    The gameplay of this game is really good, had an amazing improvement, but the story isn't nice and neither the ending. ND could have done a better job with the story.

    Visualmente y gameplay es asombroso, cuenta una historia muy oscura y triste de venganza que te hace reflexionar y no te deja con una satisfacción al terminarlo como otros juegos con final feliz. Es una muy arriesgada pero valorable apuesta en comparación con lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver en los vídeos juegos.

Para empezar este juego prácticamente tiene una pésima historia, es como escupir a la cara a la gente que ama este título por su parte 1 la cual es mil veces mejor en comparación de esta, los personajes no aportan nada y el tener que usar a abby por más de 8 horas de juego me parece una basura, a nadie le interesa jugar con abby, su historia no tiene sentido agarraron a un simple npc del primer juego para hacer esta historia en serio que se nota la falta de creatividad, además que decir de la publicidad engañosa, eso sí que está fatal, nos ponen a Joel en los trailers mostrándonos que estará en el juego solo para así llegar a poder vender más este, y resulta que lo modifican todo y las únicas escenas de el son flashbacks, esto me parece muy sucio de parte de ND ya que están engañando descaradamente a los fans de este juego, esto es para que practicamente te regresen tu dinero jajajaj.
    Pero en fin no puedo negar que tanto gráficamente el juego es bueno, las actuaciones igual, la ambientación y la banda sonora me parecen buenas, pero la gente no está aquí por eso, es por la historia, eso es lo que le faltó a este título, eh ahí el TLOU 1 no tiene unos gráficos espectaculares pero la historia es una maravilla.

    I will cut to the chase, as the other reviews may have already told you that -

    If you consider yourself a "The Last of Us" fan - you should just walk away from this game. Keep on with your life and pretend this abomination never came out. If you loved the plot and story of "The Last of Us" - there was never a sequel.

    There's a lot to say about this game but I'll be brief.

    This game had the potential to be 10/10. There were gameplay elements and visuals that would have been stunning if I wasn't so frustrated, angry and despondent.

    The marketing of a game hasn't been so misleading since metal gear solid 2.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hands down, for me, the best game I have ever played. To call this a game is actually far from doing in credit. It's a story, a movie if you will, that lets you play the key characters pitted against each other. You're shown hate, the cost of revenge and the compulsion the characters have that costs so much.

    I was shown through game play what each character's motivation is, what they faced and how they grew up not too dissimilar but ended up miles apart.

    At first I questioned some of the decisions that were made in telling this story but I relaxed and let it happen as I was escorted through feelings of love, hatred, jealousy, bigotry, mindless war, genocide and morality.

    I left amazed, almost numb at the story that was told. Such a beautiful well designed story told via a "game".

    If you play this game please be open minded, let it lead you and enjoy the trip and ponder the choices you're thrust into and see how they make you feel. This is not a game where you just run around and blow stuff up, it's a game that fills in a character's story, colors between the lines and sometimes outside of them, but for a story that is about the end of the world, the destruction of humanity and self and the struggle to remain human and just in the face of nothing pleasant - my god they delivered a knockout.

    At the end, when Ellie forced the fight with Abby who had been clearly broken by what she when through and her devotion to someone else (something that Ellie ended up losing) was just amazing. I literally told myself at one point in the fight that if it tells me to fight more I won't hit the button - amazing that the story moved me from hating Abby to understanding her, feeling disbelief and sorrow at Ellie and her choices.

    I hope they continue the story, maybe this time continue with Abby to see what the Fireflies are capable of again and if Ellie deteriorates further into self destruction.

    My hat is off to you Naughty Dog - amazing work.    … Expand

    TLOU Part 2 is a very polished game with fantastic visuals and presentation. I was absolutely awed by all the little details and couldn't believe that it was running on my PS4 Slim.

    However, the game eventually gets to a point where it's story is terribly annoying to me, the player, that it is hard to treat it seriously even with how great the game looks and feel. As many know, the    TLOU Part 2 is a very polished game with fantastic visuals and presentation.     However, the game eventually gets to a point where it's story is terribly annoying to me, the player, that it is hard to treat it seriously even with how great the game looks and feel.

    As many know, the game badly represents it's established characters. Players will question the actions of the characters and it is hard to believe that the same characters that the players knew will do what they do in Part 2.

    Some (including Druckmann himself) will try to argue that these characters are not out of character at all, and that the time skip to Part 2 has changed them. But it sounds like a pretty weak argument to me. The game does not attempt to show or hint you on the changes to any of these characters. Why should the players study into something not shown or hinted to them and speculate a reason that could never be confirmed (unless through a DLC) to justify a questionable action in the game?

    Not to mention that Druckmann eventually fires at the players for thinking that they understand the character more than him when they don't, which is such a cheap shot. If the character development was not shown in the game and the writer(s) has to clarify it during an interview, this is just a failure in storytelling on their part.

    Next big issue. You play as another character named Abby for almost half of the game. I really don't think this should be considered a spoiler since shes almost like a secondary protagonist. The general idea of playing as Abby is that the game wants you to like her as a character and sets you off on a journey similar to that of TLOU 1.

    The issue with this experience is that it feels extremely forced and there does not seem to be a clear direction with this. A good half of Abby's part is almost pointless to the overarching story that people are interested in, other than, look, she has friendly friends and do everyday people good things. The other half involves her going on a journey while caring for younger and vulnerable people like how Joel's relationship to Ellie in the first game.

    However, this journey was so poorly executed that it becomes apparent that the game is trying to get you to like her. In the first game, we understand that Joel has a hardened personality because of his daughter's death and his journey with Ellie helped him to break out of his shell and allowed him to accept and face his past. This is likely why we liked him, as we see him go through these development with Ellie, and it rarely feels like the game is trying to force us to like Joel.

    Abby's journey on the other hand feels meaningless. She is pretty much the same character before and after the journey. Her journey started on the premise that, "They saved me, so I have to save them", which doesn't say much about her character, she could have been like this the whole time. Eventually she continues to care for the younger character simply because they both has nowhere else to go.

    Asides from the poor execution of the journey. Abby also makes very questionable and unlikable decisions in the game. So it feels like the game wants you to like her, but at the same time, the writers don't seem to understand what is unlikable, or that they overestimated how players would have overlooked those actions.

    Overall, it really seems like something that was written on a whim with little care to the story details.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is overall a great game, and I agree with everyone who says that the story is not better than the original. The first game was more self contained and its story was told in a more cohesive way. That being said, Part 2 expands on everything, improves where it must, and delivers an amazing experience whether you agree or disagree with it's key points.

    Joel dying is not wrong. Him trusting strangers is not wrong based on the assumption that he's been re-educating himself to trust strangers that surround Jackson, welcome and shelter them is part of what the whole community is based upon.

    Abby's side of the story is compelling, but I agree with the fact that it might drag a little bit more than necessary. However, you grow to UNDERSTAND her side of the story, and the game doesn't ever force you to like her, the game knows that you know what she did and doesn't intend to dictate how you see her by the end of her section or the game itself. You can absolutely hate her by the end as well, and even if you do that, you're still within the spectrum intended by the storytellers.

    Ellie is great, and she's not mono-dimensional. At the beginning she really has lost purpose, because she knows that her immunity will not amount to anything because Joel took that away from her. The death of her only father figure gives her a new purpose, which is vengeance. However, the game shows you the path of vengeance, how little by little you can be consumed by anger and rage, and thirst for revenge. She's mostly angry at herself for not being able to set aside her disdain for Joel in time and have more time with him, angry for not being strong/smart enough to help him on his last moments. She then gets a second chance with Dina and JJ, and she's still hasn't broken the cycle of violence and vengeance, and feels that the only way to overcome those feelings is by killing the person who set these events in motion, ignoring that in the end, it was Joel himself who set them at the end of Part 1.

    The secondary characters offer development for Ellie and Abby, especially the latter, who we've never met. This is where most people have issues: feeling that spending time with Abby was unnecessary, or dragged; and while I mildly agree with the dragging part, I feel that it was needed for the story that we knew who Abby was and what her life was before and after Joel killed his father.

    At the end, whether you hate Abby or not, whether you agree with Ellie letting Abby and Lev go or not, Joel and Tommy appealing naive in front of Abby and her friends or not; you can't deny that the game told its story, and told it well for the most part. Even if you didn't even like the game to its core, the decisions made by the developers are justified, and they pay off by evoking conversation and emotion from the player.

Joel’s death is not the problem, everyone knew that was something’s about to happen, but no one was expecting Naughty dog was really going to make him look like an idiot. It doesnt make sense at all considerating him a clever and sceptical man in Part I. It was like “hey my name is joel and he’s Tommy, we live over there and my password is 1234”... really dissapointed... They could’ve written a better way to kill Joel using THE SAME shocking scene, but come on, just remember he even tried to killed ellie at part1 when he saw her arm and Tess pressed him to trust in that little girl... that joel was not the real one everyone played with...… Expand

    Сюжет слаб, ничего не понятно, я не против бесполезных бойцов бесполезности, но проебать сюжет, слабо описать героев, обосрать наследие 13 года.Повествование рваное, никто ни на что не влияет, выбора нет.     This game is absolutley amazing. I trully believe that all this hate is only “justified” by the ignorance of those who played it... they were so blinded by the desire of revenge, that they weren’t able too see the beautifull message about self-growth, redemption and forgiveness.
    Please, go and read Neil Druckmann’s letter before playing, and play with an open mind.

But, as this game is carried Heavily by the story elements, and because those elements were so trash, I HATED this game. There were a few moments I enjoyed it.     i feel a lot of the criticism seems to be very general and unfounded. i was disappointed to see review bombs at release. i personally loved the game, especially the story. Naughty Dog did a great job making the story larger than just Ellie and Joel, and showed that there are consequences to their actions.

    Game story is terrible, best known game for its storytelling and it’s complete failure, they tried smth different turned out garbage, main character death is forced and done for shock value, ending is bad, for new playable character lack of sympathy, Ellie’s love story is not shown much, would be great if it was more, feels like lacking chemistry between her and Dina. Joel gone as a protector and Ellie growing up its missing last of us 1 formula, which was loved because of that by millions of people around the world, u sympathize characters and relationship development is beautifully done, this whole dynamic is lost here. I understand if main character has to go but like that, its BS, treated Joel like crap and it happens literally in first 2 hours of the game, so early and then u play after that 20 hours, wooow, forcing yourself playing as Joel’s killer Abby and trying to sympathize her, nobody cares. A great example how beloved character goes away is in Walking Dead season one, where Lee dies by the end of the game defending Clementine, thats a great way to go, but here its delivered stupidly for shock value and doesn’t make sense. Lot of inconsistencies Joel and Tommy being portrayed as dumb bricks giving there names and surrounding themselves with complete strangers locked in room, that would never happen, knowing from last of us 1 Joel having all those survival skills, he would never put himself in that kinda situation. Ellie’s vengeance road is what makes u play game but before ending which sucks, all characters u kill no back-story, completely forgettable, and story as a whole garbage, but hey what i know, to appreciate the game u need to have high iq to understand its themes and messages lol

    I'll start this review out by saying I didn't enjoy the gameplay of The Last of Us 1 very much. Zombies are a very overused and drawn out horror trope and the first game didn't really do anything to make the gameplay stand out very much in terms of survival third person shooter games. The one thing that honestly carried the sub par experience in my opinion was the story. Unfortunately,I'll start this review out by saying I didn't enjoy the gameplay of The Last of Us 1 very much. Zombies are a very overused and drawn out horror trope and the first game didn't really do anything to make the gameplay stand out very much in terms of survival third person shooter games. The one thing that honestly carried the sub par experience in my opinion was the story. Unfortunately, this game drops the ball with both aspects. The gameplay isn't changed much aside from things that make it annoying, like human enemies having invincibility frames when they melee attack you and new zombie types that are uninspired and even more annoying to deal with than the normal zombies. The stealth gameplay is literally the same as it was in the first game except now stealth areas are in front of loading doors that make you do a prompt for 10 seconds or so to open a door that has some debris in the way or something. It's also a little too hard in my opinion, I don't consider myself to be particularly bad at stealth games, and I was playing the game on normal difficulty, but I kept finding myself getting discovered during almost every stealth section because of how densely packed the areas are with enemies. The gunplay is fine, and I didn't really mind it much but it's not anything special either. Every time a zombie section came around I audibly groaned because I loathed them so much. The zombies are not fun to fight in this game, especially because the clickers still one hit kill you, which I found to be annoying and cheap in the first game, and the others will grapple you which forces you to preform a quick time event to escape while your health steadily drains. I was really relying on the story to at least be somewhat close to the quality the original had, but to no avail. None of the newly introduced characters in this game are likable aside from Yara and Lev. Every other character essentially has 2 personality traits that they cling to like glue. Abby falls into this as well and essentially goes from very unlikable to somewhat unlikable throughout the course of the game. Decisions that previously established characters make in this game made me roll my eyes because they were so sudden and out of character. The game also tries its absolute hardest to make you feel bad for the actions you preform throughout the story but with such unlikable characters and them trying so very hard to make the player feel bad it just doesn't work out. I essentially enjoyed three sections of this game and that's about it. The rest was just a gray puddle of indifference in my mind. The graphics are really beautiful though, I guess I can give the developers that. This is a pretty game for sure. Overall though there's not very many things I can say I enjoyed about this game without getting into spoilers. Very disappointing sequel and I can see why so many people are upset with it.… Expand

    I played the Last of Us 4 times since the release, and I absolutely loved the game from game mechanics to the story. The first game wasn't really light in terms of story, but the second one definitely has a lot heavier subject, and it was really emotionally hard to play it especially towards the end.     It's a good game, perfect graphics, very responsive and fun gameplay (half dragged after half), characters (some become totally inconsistent because the story demands ...) ok, the story is ok too (the confusing order and the pace kind of dragged don't help much).

    Anyway it's a good game I don't regret playing it (maybe I wouldn't have paid the launch price but it's worth it), as someone who really enjoyed the first game is a shame the event in history    … Expand

After playing the first game on ps3, than multiple times after on PS4, I was so excited for this game. I had only seen a few trailers, and got spoiled on absolutely nothing for the game. After finishing it a few minutes ago, I wish I had gotten spoiled. I could’ve saved myself many hours of frustration and disappointment and 60 dollars. Obviously, the gameplay, graphics, level and sound design are great, but the story is atrocious. The massive disrespect to Joel, the extremely bad pacing and dynamic between Joel and Ellie in this game, the villain, who we are made to play as for at least 10 hours who they clearly want us to sympathize with, but is one of the most unsympathetic characters I’ve ever seen in anything. This story is just down right stupid. Please I beg you anyone reading this, for anyone who hasn’t played this yet and loved The last of us and the amazing Left Behind DLC like I did, do not buy this game. This game is a gigantic slap in the face to most fans of the first game. I can honestly say, I don’t dislike this game, I absolutely hate it with all my heart.… Expand

I love my playstation, and i have been using playstation brand for almost 20 years and of course i love naughty dog for bringing masterpiece games for playstation users for a decade. I dont know how many times i have finished last of us part 1. I bought it for both ps3 and ps4. Also bought all the uncharteds for both ps3 and for ps4 again. I put this information right here to show that i am in love with what naught dogs make.

    Last of us part 2 is a marvel on technological level. Every minute of it on my screen looked astonishing. Details are over the charts. It might be the most "quality" game ever. I liked the half part of the story too. I love Joel but he had to go. He was a villain in the first game and he still was a villain in the second game. He doomed humanity for his selfish agenda. I thought this story was awesome, but even if you hate the story, the game play is some of the most polished and enthralling you can play today. Anyone who gives this one star isn't being objective.     Let's kill off one of the most beloved main characters from The Last of Us and spend the entire game trying to avenge their death, only to not be able to when the time finally comes.

    It makes you play as the one who killed said character from The Last of Us for five out of the eleven chapters.

    It's a big **** you" to The Last of Us fans.

    I would have at least liked to see some sort of vengeance, but it just leaves this bad aftertaste in your mouth.

    It ruins relationships that were built throughout The Last of Us.

    It shoves LGBTQ+ down your throat, and if you don't like it? You're the problem. You're transphobic, etc.

    I told myself that I would Platinum this game when it comes out. Now? I don't even want to touch it ever again.

    I had some hope that there would be a "happy" ending, but we couldn't even get that.

Remember that it's a story-driven game where you are being shown the story, much like a book or film, and not one where you will get to take it in the direction you wish to see it go.     A nivel de historia nos centraremos en la venganza por acciones que realizo Joel a lo largo de su vida por lo que tarde o temprano se vería algo así, el problema que hay es que existen demasiadas casualidades convenientemente para el desarrollo de la historia, aunque durante el transcurso del juego se nos van dando indicios y pistas de como llegamos a encontrar a Joel. A lo largo del juego tratan de crear empatía con Abby, la antagonista de la historia sin embargo al tratarse de una secuela muchos estarán del lado de Joel y Ellie, además la forma tan chocante en que presenta a Abby hace muy difícil que sintamos algo de simpatía por ella.
    Gráficamente se ve muy bien con paisajes y escenarios gigantescos para que podamos explorar durante un buen tiempo, lo malo que solo ocurre en un par de capítulos y después volveremos al sistema de pasillos en el que debemos seguir en un camino para llegar del punto A al punto B.
    Los personajes carecen del carisma que tenían Joel y Ellie en la primera entrega y se nos presentan una Ellie más adulta y pareciera que más amargada y enojada, olivémonos de frases como “cielos Joel” y esto lo notaremos en un capítulo en el que controlaremos a Ellie más joven con sus bromas hacia Joel y comentarios propios de alguien de 14 años.
    El desenlace de la historio le resta puntos a todo lo que hemos hecho y nos damos cuenta de que no es una historia de venganza sino del perdón y como podemos perlo todo por perseguir un fin tan ruin. Todo esto estaría bien si durante todo el juego no nos la pasemos matando personajes que no tuvieron mucho que ver con la historia de venganza, incluso que gracias a ellos Ellie sigue con vida y el personaje por quien empezamos nuestra masacre decidimos simplemente perdonarle la vida.    … Expand

    The weapons return realistic feedback, even better are the melee encounters, really satisfying!

    Directing, photography, acting and dubbing, to say the least, superative, naughty dog ​​has set new standards for the future of video games.

    Only note for the puzzles, in the long run they are repetitive and predictable. This is truly the only limit for this immense game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There is a saying. “When you’re lost in the darkness, look for the light”. In the first game, there was a light to find. The main point of the story was still an ‘A to B’ story, but done extremely well. The gameplay was serviceable, at best, and enemies were extremely dumb. Where the mastery in the first game lied was it’s story.
    Joel was such a likable protagonist that you were able to get behind anything he did, even his actions at the end, which were ultimately selfish. Ellie was a likable side character that helped Joel open up to people, especially her. She became a surrogate daughter to him, after he lost his own daughter 20 years ago. The game ended on a lie, and Joel did it to keep Ellie safe.

    Fast forward 5 or so years, and things have changed. Ellie’s relationship with Joel is strained, and they barely talk to one another anymore. This makes Joel’s immediate death about an hour or so into the game so goddamn stupid. It’s not even that he died, but the way he died is not only disrespectful but incredibly idiotic. The build up to his death is so poorly written that you could watch a porn cartoon and have better written dialogue than this. An hour or two into the game, he dies. Whatever. He was dead weight. Fast forward a little bit, and Ellie is an emo. She doesn’t seem to want to talk to anybody, clearly affected by Joel’s death (even though their relationship was strained at the time, so she shouldn’t care as much.) I only ever found this to be a minor inconvenience, as they can do whatever the hell they want.
    I would go over the bulk of the story and discuss the pacing issues and mission placement, but we would be here forever. I’ll give you the basics on what they should’ve done better.
    -keep Abby’s 10 hour story, but mix it in with Ellie’s so that they both build up to the fight at the cinema. This would probably keep the players investment in the game, wanting to play as Ellie but not as Abby but having to progress through both at the same time. This solves the mission placement issue.
    -(they should’ve) removed a lot of stupid content they shouldn’t have added, keeping the playtime low, solving the pacing issue.
    -have the ending just be Abby and Ellie trying to fight in the water, as the other, but have both kill each other. This is just an ending that I’d find entertaining, at least Ellie and Abby would be equal in terms of loss.
    Honestly, I feel like this game, despite it’s problems, is worth playing just once. It’s nice to have a game that takes risks, rather than playing it safe. Although, the marketing certainly doesn’t give the company much praise, especially because it shows they aren’t proud enough of the project they made to advertise what they actually made, and instead advertised the game people actually wanted to play, which just makes them look bad. That means all they want is money, not to tell a story that nobody wanted but still can be enjoyed, but instead hiding a well told story behind what could’ve been a masterpiece that not only took risks but advertised it as such. Overall... is this a good GAME? Yes. You’re a moron if you think this game is just a failure in every regard, because it isn’t. It gets a lot of things right. But to those giving this game “PERFECT 10/10” are also just a part of the problem. This game in no way is a masterpiece, and never will be. It had glaring pacing problems and story issues that will bug people who bother to look for them. But, the gameplay almost makes up for it and the story is so daring that some people can just avoid all that and enjoy it for what it tried to be. This is a good game. Good story? It’s a subjective question, but I believe yes, if it was an original game. Is it a good TLoU2? Hell no. This story shouldn’t have ever been told in this universe, because it doesn’t belong. But I think that some things can help me look past all that, as the graphics are stunning and the gameplay is smooth and functional.    … Expand

If you looked at videos into this game before buying it you'll only have yourself to blame for not wanting to play it and hating it as you will never have the chance to experience it from your own point of view. If you bought it and decided to stop playing it because of what happens in the story that's your choice. But I had to keep playing it to find out the truth of what happened and why it happend and I loved every minute of it as I didn't know what was going to happen next. I know the story is very dark and violent but I love those types of stories as you never know what is going to happen, where it will take you and how it will affect you. I would highly recommend this game as it has a great and unexpected story to it that will stick with you long after you've played it.… Expand

Has some glitches like Dina can't be spotted by the enemies when she is right infront of them. Walking through objects,... Story is garbage. Do yourself a favor and don't listen to paid fake journalist who get paid to write fake reviews. Just go watch some episodes on youtube, decide for yourself and then wait untill it's into the 15 dollars range or buy it 2nd hand because that's what it deserves because that's what it is worth. I want to start off by saying that the game is not good, it is not bad but it's good, the game creates feelings in the gamer that were meant to exist. The game created anger and the feeling of revenge that is understandable for what to happen to Joel but I can't wrap my head around the reason why Joel died, my initial thought was that it brought something bigger to the table, something that might be bigger than Jackson, The Fireflies, The Scars or WLF but it wasn't the reason for Joel's death, the only reason for why Naughty Dogs decided to take this path was to get revenge on something that didn't even happen in the first game this means that the first game and everything that makes the first game very good is thrown out the trash to pursue something new and force new characters in the game, also forcing the player to follow a character that one is meant to be hated and two brings stupidity and a dumbass back story that can easily be as dumb as her stupid muscles, Abby character by herself destroyed the first game and the second and keep in mind that she wasn't even in the first game but let's take account of what she did to destroy this franchise

    The developers created Abby's part of the campaign to make the gamer understand why Abby did what she did but the gamer doesn't care, we care about Joel and Ellie and what happens to them, not about a character who is tied to the first game but doesn't appear by killing the main reason why we played the second game and the reason why we waited 7 years for this game which is Joel, every time I decided to play the first game I'll just think of the emptiness the first game has, taking account that the second game makes me hate the first game and that's the hardest thing a franchise can do which is making a gamer hate the first game with the second game this means that developers made a perfect game but made us hate it not by changing the first game but making a second game that is so bad at telling a story that at the end of the day destroys the franchise

    The story sucks and since the story is the only contact the game has to the player this means the game sucks which tears my heart out because it had the base to become even better than the first one and even worse is that naughty dog hyped this game as a successor to the first game by making trailers that have nothing to do with the final result by misleading the player to play the game but then making the gamer try to enjoy it but we can't because the simple reason is that they killed the game off in the first two hours of the game if you decided to stop playing the game after the two hours you are not missing out on anything and if you are considering on buying the game I advise you to because at the end of the day the game is a sequel to one of the best games ever and I believe that as a gamer we are obligated on playing even if I know beforehand that the game was going to be bad I would have to play it

    The Last Of Us 2's story makes me hate naughty dog as a company because the money, time, manpower, equipment even the creativity to make this game perfect but the didn't, they wasted near a decade on making a game most people don't like by them wanting to send a stupid message that violence is not the answer but proceeds to kill off a great character like Joel and Jesse and if you think that at the end of the game you finally get the justice that Joel deserves your wrong because the wanted to send a message of violence is the answer but after you slaughtered hundreds of people, killed animals and killed a pregnant woman so basically Ellie lets Abby live because she remembered Joel but honestly if I was in her position and lived through the things she had to live through I, taking account that Joel has been here father figure and also the person who teaches her, protects her, defenses her, loved her and saved her I would have killed Abby the same she killed her, I hate Ellie for sparing Abby the way she and at the end of the game Ellie is left with nothing, literaly nothing she literaly started with everything and ended up nothing not even with a the feeling of fullfillment because the only thing that made her kill everybody, lose her family and lose Joel was to kill abby and doesn't even kill her.

    The story is bad and I can't suggest the game but even with all the errors the game has it is decent enough to be played and to enjoy the gameplay, the conclucion is if the like the first game you won't like the second    … Expand

    One of the best 10 games I had played in my entire life, its awesome in almost everything, graphics, history, figths, ambientation, etc. I haven´t finished but I have spendt more than 30 hours, I hope there are a 3. cheers

    The gameplay hasnt really improved since the first game, which was a big put off for me. Although it would have been fine if the story was strong - which it isnt. For me the story just wasnt anything special, it was just a mediocre revenge story which really did nothing new.

Forcing us to try and sympathize with a character in Abby who is irredeemable. There is in fact a big difference between Ellie and her. Add to the fact that we have to play as her for a large chunk of the game. Then the ending is hollow, Ellie’s decision does not match up with who she has been built up to be throughout the game. It’s on par with the sudden heel turn of Daenerys at the end of season 8 of Game of Thrones as in it’s a idiotic character choice. Such a disappointment.… Expand

The story shows the perspective of both sides of the conflict, rather than simple black and white one dimensional characters. The subtlety of facial animation allows higher emotional expression and portrayal of internal conflicts of all characters.
    Gameplay is great and allows for wide variety of approaches to pretty much every single combat encounter.
    Graphics are gorgeous, with highly detailed, lush nature environments contrasting with gloomy decay of human settlements.
    Minimalistic guitar score makes every note that much more impactful.
    I would definitely recommend everyone to experience this game first-hand to fully appreciate the effort and quality of it.    … Expand

    Horrible story after the first game, the gameplay is average for gaming these days, I won't give it high just because of how the gameplay SHOULD played out especially for 2020. My day is ruined after finishing this game. Believe me, these ratings that gave a high score is an absolute joke.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
