Uncharted: The Lost Legacy switches the main character you play as in great fashion, Chloe and Nadine's story is fun and full of heartfelt moments. The gameplay is expanded from Uncharted 4 and is a great addition to the series.

Great addition to the franchise, with a story worth checking out starring Chloe and Nadine, two side characters of the main games. Gameplay and mechanics are similar to U4, but some upgrades are made specially for larger areas which can be explored. The storyline is a bit shorter, just around 10-15h, but it gains in exploration and freedom.
Overall, a great standalone spinoff worth

10/10 - This is another amazing game from Naughty Dog and it hits every note you want it to from an Uncharted game, it's an expansion on Uncharted 4 and has so many points in the story that you will remember. An amazing game and a must buy!

An all in all mediocre game, which does nothing great and nothing terrible.
I don't get all the complaints about the protagonists, though. They aren't that bad, and make for a pretty good cast for a side story.
The stealth, however, is terrible and the shooting isn't great at all. Without the autoaim, every difficulty higher than normal is unbearable with a controller. The gameplay got

I was happy with the ending that Uncharted 4 gave to Nathan Drake and had my reservations about another Uncharted game coming out. As a long time fan of the series, I didn't want anything to tarnish the series or to make it run on too long to ruin its legacy. I was surprised by how good this game was. It fit in the mold of an Uncharted game, butwithout Drake as the protagonist. I’m among these people that enjoyed Lost Legacy much more than Uncharted 4 and this for multiple reasons:

First the gameplay is way better than UC4 :

No more f******* “boost-me-up” sequences (Well, there is one but at least there are not a hundred of these like in UC4 or TLOU which was f****** annoying)

There’s a silent pistol because ND finally discovered that a good steatlh gameplay must have a silent weapon, like a bow or better a silenced pistol like it is the case here, which makes the stealth mechanic enjoyable !

There’s C4 and that’s a big change because you can create some sort of traps now with these by hidding them on the NPC walk, it’s enjoyable, it’s fun, it’s F**** cool !!

There are wayyyyy more puzzles and that’s cool too, some of them can be a little annoying but because of the two wonderful characters that lead that game you don’t really care as what you want is to spend as much time as possible with them . Very Cool

Beside all that, the gameplay is the same as UC 4, but the real difference, the thing that makes that little game way more better than UC4 is :

    The two characters !

Chloé and Nadine have an incredible alchemy between them, the story itself is not that good nor impressive BUT you can clearly feel as you go along with them that these two women are falling in love with each other and I found that beautiful because ND did not overdo it, they found a very good balance in the growing of these feelings.

If you have played UC2, there are some details that echoes the relationship between Chloé and Nate which tends to confirm the fact that there is a cute romance between Nadine and Chloé (Marco Polo….)
You feel genuinely happy for them both as they clearly have suffered in their relationships with men in the past.

In short, it’s not the most amazing game of all time, but it’s definitly a game that stays with you a long time after playing it, I hope that if there are new uncharted games, they will be leaded by these two very strong women, the type of women the new Lara Croft should have been…

Let's not forget also the score with some amazing tracks like The Insurgency, Chloé Frazer, Ambushed, Revelations, Chamber of the Kings, End of the Line, great score from start to finish.

My favorite UC game by far, just because of its characters and their relationship.

Chloe and Nadine are absolutely charming, alluring and wonderful company on this journey. I don’t care that ND went with the same core loop mechanics as Uncharted 4 - because they really bloody work. The scenery is as always gorgeous, if not amongst the very best in ANY Uncharted game.

This game became trash from the moment Nadine came in. I and obviously everyone wanted to see Chloe and Cutter once again, but what do we get? A character that no one likes and doesn't even make sense at all. In Uncharted 4 she could easily beat up Nate and Sam in a fight at the same time, despite Nate beating up for example: a group of about 20 pirates and a brute earlier in his career, and now Nadine CAN'T even handle Asav (which btw is the second worst villain in the series) while trying to beat him up in pair with Chloe. I was excited to see Chloe inaction as a main protagonist, but Nadine just ruined it all. The worst thing about it all is that Naughty Dog made them both bisexual by referring to them as 'Chlodine' and even making fan arts with them marrying. That is the worst idea you could possibly think of. I was glad that at least we got Sam but he was there for like 2-3 chapters and it just didn't repair the hole that Nadine already made by her existence in the Uncharted universe. Coming back to Asav, he was so boring. You don't really see him that much, only in fights similiar to those from UC4 when you can't even land a single hit. Although i must admit the boss fight was pretty good, and i even made sure that i'll let Asav win over Nadine a few times. There was like only one good plot part (at least one that i remember) which was Chloe finding out that her Dad made it. But besides that game is **** It even had the worst ending in every game that i have ever played, instead of doing it like previous entries did (credits rolling with the Nate's theme / original soundtrack playing) they gave us some random pop music (it wasn't bad it just didn't fit) which doesn't match. It made it more like some crappy movie for teenagers. For the plot itself it wasn't maybe that bad but it was just boring as hell when it turned out one chapter is basically the half of the game (btw the game took me 6 hours to complete and i lost like 3 hours on chapter 4 because it's a crappy open-world level where you have to use the crank 4 times with the same sequence all over again: 1.fight 2.nadine talking 3.crank. 4.nadine talking. 5.going back to car 6. nadine talking. And it just repeated several times and made it so boring). Leaving the plot, gameplay and graphics were boring as hell. It was basically UC4 but with added ONE mechanic, OPENING BOXES / DOORS QUICK TIME EVENT! I understand that it is a expansion to UC4 but at least they could've tried. I'm gonna admit the train part was the best segment of the entire fanfic i mean game, and it was probably better than the one in UC2 which is the only reason i'm giving this pile of sh- i mean DLC a 2/10 instead of 1/10. The puzzles were somewhat good, but they reminded me of the best ones from the original trilogy. My conclusion is: Lost Legacy is a high-budget fanfic that is worth playing once to see how crap it is and then never play it again, or play just for Chloe. Expand

Naughty Dog knows this and they force you into some meaningless appreciation FMVs that you could have other wise just done yourself, but they make sure you notice how amazing the graphics actually are.. kinda douche of them but hey.. they did the same thing with The Last Of Us.. Like come on we could have appreciated it ourselves, thanks though for forcing it..I went from beating The Last Of Us to playing this, I noticed right away it has a similar feel to it as The Last Of Us. Naughty Dog has found something good and ran with it obviously. I like the game, at first I didn't but it grew on me.

I was never a fan of Tomb Raider, which is basically what this game is. It's well done and has a nice feel to it. The stealth is pretty great, and the notifying indicators are a heaven send for stealth games. They really hit the nail on the head for some of the games mechanics.. The quests can seem a bit tedious at times, especially the side quests.. The open world feel doesn't really work as well as I'd like it to, something about the controls just seems cumbersome for an open world. The middle ground between what you can climb on and what you can't isn't very obvious at the start, but you pick up on it eventually.

The sound is great also, really high quality and robust. The title track from M.I.A. doesn't hurt either and left me singing "what's up with that" while I twerked my booty literally, love that song .The voice acting is really good for Frazer and distinct.. I also like how the main characters are Indian and Spanish, gives a little diversity..

8/10 from me. I really do appreciate the subtle details like how you can see npc's living in a house as you climb by their window, I've never seen anything like that in a game. Naughty dog has been putting easter eggs like this in their recent titles, and I'm here for it! Also the fact that the cuts and scrapes you get build up on the main character and stay there till the end of the game, which is just awesome. Chloe's hair getting sweaty and sticking to her neck in swirly curls, so many little details like this that just shows how much work went into the details of this game. Even if you don't like the game you have to appreciate it for the attention to detail and nuance.

Besides, it's Naughty Dog, the people that brought us Crash Bandicoot. Could they possibly have done bad after making that masterpiece and believe it or not, this game has similar elements to Crash, like the instant deaths and instant respawns from checkpoints.. The reason I'm giving an 8 and not a 9 or 10 is because there were your obvious flaws which could be overlooked but hey I'm being critical here. For instance one of them is the unrealistic action sequence are utterly ridiculous, then you die for falling 5 feet which is just SILLY.

    Bottom line: I'm thoroughly impressed.

Naugthy Dog originally sold this as a DLC but believe me if it felt like a full-fledged game. It is also a nice storyline for the characters that were also shown in Uncharted 4. Again an orderly world full of action. Also a credible bad guy. So absolutely worth it!

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (from now on UTLL) started life as an Uncharted 4 DLC but it was expanded into a full game. It's a shorter and leaner entry in the series, cutting some of the fat, but doesn't bring much new.

UTLL is the same Uncharted you know and love, with a few gameplay additions. Stealth plays a bigger role in this game relative to Uncharted 4 so you've got the silenced pistol and more high grass to hide in, while enemies have the same triangle indicators to let you know when you're about to be discovered. But I mostly enjoyed the open map where you can freely explore locations in any sequence with the jeep. This area is littered with little puzzles and platforming challenges.

But this is where positives end. UTLL is just another Uncharted game, same old same but less of it. Big set-pieces are fewer and lesser than in previous games. Don't expect anything as bombastic as Uncharted 2's train sequence or Uncharted 3's airplane scene. The jeep's handling is weird and buffled me compared to Uncharted 4, and it's too bad they didn't add some environmental puzzles with the jeep's rope. This game's supposed to be more open, but invisible walls (or knee-high obstacles that are just impossible to jump over) make an appearance. Last but not least, this game's story just doesn't have Nathan Drake's charm. While Chloe and Nadine have some nice dialogue and character progression, they can't possibly carry a game on their own the same way as the trusty trio of Nate, Sully and Elena. Also Sam Drake's inclusion is so much forced that feels out of place. Final boss is another forgettable Uncharted boss.

Overall UTLL is a nice entry in the series, but it's certainly not the best. If there is a new Uncharted game in the future, either a sequel or a reboot, I just hope Nate comes back. And gameplay needs some serious re-design, like God of War re-invented itself.

The only things I really liked about this game was the views, architecture, Nadine and Cloe's sense of humor, and as you get towards the ending the action picks up a lot and it gets real intense at times. The game is said to start as a DLC to Uncharted 4 and at many points during the game, it feels like that.
The story seems to be more personal and at a lot smaller scale. It is a small step back comparing to Uncharted 4. But it is a very small step as Lost Legacy is still an amazing game.

Everything you liked about the previous games is here. Cloe is a great main character in the game. She is almost the same adventurous and talkative type of person as Nathan in the previous installments. Nadine even makes a joke about that at some point.
The game takes place in India and it makes heavy use of this country's beautiful landscapes, history, and culture. And one thing that is done so much better than in any previous game are the puzzles. Indian temples in this game are full of deadly traps and puzzles. Lost Legacy feels more "Tomb Raider" than modern Tomb Raider games.
The gameplay stayed pretty much untouched. The developers tried to open up the game world even a little more than in Thief's End, but it didn't turn out so well as the game is much shorter and does not need so long break from the action.
Nevertheless, Uncharted: Lost Legacy is another great Uncharted game and I believe that its main problem is that it was released so soon after Uncharted 4. The bar was just too high.

What the series always delivers is a cinematic, bombastic and beautiful gaming experience and this is more of the same. The main (only) key change is having Chloe and Nadine, two of the series most interesting secondary characters, take centre-stage in lieu of Nathan Drake. This is such a welcome break and the two new protagonists here are tougher, more likable and more complex than Nathan ever was. It was a joy to see their companionship grow through the game and I would definitely not be against them taking up the next few entries too.

Replacing the continent-hopping grandeur of the main series games, this episode focuses on a single semi-open world location, the Indian Western Ghats. This is a stroke of genius given the underlying theme of the games - exploration and treasure hunting. Uncharted 4's Madagascar section gave us a taste of what to expect, but the Ghats are more stunning and alive than anything seen before. Of course, there are more linear tomb/cave/car chase sections interspersed, but the mid-section exploring the environment was a joyful experience, with plenty of collectibles and Easter eggs.

Gameplay is standard Uncharted and mostly works. I always find combat sections in Uncharted really unfairly weighted, and indeed this is no different. Firefights often boil down to repeatedly dying due to some gattling gun wielding foe and trying again and again til you find a way round. Stealth seems a bit broken, and I experienced more than a few niggles in the general maneuvering controls. Ultimately, it is functional, and gameplay is far from the strength of these games. Marveling at the absolutely ridiculous graphics, working out some truly clever puzzles, scraping through meticulous action set pieces by the skin of your teeth, this is what these games are about.

While not groundbreaking in any way and occasionally frustrating control-wise, this is a fantastic way to spend 6-10 hours and is as close to playing an action-thriller movie as you'll ever get. The shift in narrative focus away from Nathan is going to do wonders for the series, as Chloe especially is one of the most charismatic videogame characters I've ever witnessed. However, for Uncharted 5, if it comes to be, there needs to be some new mechanics introduced or an even more extensive open level, as it is definitely under risk of becoming one-note.

The game-play is great as always, the character development is amazing and the game is beautiful. All things that should be expected from Naughty Dog are here and the expectations have been exceeded. The game never set out to be a masterpiece but just to be another fun adventure with more exploring and action. However we have seen most of what this game does and the story is mediocre. Overall a great game.

This game succeeded. The graphics and attention to detail is flawless. Facial animation and lighting are perfect and I've never seen a game look so well even though i would have expected this from ND. The game-play from Uncharted 4 has been mostly untouched with a few improvements. Of course the shooting, stealth, hand to hand combat is great, but a lot of other things have been added or improved. Their is a lot more freedom and exploration in this game and a lot of things to explore and discover that aren't apart of the main story. Treasure hunting feels more fun this way by finding caves and caverns and knowing you will find something. Lock picking has been added which is a fun mechanic and the silenced pistol returned but the biggest change is that they basically removed crate pushing which dramatically affected pacing in Uncharted 4. However it is not present here. The puzzles, climbing, and set pieces are all here and what you would expect from Uncharted. The story is pretty generic and nothing new but not bad by any means. The villain is intimidating, the character development with Chloe and Nadine is amazing so it makes up for the standard story. This game also really shows a lot about Indian and Hindu culture and it was very entertaining. This game is great but i wish some new things were done here and the story is generic but overall this game should not be overlooked. Expand

Uncharted The Lost Legacy is a good game, solid story but the game feels like a DLC to Uncharted 4. That wouldn't be a bad thing if it was a DLC but because its a stand alone game it is a bad thing, it does get very boring after a while because it feels like your'e playing an Uncharted 4 rip off.

If you don't like puzzles, this game is not for you. I have been forced to quit mid game as I cannot complete a puzzle, and the internet has not helped. Even if I were helped, the fact that these puzzles are placed so often makes you realise how little this game actually has to offer, instead they just serve to delay you to stretch out the minimalist game this is. €15 was too expensive forIf you don't like puzzles, this game is not for you. Despite the poor narrative, there is some fun to be had throughout the 9 or so hours it’ll take you to beat Lost Legacy. While it’s definitely not the globe-trotting adventure of a full, numbered Uncharted, this expansion has a few great moments of its own.

The Lost Legacy is a great, breathtakingly beautiful action adventure game and its only substantial weakness is that it fails to reach the stellar level of A Thief’s End while heavily relying on old tricks. [11/2017, p.60]

The Lost Legacy is not as great as a real new part in the Uncharted series, but as an insanely expansive stand-alone DLC it's more than successful. We will always miss Nathan Drak, but hopefully Uncharted will continue in this form for a long, long time.
