    Naughty dog is one of the best studio, and the last of us part 2 is the best game of the ps4 Era . Amazing graphic, physic, combat system, nice dialogs, Amazing characters hearthbreaking story.

    All these people giving it fake reviews need to grow up. Maybe that’s why they can’t get over the story! Don’t listen to people hating on this game. It’s not as good as the first one but it’s still a masterpiece in game making. You won’t find a better game in world building, the animation, the acting. MUST PLAY.

    Finaly played this game and i now understand why people hate it. They ruined everything that made the first one amazing for sjw brownie point from **** Not to mention the hypocrasy from Sony when it comes to sexual acts on Play station. It is alowed for them in the games they make but everything else has to be censored like Devil May Cry 5. Never buying another Sony first party game ever.

    Mixed feelings about this game, the graphics are amazing, and the gunplay is stunning, but the story is by far the downside of LOU2, forcing me to play as a random character when the first game developed a true experience is ridiculous, it was very disappointing

    A morally difficult game, this game simply destroyed me, after the game I felt devastated. At some point, I forgot that I was playing a game, the characters of this game came to life for me. From a technical point of view, this game is perfect (Graphics and gameplay) the most detailed locations and a super beautiful post-apocalyptic world.

Games are a way for all of us to delve into to escape reality and the monotony in life. That is exactly what the first game did, it created a masterful story everybody loved with ups and downs and with no politics involved. Now for what I think about this sequel: I would not give this game anything above a zero because ND took a route that should not have been taken with a sequel to a game that was as close to a masterpiece as one could get (in regards to the story). Lazy, confusing writing, pander simulator, plot holes, making you play as someone NOBODY gives a rat's a** about, killing the main protagonist in a terribly brutal and (to be completely honest) not believable way. Tommy and Joel have been through thick and thin for the last thirty years, and just trust a bunch of sketchy random strangers? There is much more, but many more people have analyzed this garbage game better than I have. Don't waste your money or give it to a company that pulls stuff like this.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. the game is not bad but it is not a masterpiece, the first one was much much better (story or gameplay) what happens to a certain character could have been avoided it was useless and naugthy dog playing badly are games for this part,being forced to play the killer of a certain character it was necessarily not the best way to attract players to play your games, if could have played Abby in another context without coming to the end of a revenge for an old spaghetti movie that leads to nothing at the end the story would have been different and i think all gamer would have seen the arrival of new characters like Abby better, and joel could have survived without having to fight, for a main character history they could have started in another way without having to kill like a vulgar dog, the gameplay was good anyway and the functions for disabled person it deserves one more point… Expand

    Boring and repetative gameplay for 30+ hours that was supposed to be justified by the story that is boring and repetative as well. It is full of filler episodes and cliches that are 50 years old classic of post-apocalypse genre but were advertised as groundbreaking and new.

    While it doesn't add much when it comes to gameplay, the story unfolds in a deeply emotional journey for every character involved. Rarely has a game dared to go this far to tell the story it wants to tell and if you let yourself accept how cruel the world of The Last of Us truly is, you will see this game for what it is: a storytelling masterpiece with fun gameplay.

    The game is absolutely beautiful in all aspects (story, gameplay, MUSIC!!!). Even though I didn't like some decisions and some acts of the main characters, it's still a hell of a rollercoaster. A masterpiece with outstanding musical compositions from Gustavo Santaolalla. Thanks, Naughty Dog!

    The narrative is Bad, ok. It would be better if the Game started with the scene of Abby finding her dead father at the hospital, so the concept of Revenge gets clear in the story for the players. The Game lacks a Lot of dynamics that the first part has, and You just keep going from point A to point B. But I really liked how is showed Abby's past. However it is Bad developed how AbbyThe narrative is Bad, ok. After finishing this game, I think it’s fair to say it is alright. The graphics are nice, the gameplay is alright, and the story is just a normal revenge story with a bunch of complex situations. The only thing I would say wasn’t good about this game was the pacing and 2nd half of the game (not concluding the final acts after the first fight between Abby and Ellie).     Story - Very disjointed and sometimes downright confusing.
    Characters - New characters are very very dull bar a select few. Old characters are nowhere near as attachable as the first game. Bond between Joel and Ellie has been completely ruined and the very end makes little to no sense as it goes against everything Ellie did the whole way through the game.     This is a true sequel. Some might not like it, but it outclasses the first game in many ways. Even if you aren't super fond of the story (I personally enjoyed it), it is a technical masterpiece. This is a video game that makes other games feel like video games, if that makes sense.

    People need to understand that just because you don’t like how a story goes, that doesn’t make the game bad. This is the best storytelling in any game I have ever seen, and has a great message which the player can reflect on. On top of it all, the game is beautful, and extremely realistic.

    Le 2ème chef d'œuvre de Naughty dogs. Un jeu qui te bouscule dans tout les sens en jeu et même après la fin du jeu. Une leçon d'écriture de personnages, d'univers qui nous fait plonger dans le jeu du début à la fin.

That’s just a sign that this game continues to be “review bombed” by insecure, childish, immature, pervy, closeted, sheltered neckbeards who were clearly disappointed that the game creators decided not to oversexualize the main characters and make them a bit more controversial that what they are used to in theirI had to scroll past 5-6 pages just to find a review that wouldn’t be a 0.     I used to love The Last of Us, the first game had me really excited for this franchise. It was an amazing game/experience. Then The Last of Part II released and I simply stoped caring about this franchise.

    Joel/Ellie are disrespected and don’t fee like the same characters. Joel was so careful to not commit stupid mistakes and here he is just simply careless, Ellie was such an interesting    I used to love The Last of Us, the first game had me really excited for this franchise. It was an amazing game/experience. Then The Last of Part II released and I simply stoped caring about this franchise.

    Joel/Ellie are disrespected and don’t fee like the same characters. Joel was so careful to not commit stupid mistakes and here he is just simply careless, Ellie was such an interesting character and in part II she’s boring and just in mass murder mode.

    Unless they redo the whole story for part 2 I simply won’t care, specifically since the developers lied to us so badly with the game promotion material to subvert our expectations. I don’t even care for the multiplayer they are working on, the last of us is dead to me.

    I it doesn’t matter if the graphics look great or gameplay feels great or even if the sound is great… the story is so disappointing you just won’t care.    … Expand

Its so sad that these characters and this story were forced to push a narrative that only the director Neil Druckman wanted. such a letdown from the first game in so many ways.     The first game was a Gem but this is a Master piece, ignore all the fanboy negative reviews as most haven’t played the it a just jumped on to deliberately try to bring this game down. Sonys studios are unrivalled in single player story telling.

Everyone kept saying this is not what we wanted, but we have to remember that you are playing to experience a story told from a perspective other than yours. I hated the game at an earlier stage because of some of the events that happened, I kept wondering why would Naughty Dog do that to the game but I kept pushing through. Eventually, I understood it. It's brilliant how we see the world from a single lens and we choose to ignore any other. This game "forces" you to experience what it's like on the other side, know that we're all humans with a willingness to survive. Everyone have loved ones and everyone is willing to go through a lot to preserve them.

    I honestly never played a game that played with my emotions like that. To sympathize with the enemy? That took me by surprise.

    I do recommend playing this game, but a word of advice, keep an open mind while doing so. Let go of your attachments to characters and actually listen to the message being delivered. Try to feel what it's like to be Ellie, Joel, or Abby. It's not a one dimensional story, there's depth to it.    … Expand

    Boring, typical storyline, low gameplay game. A brilliant plot that doesn't add up. Violence breeds more violence, but Abby's murdered friends and mowed down crowds of people for revenge for Joel's death tell a different story. When Ellie forgives Abby after that moment something breaks in my head

    I originally scored this game way too high back in 2020. So Im back now in 2022 to do it right. With all the forced identity politics, and **** story, it doesnt matter how awesome the gameplay is at all. They ruined the franchise with this nonsense and it doesn't deserve anything higher than a 4

The game play is ok, just like the first one, but making me play as the main villain for a solid 10 hours, and then against Ellie? Come on, what is the logic in that even. This story destroys my love for the first game, and probably a little for the Uncharted series as well, because now I am genuinely afraid that ND will produce Uncharted 5 or whatever the next title is as an SJW "piece of art".     I hated that Ellie's section of the game is reduced to about 11 hours, 5 of which are the damn tutorial so we barely get to explore ANY time with Ellie that's considered actual gameplay. Her dialogue with Dina felt flat and unimaginative, mostly just commenting on what they were doing in the moment.
    I did not mind that **** died, because i honestly expected it to happen from the first trailer, but it happened so soon into the game that it didn't invoke much reaction in me; it should've happened far, FAR into the story, many hours in, so that we the players had a new, fresh attachment to him. It would have hit so much harder.
    And then, right when the action is hitting hardest, right when we get to the climax- we switch to ABBY?! For ELEVEN HOURS?!
    WHAT WERE THEY THINKING
    It is too much to expect the player to care about a character we have barely met before, putting aside what Abby did. Why in the hell would a gamer ever want to spend eleven hours (at least!!!) playing as an unknown, hated character in an established franchise, when they KNEW everyone wanted to play as Ellie. Like???? WHY??????
    Just why??
    Abby is boring, grey, contributes absolutely NOTHING to the plot other than introducing us to characters Ellie has already killed, so why would we care about them? It's so incredibly long and boring. The one tiny good part was Lev, whose character I liked a lot, but it couldn't lift up what is horrific and boring and meaningless to the story. It's nonstop walking, shooting, trying to find some stupid supplies for a stupid character who dies stupidly two minutes after you saved her. So like, that's 3 hours WASTED trying to save her AND SHE DIES ANYWAY.
    The game completely rubs it in your face that Ellie's the bad guy. We get it, she's bad, but she obviously had remorse at some moments. How could they expect us to care about Abby, who certainly has no empathy whatsoever?? Did they expect us to care about her just because her dad died like 5 years ago? But she doesn't care about now, in present day, murdering a pregnant woman?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??
    It's just so dumb??? What, the thousands upon thousands of relatives that Joel left behind after killing their loved ones are all gonna come and hunt him down? WHAT?
    Literally I can't express my hatred for Abby, and my hatred for ND forcing us to play as her for eleven damn hours.
    The plot is all over the place. The tension builds, and they let it die in a steaming pile of nothing. It builds again, then nothing. Then we get this horrific constant swap between Ellie and Abby for NO REASON. And the ending??? The whole damn game was for absolutely nothing??
    WHAT WAS THE POINT.
    I know Naughty Dog wanted to surprise us, but WHY? And why with this godawful semblance of plot?? All we wanted was a game where Ellie and Joel went adventuring. We wanted it to be emotional, yes.
    We did not want THIS.
    THIS IS NOT THE GAME WE WANTED
    Oh, and don't even get me started on Ellie finding out the truth about Joel's lie. I waited seven years to see her reaction to what Joel did to her, and it was crammed into a three minute cutscene? Are you kidding me???
    A better plot would have been Ellie and Joel adventuring etc, and Ellie find out DURING their/the player's adventure, leading to a massive confrontation between them, and THEN we witness ****'s death and Ellie's guilt at having hated him right before he died. Instead, we see it in snippets of stupid, lazy flashback cutscenes that happen so sporadically that we don't bother putting them together and it just cuts the tension down to nothing. They happen so randomly that we have absolutely no attachment to them. They should have happened WHILE THE ADVENTURE WAS ONGOING. Why should the player care about something that happened in 2 minutes three years before the game started??
    I hate this game so much, oh my Goddd. The ONLY good thing in this game is the acting performances, because they were great. But i detested the game so much that I can't even give it a point for that. My God. I'm still so let down 2 years later my Goddd.

Besides this game being an awful story about revenge being awful for both sides and the death of a beloved character, what makes this game so hard to play through is the pacing of the story. The game tries to get you too care about characters who have no likable traits and having to play as a separate character that the majority don’t like and having to sit through boring cutscenes and flashbacks it feels almost as if I should get paid just to play this game. It was all over the place and just filled with boredom and suffering. Such a shame.… Expand

    O jogo surpreende em termos técnicos e gráficos. A história é uma reviravolta. Estou surpreso com a grandiosidade desse jogo. Tive oportunidade de jogar apenas no final do ano passado (2021), mas eu sempre li e ouvi elogios desse exclusivo do PlayStation (que já e o jogo mais premiado da HISTÓRIA). Sem mais delongas, é magnífico.

    I was hesitating to play this game, because of comments about "stupid plot", which in most reviews, after further read, you can recognise an emotional opinion, which doesn't consider a "stupidity" of the plot, but rather a negative emotional impact of it. IT WAS MEANT TO BE THIS WAY. It was specifically wrote to make you feel this way. I completely understand that this game isn't for everybody, people often look for relaxing and positive experience, especially in video games. If you are one of this people, even if you'd loved the first game, by all means IT ISN'T A GAME FOR YOU. Still, considering this plot stupid, because it made you feel bad, is like criticising "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" to be "stupid", because its a sad movie.

    Besides "stupid plot", there are opinions about "leftist propaganda"... So what if Ellie isn't heterosexual? Not everyone is! And it was hinted in the first game, so don't act surprised! So what if Abby isn't the most feminine character in the history of pop culture? She is a damn soldier! Consider this character to be male. Do you expect, that 50 kg man to be a Rambo in a post-apocalyptic, zombie infested world? Of course she have to be buffed. You may aks "So why she isn't a man in the first place?". It's a valid question! In my opinion, Abby was created as female to be much more close to Ellie, as a character.

    To end my rant and start an actual review (spoilers ahead).

    I won't comment the actual game play, because as I see, the general consensus is that it's overall very good. I think the same and the main point of this game is its plot. For a long time I thought that game have to try to be "cinematic" and to be "just like movies". This game, and the first one actually, changed my mind. Now MOVIES have to try to be like video games. First game was about searching for humanity in god-forsaken world, this one is about losing it and considering "who is actually human?". At this point everything may be considered a SPOILER!!!

    *YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED*

    I have read some reviews, that criticise changing the narration from point of Elly to Abby. I think its main quality of this game! Abby perspective shows, that nobody is sinless, everybody deserves a punishment. Abby and Elly both lost father, even if he isn't a biological one in Elly's case. Both had lost friends, both can't live being aware that the second one is still breathing, and its a main point of this game. Where is this thin line which separates humans from monsters? When can we consider the other side to be hurt enough? Should we even consider it in the first place?

    Don't understand me wrong, after Joel's death I wanted to see Abby's guts on the screen, I could not consider this game to be good without having seeing her die in most gruesome way possible. I often consider the "revenge stories" to be crap if protagonist doesn't kill the antagonist, and just letting him/her live. This story is different and that why it had moved my! Showing Abby's perspective made me hesitant. Is Elly a good guy in this story? Joel clearly deserved what he got, at least from Abby's point of view. Maybe Elly was a monster not Abby? That's thing that everyone should consider separately, because this question does not have a good answer.

    *FINAL NOTE (without spoilers)*

    Just give this game a chance, buy it used/discounted, let it move you. Games shouldn't make the same mistake as many movies, have a good guy be good, and a bad guy be bad. Games should be risky and show as something new from time to time. If you don't like it... ITS FINE, write your opinion, just I've did! It wasn't my intention to criticise ones that didn't like this game. I just want game designers to experiment with their creations. Please don't bash them for this! You may don't like the effect of their work, but at least, as a community, we have to praise them for showing something different, something new, something new...    … Expand
