not.
Theres just a single section of jaw dropping statue filled caverns, and though it is a joy it is over too soon, then its back to the more tedious parts of uncharted: generic jungle, jeep driving and such.

It nearly felt like a demo it was so short. Turns out it was originally going to be DLC for Uncharted 4 which makes sense of its short length. Still though, its a real shame.

If you have played Uncharted 4 then don't expect something unique-innovative. It's the typical DLC, which due to its large size, Naughty Dog decided to sell it as a standalone.
The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is pretty much the same (shooting has some improvements) but for me the biggest mistake was the inclusion of Nadine (maybe the worst character in the Uncharted franchise) as a supporting role which makes the story less entertaining.

It's a character that a lot of players didn't like in Uncharted 4 and they weren't interested to learn more about her. The promotion of this character is clearly due to Naughty Dog's intention to become more progressive and include a minority badass woman (African American). This is a very noble cause but they forgot the most important: good writing. So they made her a caricature and the character development that they attempted in this story was very cliche-predictable and it didn't make her any less annoying. As you understand it's really hard to enjoy the journey when your partner breaks your nerves constantly and you don't care if she will live or die in the next scene.
Chloe is also a minority badass woman (American-Indian origin) but Chloe is actually a well-written character.

I think that if they had chosen the following pairs: Chloe-Elena (two awesome female characters), Chloe-Sullivan-Sam, Chloe-Cutter, the story would be much better with more enjoyable banter, more humor, more exploration in their relationship and the fact that they know each other would also had an bigger impact on the emotional level, for the characters and the players. Finally, the 40€ is too much for a DLC that doesn't offer something new so i suggesting to wait until the price drops.

The area in the game lacked variety for me. The island where you spend most of your time in that game is boring as **** imo. I liked the last part (with the train) in the game a lot better.

And now the worst part of the game: the characters. I really don't mind a blow of a fresh air, exchanging Nathan and Victor with two different lead characters. but goddamn, those two, Chloe and Nadine, were just so unbelievably **** boring, that's impossible. I rarely seen main characters in a game that were more boring than these two. Two many sighs, too much artificial attemts to be funny, too much obvious **** talking. Terrible. Really terrible.

I'd rather see an Uncharted game with Sully or Elena as the main leads. As someone mentioned, Chloe felt like Lara Croft from the 90's, and Nadine...

Quickly after that initial "wow" moment however the story began to drag/slow down a bit and i began to worry if there really couldn't be an uncharted game without Nathen Drake. I was wrong. Ever so sightly i started liking the characters more and more. Without spoiling anything seeing them evolve as they tracked down this treasure was what kept me playing. The game in my opinion reached its peak when a third character was brought into the mix. Its ashame this was done pretty close to the end as this is when the story was at its best. All this boiled up to what i consider to be one of the best video game endings i've ever played.

Why this isn't a 10/10 for me is because of some minor frustrating things that lessened my playing experience. Theres a open world part that feels unneeded and empty along with alot of moments where i thought i was suppose to jump somewhere only to die or fall back to the ground and have to climb up again. When fighting a boss character the dodge button gets changed from triangle to circle and doesn't seem to work well anyway. These are just minor flaws however that only briefly annoyed me.

My final rating of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a 8/10
I'd recommend waiting for a sale if buying only for the campaign which i finished in 7.5 hours.

Amazing game. This is not a "dlc", I mean it feels like a full game, and there is something not present in the four others I've played (as far as I remember) which impressed me since this was supposed to be a "dlc". I miss Nate Drake of course, but like Chloe and Nadine, so it seems he left for good. As usual I'm impressed with ND, hats off to them.

this is great game, story is nice. play is fun, only one thing i don't like is the repeat of the challenges in uncharted. they were too similar. .other than that no drawbacks.

Sigue en la línea de los demás uncharted, aunque cuesta ver un uncharted sin Nathan Drake, de todas formas excelente videojuego con Chloe y Nadine como protagonistas.

Still in the line of others uncharted, although it costs to see an uncharted without Nathan Drake, anyway excellent video game with Chloe and Nadine as protagonists.

Despite the poor narrative, there is some fun to be had throughout the 9 or so hours it’ll take you to beat Lost Legacy. While it’s definitely not the globe-trotting adventure of a full, numbered Uncharted, this expansion has a few great moments of its own.

The Lost Legacy is a great, breathtakingly beautiful action adventure game and its only substantial weakness is that it fails to reach the stellar level of A Thief’s End while heavily relying on old tricks. [11/2017, p.60]

The Lost Legacy is not as great as a real new part in the Uncharted series, but as an insanely expansive stand-alone DLC it's more than successful. We will always miss Nathan Drak, but hopefully Uncharted will continue in this form for a long, long time.
