May 26, 2014Transistor certainly is a beautiful piece of art, but also a very good fun to play.
Nothing is left behind, from art to the gameplay, everything is amazing. -

May 29, 2014Despite the game's brevity and slightly confusing and underdeveloped plot, the gameplay is deep and rewarding, the presentation and design are fantastic, and the game is thoroughly engaging from start to finish.
-
May 27, 2014Transistor is a very good game just like the Bastion was, it's almost the same formula, good story+ terrific OST, who liked the previous game of this team, that will love this as well
-
Jun 13, 2014It's actually a really good indie game that keeps you coming back for more. Very colorful board. Action RPG game. The indie games are becoming a better market than the big name commercial games. Worth the buy.

Feb 8, 2015Its a game that, after about 15 minutes play, you realise its as much art as game.
In that sense its up there with the Bayonetta, Skyrim, Minecraft and other games that make you realise how important music and voice acting are to a game. -

Jun 27, 2014Very different from other games. Diablo mixed with a little bit of Disgaea mixed with gorgeous art and music. Very saddening story though. Right in the feels.
-
May 26, 2014This game is so...so...so...deep and have a unique beauty when Red mutters beautiful songs... The combat is impressive with more then 4000 styles... there's no reason to not buy this amazing masterpiece game.

Aug 25, 2014A vibrant, yet empty, world with a compelling story really drives the game along with some unique combat mechanics. The soundtrack fits well into the tone of the game and is worth a listen on its own. The rpg elements are well designed, allowing for experimentation until you find what works for you.

Feb 10, 2015Transistor is a very aesthetically pleasing game. The story slowly unveils as you progress through the game, and as you near the end, you feel more and more motivated to keep going.
The landscape, soundtrack and story are all amazing and really helps immerse the player.
I give this game a 7 because the combat becomes quite repetitive and feels like a chore towards the end. -

May 21, 2014This game was perfect. From the narration to the artwork, soundtrack, gameplay, etc... I was completely immersed throughout the campaign. The game is beautiful, aesthetically, although has somewhat of a dark tone, and the two balance wonderfully to create a truly unique experience. I highly recommend this to anyone!

May 24, 2014One of the best games I have played this generation. The game world is beautiful and full of mysteries. The soundtrack and art style complement it well. The gameplay is superb as well, with lots of depth and strategy. This is a must have for PS4 owners.

Aug 19, 2014This is game is amazing the gameplay was very colored and had amazing visuals, the controls were easy to learn and were quite smooth, the music was beautiful and colored I just couldn't not love it, and last but not least the commentary from transistor was quite enjoyable, it could be hilarious and sad and you became really connected. This game is phenomenal buy it- Quag_with_Class

Nov 11, 2015I bought the soundtrack for this game. I never buy the soundtrack for games. That's how good the soundtrack is.
Oh yeah, and the game's good as well. -

May 22, 2014The game is very beautiful, the soundtrack is awesome, the narrator is thrilling, it looks and sounds great, but after playing 30 mins I still have no idea what this is about, the battles seem random, I mean I am just randomly using the powers I have winning most fights... It doesn't feel like wanting to play anymore than that...

Nov 6, 2015Very interesting game with very interesting aesthetics. It's fun as a strategy turn-based RPG and also fun as an action game. There isn't an overwhelming amount of content, which means you can complete the game relatively fast, but it's a fine experience while it lasts.
-
Mar 30, 2015Quite simply not my cup of tea. Got it via PS+ would never have played it if it hadn't been free. Reviewers have been raving about it, believe it or not I can actually see why.... if you were into this type of game.

May 28, 2015When i first started Transistor i really didn't see it to be that good. The next time i played it i started to understand the game, the art, the overall tone and i am stuck in love with this game. Some parts are very sad ans others are fun and weird, like bouncing a beach ball 345 times. Transistor is a cool game that people should really give a shot to

Nov 18, 2014this is by far the best indie game I bought this year from the soundtrack to the art style it really captures and holds my attention although this is just my opinion minus a few combat frustrations I can say that I dont regret my purchase

Apr 22, 2015This game is fantastic. The battle system is one of the best I've seen, the visuals are great, voice acting is excelent, the soundtrack is perfect. The only thing that could be improved in this game is add some extras to extend playtime.
It's a must have for PS4. -

Dec 14, 2015I loved everything about this game, from the voice acting, the music, the pacing, the history. The gameplay is deep and it gets very challenging on replay (haven't beat it for the second time yet). While some may say the storytelling is strange and unconventional, I found this part of the charm.
The only negative point is the below average duration. -

Apr 13, 2016The soundtrack to this game is terrific, the combat is repetitive. It really is just a mobile app and probably shouldn't pretend to be much else. It's not a bad game, it was fun at times. The story is just okay, but confusing at times. Game was also a bit short. Buy it on the cheap and you will feel good about it.

Jan 14, 2015A gorgeous, unique game from the geniuses that brought us Bastion. It’s hard not to compare Transistor to Bastion, as the overall feel of the game is similar. But the unique mechanics like freezing time and assortment of abilities set it apart. While I didn’t quite like the music and story as much as Bastion, I had a good time. The ending is also surprising. Definitely worth playing.

Sep 21, 2014Inspired. Funny. Magical. I love RPGs and this one it's pure art. Set in a cyberpunk distant future, you'll be Red, young voiceless singer trying to escape the cloud bank city with the transistor : a hyper tec-blade who preserv the digital copy of the mind who blaze.
What else? Oh, perfect combat style and hight replay possibility.

Mar 7, 2015Transistor is simply amazing. I like how you start the game having no idea of what's going on and you slowly learn more about the story, which was also pretty interesting. The combat system is great! What I didn't like was the fact that you can't finish everything unless you play it again. But overall, the game is awesome!

Mar 5, 2015A truly engrossing game that should not be missed. Great graphics and haunting music that set the scene for captivating game and story. The gameplay is solid with many weapon combinations at your disposal.
Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. It is games like this that make gaming enjoyable and worthwhile.
A great RPG by any standard. Jump in to the transistor world. -
Mar 8, 2015Amazing game with one of the best soundtracks and narrators. One of my favorite games available this generation. Great progression and rewarding. Definitely a must play game.

Jun 20, 2017Good:
-Music. Like, seriously. She's a singer and she good
-Art Style is beautiful
-Battle system and abilities are good, pretty much one of a kind. They also play well into the enviroment.
Bad:
-After a while, some of the battles can feel like a chore
-The illusion of choice -
Aug 7, 2015Very different RPG tons of fun and interesting story the gameplay is very additive the game isn't super long but has a new game+ also a very easy plat and great game what more could you ask for.

Oct 11, 2020Its just one of these games. For me a masterpiece so 10 obviously. Maybe a 9 if i were a bit more objective.
Great soundtrack & visuals. Nice story and characters. Really nice combat. As allways with Super Giant Games, it has something unique to it. Its just better then the sum of its part. At least in my opinion. -
Jul 31, 2023Transistor really enjoyed playing this game , a beautiful sountrack combat was intense and fun only downside that I found is it is a very short game but understandable. Recommend to play!
