Not bad for a spin-off. It is not the height of the 4 but it does well. Cost € 10 on offer, I can't complain. the lacking point is just the longevity ... but it's still a spin-off.

I wanted a short 10-15 hour game to play that reminded me of the Uncharted world, and this was it. I loved seeing 2 female protagonists kicking ass, and while it doesn't do anything new compared to other Uncharted series, it's a very good filler game that's done very well.

Filled with great characters, storytelling, exhilarating action sequences, fluid game play, and just pure visual artistry. It is a gaming franchise that has yet to include a disappointing addition. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which is a spin-off of the original series, continues naughtydog's golden streak. By the end having created a new piece of gaming gold, even if I did have my reservations in the beginning.

For a while The Lost Legacy contains the relentless pacing and breathtaking action, reminding the player they are in good hands. But once chapter 4 arrived, which takes a turn into a more "open world" territory, this was the one weak section for me. As I'm generally not the greatest when it comes to open world games, I found myself doing a lot of driving and walking around, and frequently checking my map wondering where it was I was supposed to be getting to progress to the next chapter. Though I was never bored during this section, it did slow the game down a bit. Of course, this isn't a fault of the creators, and in retrospect I'd like to explore that area even more if I ever return to the game, to come upon the many treasures and tokens I'm sure I missed. Because I had yet to reach chapter 5, and had no idea what greatness awaited me.

Fortunately, once you find you have progressed to the next chapter, the store and action really goes into full gear, and at times rivals even the greatest moments of the entire Uncharted franchise. From climbing up a crumbling temple, to clever and rewarding puzzles, to action set pieces that truly get the heart racing. You really feel back at home in the familiar Uncharted territory, and it's pretty awesome at times.

A late in the game train sequence possibly tops the already epic train sequence in the early Uncharted sequels (I believe 2) in its escalating intensity and mayhem. It mixes the best aspects of the ground breaking car chase in Uncharted 4, with the aforementioned train chase in Uncharted 2, and it is exciting and thrilling and exhausting in the best way possible. Without feeling like a useless rehash.

Surprisingly, the best moment in the entire game involves no puzzles or shoot outs at all, but a sweet moment involving an elephant returning to its family. It's a simple but touching moment that goes to show how masterful the naughtydog and Uncharted team really are. It's a moment to take a breath and admire the beauty of it all, to bond with the characters, while just happening to be riding on the back of an elephant feeding it fruit. It's these little touches that elevates Uncharted from simply good games to masterpieces. And thankfully gives the player a chance to take a breather in between all the near deaths. Not many games have these special little moments, which is what takes this series to a different level than other games.

If there is one minor nitpick, it is in the villain. While effective enough and with great voice acting, when all is said and done he's just simply not all that complex or original. Vile, yes, but nothing we haven't said before. Though it's undeniably fun to kick the crap out of him.

So here we go again. NaughtyDog knocks it out of the park. The Lost Legacy may not be a flawless classic like previous entries, but it's still a near-great video game, and it's worth it for the second half alone, which is highly rewarding and genuinely exciting stuff. The kick ass femme twist is just the cherry on top. In a way, it's exactly the game we need right now. Strong, intelligent, human, fearless, female characters who also know a thing or two about beating their foes to death and doesn't need a male to guide them. They're simply the best.

It's a HUGE mistake to think this is a "generic" Uncharted. Far from it. Although shorter than the usual adventure (8 to 10 hours, tops), Lost Legacy offers "more of the same" in the best way possible.

At first, I confess, I missed Drake. It felt weird without him, like the joy of the game was missing. But this feeling was slowly replaced by a sense of curiosity and admiration towards Chloe and her partner, Nadine. They are great characters; they work well together, they are funny, they are fierce, their banter is entertaining and, in the end, they show that they can do as much damage as Nathan Drake.

On top of it all, there is a sweet - and necessary - message to the female gaming community. More games with female leads are not supposed to be a gimmick, they are needed, and Naughty Dog knows how to do it. Lara Croft is trying to do this, for years, but they still make the same old mistakes of putting her under a sexual perspective, where - as a woman - besides dealing with thugs and traps, she is also needs to deal with rape etc. With Lost Legacy, it makes no difference that the protagonists are women; the enemies react to the danger, not the gender. And I think that is pretty cool.

Awesome game, loved it from start to finish.

Gameplay is solid although I do feel Chloe dies a bit on the easy side in some situations, she can take an RPG or grenade going off in her face almost then die from about 3 regular firearm shots.. that just feels off.

I was going to give this an 8/10 but the game redeems itself so well from the hum-drum of chapter 4 I couldn't do it. If you like Uncharted games you will like or love this game Drake is not needed in the slightest and I'd argue Chloe makes a better main character.

I hope ND do another Uncharted game with Chloe as the main character, Sam, and Nadine. Absolutely loved every minute.

It really is an extension of the great Uncharted 4, in terms of gameplay, visuals, narrative style... Just different characters and story.
It's a great adventure of exploration and discovery, plenty of gunfight and some crazy unrealistic climbing. The puzzles are challenging but not frustrating.
I really enjoyed the game but not as much as Uncharted 4.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Despite the developers trying to distance themselves from Uncharted 4, Lost Legacy is still an oversized and mind you, overpriced DLC. This is basically Uncharted in miniature, with your standard plot about another ancient city, villain with a private army and main characters bantering constantly, as well as obligatory action setpieces.

Now overall I enjoyed the game, but I do have two main issues with it.

First, in its gameplay LL leans strongly towards exploration and climbing rather than fast-paced action, which is a trend set in the original U4, and a trend I don't fully appreciate. While I did like the small sandbox area which is basically your Madagascar level from Uncharted 4 but slightly bigger, the overall pacing was too slow for me, even if it did pick up in the last quarter of the game. LL is now more classic Tomb Raider than the recent Rise of the Tomb Raider. It's also worth mentioning that gameplay-wise there is absolutely nothing new here, but that's forgivable as it's a standalone DLC.

Secondly, I am not at all impressed by the game's characters. I do believe that there can be an Uncharted game without Nathan Drake, but what I saw here just doesn't cut it. Chloe herself with her cheap family drama and a sudden morality boost in the end is unconvincing. Nadine Ross wasn't my favorite character in the base game, and neither she is here. Her quick turn from a villain to a trustworthy sidekick is something out of a Fast & Furious movie with Jason Statham, and that's obviously not a compliment. Their in-game banter and chemistry also isn't nearly as engaging as that of Nate and Sully. And finally, spoiler alert, Sam Drake. I thought him to be an unnecessary and implausible addition to the story in U4 and the weakest side character of the franchise, but here he is just reduced to a simple comic relief, a goof who is openly mocked, patronized and even hit by the main female duo. And this female dominance SJW theme shows firmly throughout the game, with there even being dialogue along the lines of "Ah, so glad to finally work with a woman.". Or Ross sharing how she broke both legs of a man who wanted to back out of a deal because she was female, with her and Chloe laughing about it lightheartedly. I respect Naughty Dog, but I also sincerely hope that its head Neil Druckmann would stop shoving his cuck agenda in their games.

So, to sum up, it's more of Uncharted 4, but with worse writing than before. It took me 6 hours 44 minutes to beat it, according to the statistics, and I did take my time with the side tokens and some treasure hunting, so the game is pretty short for its base price tag of 40$. It's currently 50% off on the Black Friday sale, so this might be a good time to get it.

Another solid entry from Naughty Dog, even without Nathan Drake. Everything is high quality and cinematic. Visuals are beautiful. Character movement is fluid and lifelike from facial expressions to overall movement. Controls are intuitive. Voice acting is simply the best, and the story is decent if somewhat simplistic. The campaign is not that long, but worth every penny.

If you're looking for a shooter, you should probably look elsewhere. While the combat mechanics are just fine, this is a game about story and puzzles first. Guns and killing second. As with other Naughty Dog entries, this is essentially an action movie, complete with set pieces and staged sequences that are stellar. But if you're not interested in narrative, dialogue and feeling like you're in a film, go play Call of Duty or whatever.

Comparisons to Lara Croft are inevitable and only prove that there are too few video game protagonists that are strong female leads. I would argue that the new Tomb Raider games borrow more from Uncharted than the flip. But it's hard for any game not to have elements of others without completely reinventing the controls and gameplay rulebook. An appearance by Sam Drake later in the game adds the only real male element other than the bad guys, and he's really not at all necessary to the plot.

    Highly recommended.

Wonderful landscapes, towering monuments, hidden cities, puzzles, animations, voice acting, artwork - all of which masterfully done. Game has some re playability and I intend to finish it at least two more times so for money I paid for it I consider it to be tremendous value for money. You embark on the journey to find legendary indian artifact. Both Chloe and Nadine's motives are different but interest are more or less aligned which made them team up on this quest.

For starters, I am a big fan of standalone DLC. Games need not be so bloated. Short games like this are a good reminder of that. My playthrough was almost 6 hours, and I mean that as a compliment.

For finishers, the essential guts of Uncharted are there. The characters have their little jokes and asides, the game has lots of climbing and puzzle solving, and you get to gun down dozens of men (they were all bad).

My one nitpick is the how the fights go. Enemies pop up in all sorts of places. Some wear heavy armor (in a jungle?) and some have laser sighted sniper rifles. You even have a few vehicles to take down. Levels needed a little more attention to stealth and less attention to emptying magazines into enemy after enemy. The last chapter of the game has redeeming qualities, combining the best of the driving, climbing, and train segments of the Uncharted Franchise.

All in all, this is a quality adventure to make you free time more enjoyable. Full disclosure, I downloaded this via PlayStation Plus twice, once as the PS4 version on the old PS+ and once as the enhanced PS5 version on PS+ extra.

Everything you liked about the previous games is here. Cloe is a great main character in the game. She is almost the same adventurous and talkative type of person as Nathan in the previous installments. Nadine even makes a joke about that at some point.
The game takes place in India and it makes heavy use of this country's beautiful landscapes, history, and culture. And one thing that is done so much better than in any previous game are the puzzles. Indian temples in this game are full of deadly traps and puzzles. Lost Legacy feels more "Tomb Raider" than modern Tomb Raider games.
The gameplay stayed pretty much untouched. The developers tried to open up the game world even a little more than in Thief's End, but it didn't turn out so well as the game is much shorter and does not need so long break from the action.
Nevertheless, Uncharted: Lost Legacy is another great Uncharted game and I believe that its main problem is that it was released so soon after Uncharted 4. The bar was just too high.

It’s not a full priced game and in my opinion, I absolutely think its worth the $40. Of course, as I said. It’s hard for me to stay biased because it’s Uncharted and I just love this franchise.

In the Lost Legacy, it doesn’t have franchise icon Nathan Drake which is a bold move. Nathan Drake is definitely one of the major faces of PlayStation and his face alone sells games. It’s kind of like Nintendo making A Legend of Zelda game but without Link.

Instead of the game being about Nathan Drake, The Lost Legacy is about Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. Some people were very excited about Chloe, I was never that excited about the game having her as the protagonist. It’s not that I didn’t like her, I always felt like Elena was the better fit for Nathan Drake.

Even though in Uncharted 4, Nadine was necessarily on the “good” side. I still liked her as a character. Any character that has the ability to take on both Drake brothers (Nathan and Sam) and win easily. She is a certifiable bad ass.

So the two set out on an adventure across India to find an Ancient Indian artifact. The premise and the story are all very Uncharted-like. There is character development with Chloe, Nadine, and their relationship together. The two start out, not really liking one another but as the game progresses you really see that relationship grow.

I’m not going to spoil, the games big reveal but there is a surprise character that’s brought back from the previous games. I really ended up liking this character a lot more, Naughty Dog did a great job of making this prior character much more likable. Plus they really provide some great comic relief. It’s not necessarily, hilarious but it has that Marvel Cinematic Universe humor. Its action packed experience with a little bit of humor sprinkled in.

For personally, this was a must buy. I really enjoyed my time with the game and really my only complaint is that it’s too short. I know a lot of people will disagree with me and they’re happy with the length.

Unambiguously a game it turned out excellent. Ridiculously after that to look at Shadow of the Tomb Raider which gameplay turned out several times worse. Expand

Technically speaking, this is an upgrade from UC4, the graphics are just abit crisper, the gameplay is further refined with a photo mode and I feel like melee combat was a bit better, but it's 95+% the same. The greatest change, and best change, made was in the middle of the game there's a pseudo open-world section, wherein instead of the linear path like most Uncharted chapters, you have the option of where to go next and side mini-ruins you can explore. I wouldn't want the entire game like it, but it was fun.

Storywise, it's a bit weaker. It's shorter than any main Uncharted, and as a side game it can't rely on the rich backstory of UC1-4. Not that it's bad, but Chloe and Nadine never leant themselves to be endearing to the player in past games, and now we're forced to sympathize and care for them more. It does accomplish this, but I care more about Nathan's story and history, it being deeper and having far more to it.

That being said, Lost Legacy is certainly worth playing by any Uncharted fan. It's fairly short, a fun game, and who doesn't want more Uncharted?

It's a shame it's not on the PC where it could be run in a real frame-rate at a real resolution because otherwise it would be the most graphically impressive game ever. We'll just have to wait for the rumored Shadow of the Tomb Raider until we get something better on PC.

I'm not a fan of the combat and stealth of Uncharted, but fortunately this game keeps that to a minimum. Most of the game is the adventure parts of it, where you'll be scaling massive ancient Indian structures. There is an open-world part early on, although unfortunately it's just a pretty boring scavenger hunt. When the game is good, though, it's really good. The last chapter where you're chasing a train is pretty epic, though it can't compete with the best action sequences of Uncharted 4.

The character of Nadine has been pretty controversial since she was obviously thrown into Uncharted 4 to appease the likes of people like Anita Sarkeesian. In this game, though, they give her some actual character development and humanity which makes her seem like more than just an attempt to throw in "diversity". I also did like Chloe in this game, and an old friend returns from the previous games. The main villain is awesome too. The plot is a pretty standard Indiana Jones-style treasure hunter story, but it gets the job done.

The games is about 5 hours long if you're good at games, and about 8 hours long if you're like me. It's priced at $40, but I'd recommend renting it for $3 from Red Box or something since it's over very soon. And unlike Rise of the Tomb Raider which had a lot of replay value, plus an end-game, there is very little reason to play it a second time. If they make another Uncharted game, they need to take a lesson from Rise of the Tomb Raider on how to give you more incentive to keep playing the game. I've put 70 hours into Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC, but I've never beaten the Uncharted games more than once.

All in all, it's a must-rent game, but until Naughty Dog starts giving their games replay value, there's no reason to pay full price for it.

Graphically, Lost Legacy looks even more gorgeous than part 4. It also has tougher puzzles and adds a phone camera, locked boxes and a silenced pistol. However, the biggest addition is an open-world chapter that contains various scattered coins. If you find them all, you unlock a bracelet that chimes when you're near a hidden treasure chest. Lost Legacy may not last long, but it's terrific. I would rate this with a 9 out of 10.

Quickly after that initial "wow" moment however the story began to drag/slow down a bit and i began to worry if there really couldn't be an uncharted game without Nathen Drake. I was wrong. Ever so sightly i started liking the characters more and more. Without spoiling anything seeing them evolve as they tracked down this treasure was what kept me playing. The game in my opinion reached its peak when a third character was brought into the mix. Its ashame this was done pretty close to the end as this is when the story was at its best. All this boiled up to what i consider to be one of the best video game endings i've ever played.

Why this isn't a 10/10 for me is because of some minor frustrating things that lessened my playing experience. Theres a open world part that feels unneeded and empty along with alot of moments where i thought i was suppose to jump somewhere only to die or fall back to the ground and have to climb up again. When fighting a boss character the dodge button gets changed from triangle to circle and doesn't seem to work well anyway. These are just minor flaws however that only briefly annoyed me.

My final rating of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a 8/10
I'd recommend waiting for a sale if buying only for the campaign which i finished in 7.5 hours.

This game succeeded. The graphics and attention to detail is flawless. Facial animation and lighting are perfect and I've never seen a game look so well even though i would have expected this from ND. The game-play from Uncharted 4 has been mostly untouched with a few improvements. Of course the shooting, stealth, hand to hand combat is great, but a lot of other things have been added or improved. Their is a lot more freedom and exploration in this game and a lot of things to explore and discover that aren't apart of the main story. Treasure hunting feels more fun this way by finding caves and caverns and knowing you will find something. Lock picking has been added which is a fun mechanic and the silenced pistol returned but the biggest change is that they basically removed crate pushing which dramatically affected pacing in Uncharted 4. However it is not present here. The puzzles, climbing, and set pieces are all here and what you would expect from Uncharted. The story is pretty generic and nothing new but not bad by any means. The villain is intimidating, the character development with Chloe and Nadine is amazing so it makes up for the standard story. This game also really shows a lot about Indian and Hindu culture and it was very entertaining. The gameplay returns in all of it's incredible fashion just like uncharted 4. The antagonist, does not feature a great deal but the encounters that the pair have with him are fun and exciting interchanges.

The only con for me of this game is that it is a little short which is why I cannot give it a 10/10. Racking in at 5 hours to finish.

I played the game in Jan 2019 and bought it on sale for $9.99 because I missed the adventure I had in 2016 and before. This turned out to be very good decision. If you play this game right after finishing the Uncharted 4, it may feel repetitive and cliche. However, if you are like me, miss the adrenaline rush from uncharted series, you definitely should play this one.
    Lost Legacy is more

Lost Legacy is more focused on puzzle solving and treasure findings. The masterful set pieces did not appoint. My buddy and I had to pause the gameplay many times to appreciate how beautiful the world is. The magnificent scale simply squeezed wows after wows from us. The higher resolution and HDR on the pro model are great additions.
7-9 hours of play time is great for me. I finished the game in one day, which is incredibly satisfying. I highly recommend it if you hunger for one fun, bold, memorable and beautiful adventure!

All of this is to be expected from such a talented studio such as Naughty Dog. The story is well written and the development of the bond between the main characters Chloe and Nadine, while basic is very effective. The story is not as complex or intriguing as Uncharted 4, but it is a classic fun treasure hunt. The characters are great and the villain while very intimidating, has very complex motives that never quite stuck with me in my play through. The story has turns, dark moments, and lighter humorous ones. The game-play is more or less the same as Uncharted 4, which is basically saying it is near perfect. The puzzles are great and plentiful, the platforming is fun, and shootouts are fantastic. It does however retread some moments from previous games and can feel very reminiscent of Uncharted 2. It has a greater emphasis on exploration but other than that does not have much new to it. Overall the same Uncharted we have seen before. While many parts of this game are basic it works and was a memorable experience throughout. Expand

Para ser un juego menor he independiente no esta nada mal, es un juego de uncharted mas con todo lo que ello implica, eso si, mas cercano a uncharted 4 que ha uncharted 2 y 3, es decir mas centrado en la exploración y la narración que en la acción.

Lost Legacy is not as exciting as Uncharted 4, a whole lot shorter than Uncharted 4, and yet still fun and visually jaw-dropping like Uncharted 4.

Female protagonist done right. Fun, fast paced, no virtue signaling. Companies have to do the female empowerment thing in current year. At least Naughty Dog wasn't obnoxious about it.
A little short but hey, its a game where you wish it would go on for a bit. Unlike so many other games where you are happy its over.

If you have $20 and like the Uncharted games, you're missing out if you haven't played Lost Legacy. For being a shorter game with only a 6-8 hour long story, you get a full game experience out of this package. Chloe is an amazing character in this series and putting her at the helm was a fantastic choice. This was another fantastic journey from Naughty Dog, and I'm so glad I played it.

Although half the length of Uncharted 4, 'The Lost Legacy' features less cinematics, more puzzles and a better balance between combat and platforming. The game is also less linear. Very solid game that has a plot no worse than original Uncharted 4. Had a lot of fun playing it and will recommend. Game looked perfect remastered for PS5.

Lost Legacy is a masterpiece, I love Uncharted 4 too but I was glad to know that Chloe will be the new protagonist because she's more sympathetic than Nate Drake for me. I love the combat systems & stealth kills, all the environments are truly immersive, beautiful and varied. The best puzzles are the best considering every Uncharted games.

I am impressed that Naughty Dog managed to develop a slightly scaled down Uncharted game (without Nathan Drake) in about a year. This game is basically Uncharted 4.5, but is surprisingly lengthy and stands on its own mainly due to a likable cast. Chloe is carefree and charismatic, while Nadine is tough and serious, creating an interesting dynamic between them.

Gameplay includes the usual puzzle solving, platforming, and gunfights. Similar to Uncharted 4, this game includes a mini open world and even has an engaging side quest. I was not a fan of the gunfights this time around, however. You can avoid most of them by being stealthy, but getting caught seems inevitable. The weapons are great, but environments felt too cluttered and enemies seemed to always have an angle on me. I specifically recall a group spawning behind me during the second phase of a fight. Thankfully, there are not too many gunfights and everything else is great.

This series usually has epic moments with close calls and near death experiences. This entry is no exception. It feels like an over the top action movie, with moments so unbelievable and unrealistic, it’s actually captivating. This was originally supposed to be DLC for Uncharted 4, but it turned into a stand-alone experience (no need to own U4) and includes that game’s multiplayer, which is a fast-paced, unique, and fun experience itself. This is a very solid package overall and a worthy entry to the series.

Target enemy's with L3. This makes or breaks the game really. The game starts rough but gets much better. Puzzles are perfectly difficult. Check out all the options in camera mode!!! It's amazing!!! Not finished with game and already want to play again. Like other Uncharted it's not very long but it's not like a dlc like many say.

The game is spectacular and beautiful, like the fourth part. True, you will not find anything new in it.
The story is not very interesting. But before, none of the parts of "UNCHARTED" had any particularly interesting stories. The main thing has always been a spectacular adventure.
But play in "THE LOST LEGACY" is pretty fun.

Naughty Dog, as always, making very good narratives. Beautiful graphics, good story and immersion. However, there is nothing very innovative in gameplay aspects. Anyway, I very much hope that you will explore the uncharted universe again.

Despite the poor narrative, there is some fun to be had throughout the 9 or so hours it’ll take you to beat Lost Legacy. While it’s definitely not the globe-trotting adventure of a full, numbered Uncharted, this expansion has a few great moments of its own.

The Lost Legacy is a great, breathtakingly beautiful action adventure game and its only substantial weakness is that it fails to reach the stellar level of A Thief’s End while heavily relying on old tricks. [11/2017, p.60]

The Lost Legacy is not as great as a real new part in the Uncharted series, but as an insanely expansive stand-alone DLC it's more than successful. We will always miss Nathan Drak, but hopefully Uncharted will continue in this form for a long, long time.
