    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only outstanding things about this game is the overall scenery, mechanics and graphics. It begins to fall off due to the story. I am not against any LGBTQ or any promotional bs, but doing it wrong and disrespectful is another story. I was promised a game with Joel in it because before this game came out, the ads and trailers showed lots Joel and Ellie action,but then the game came out and Joel was killed within two hours of gameplay, afterwards we are forced to play Joels killer to see her side of the story for 10 excruciating hours. I have no problem with Joel getting killed off, but how it was written and how it was executed was poor. I was promised a game with more Joel and Ellie action. Overall disappointment. Next time you advertise your games, make it legit and not this false promotional garbage you presented to me.… Expand

    I wanted to wait till I finished the game before I reviewed it. After the end of the story I found myself comforted by the fact Naughty Dog stuck to what they knew when telling a story but also improving on the gameplay mechanics of the first one.

    This game was a major disappointment.

    The combat/stealth mechanics are basically identical to the original, but the story is atrocious. Garbage one-dimensional characters riddled with "woke" messaging. Save yourself $60, and buy something else.

I couldn't even finish it. The script read like a Tumblr fanfiction of the last of us rather than an actual game.     As a video game this a piece of art. Didn't like something or two about the story but definitely this game is one hell of an experience. Didn't regret for a second buying it. And I'll play it again. I wanna get back there.

The gameplay and encounters has improved a lot from the first game - and if you thought that the first one was an emotional rollercoaster you’re in for a ride. I was constantly surprised throughout the game and thoroughly enjoyed the direction of the story.     It's difficult to express how good this game is, but you could almost read any negative reviews as it's opposite and see the real truth of the game. It has had such a profound effect on people that they can't forgive it the emotional states it brought upon them.

    I think they forget this was the same in game 1, just less obvious. The main example is how the ending of the first game is just not what I would have d chosen if I had the choice which is funny in how it relates directly to the second game. It was hotels coffees I made, as this game is about Ellie's choices and Abbey's choices. I highly recommend it.    … Expand

    The controversial second installment to the Last of Us is not without it's drawbacks. Gameplay is excellent, the acting is amazing, the music and visuals are breathtaking. The story is engaging but heartbreaking. It trades character development for a focus on narrative themes. It's a story that asks you to empathize with the antagonist rarely seen in other stories. It's a story of a woman who learns to forgive herself, albeit a bit too late.

    I'd recommend playing through and choosing for yourself what you think. The lack of character development is noticeable and frustrating. But I think it still works for the overall themes of the game.    … Expand

    Played through it twice so far. Excellent in all categories. Visuals, art and environment design, and animation are exceptional. The acting is nuanced and realistic, and sound effects sound natural. Story is very interesting and emotional, with lots of unique characters that experience various hardships and traumatic experiences, and characters motivations aren't just black and white.     یک همجنسگرا، یک یهودی و کلیساهایی که امکان شلیک را قفل میکنند، تعداد بسیاری کاراکتر مونث، چند مرد احمق ، داستانی اتفاقی و پیام های دیگر که خواهید دید اما نه به اینجا بلکه فشار بیش از حد به کارمندان استدیو، ایجاد هیجان کاذب قبل از فروش، رفتن بزرگان استدیو و یک مشاور همجنسگرا برای پروژه

This game carries mature and heavy themes, so it is understandable why it wasn't made for everyone. Naughty Dog acknowledges the brutality of killing off this loved character, and wants the audience to feel just like Ellie- someone who just lost their father. Others are mad at the "poor writing", but the four complex timelines the game carries is highly difficult and ballsy to pull off. Having to "walk a mile" for the character you truly hate has the purpose to really test the player's bias and morals. The ending did trigger many people- a plot of revenge doesn't end in revenge. But what about the first game? The plot of "saving humanity" didn't end in that. Plot and stories are different. Plot: finding the cure of humanity, story: relationship between Ellie and Joel. Plot: revenge, story: grief and forgiveness. If you walk away still wanting Abby dead, you may have completed the game but not with your soul. Yes this game is emotionally draining, but it reflects the sad truth about our reality- how unstructured and animal-like society would become in a world like this.… Expand

    Naughty Dog is one of my favorites devs and The Last Of Us will be always in my heart. Part II is stunning, gorgeous, graphics are out of this world, also the new characters are really cool.

Ellie became really unlikable while Abby's story could've been told in a separate DLC. Joel's death wasn't done properly and they missed a good chance in making it really emotional. Very disappointing… Expand

Story was incredible, heartbreaking, hard to swallow in some moments. Was really hard to keep going at some points as it's very gritty. But I'm glad I did. I've played a further 3 times now and it still doesn't cease to amaze me. My game ofincredible.     O jogo divide opiniões porém me agradou muitíssimo, nos gráficos bem caprichados na nova jogabilidade e o enredo pode não ser melhor que o primeiro, mas conseguiu me despertar mais emoções minha nota é 8,5 mas como não há esse sistema para não ser injusto vou dar nota 9.

    I Just completed the game..and wow... just wow... inspite of so many deaths, the ending blew away my mind... thank you Neil Druckmann for creating this masterpiece. All those fake reviews on Metacritic is purely a joke. This game is beyond immensity to even rate it.

It should be illegal to give a product, that you had a hand in creating, a positive review, let alone give it multiple positive reviews..

    This game just has a horribly unbelievable story because in the post apocalypse, people arent going to be worried about transitioning their gender, they are going to be worried about eating. This game just has such a stupid concept. Just really shows how dumb devs really are these days. They cant even grasp simple concepts like that. And it just makes for awful un-immersive games/stories.

    Not to mention that nothing was even mentioned in the first one about gender transition or anything, but the second games comes out, and is pretty much all about gender transition? In the apocalypse? Its just so fkin unbelievable that its ridiculous. You would have to be such a moron to buy this story. Because trust me, when your worried about eating, and being eatin, transitioning your gender is going to be the last thing on your mind..

    The only thing I have a problem with is horrible writing/stories with absolutely no logic or fore-thought put into it/them    … Expand

A este juego le doy 9.6 por que la verdad me gusto mucho solo que tiene problemas y uno de ello es muy grande como la muerte de joel su muerte esta mal escrita es super forzada y la verdad cuando la vi me quede decepcionado sin ganas de seguir jugando el juego pero despues segui ya que habia invertido ya mucho dinero por ese juego y la verdad lo demas me encanto hay otra parte de la historia que no me gusto mucho que fue un flashback de abby la parte de el acuario me aburrio pero en cuanto al personaje me gusto al principio la odie y al final me termino gustando de echo al principio de la campaña de ella estaba como okey esta bien pero ya denme a ellie quiero ya jugar con ellie despues se me paso y la campaña de abby me gusto muchisimo a excepcion de la escena que ya comente y ellie un personaje que me gustaba al final me termino callendo mal y las ultimas 7 horas del juego me encantaron encontre muchas emociones ahi es el juego que mas emociones me a sacado en cuanto al gameplay y los graficos es espectacular naughty dog hizo un gran trabajo ahi en conclusion me encanto el juego puede que hubiera estado a la altura de 1 pero por los errores que comente para mi no lo estuvo y la verdad lo recomiendo.

However, the unforgiving thing of this game is its story, which is a huge shame because that was what really made the first game shine among all other games. Level design is great, guns are fantastic represented and the gameplay is just freaking amazing. I'm giving a 6/10 because the history is a total nonsense. First you encounter with a grown Ellie, wich is not the Ellie from the first game because she lost any piece from her amazing personality, then Joel died at the first 2 hours, not giving you any explication. All Ellie's history was right, then Abby history, I will say it clear, no one gives a **** and the final is the top of the nonsense. If you don't care about the history you will love it.     What Niel Druckman did with this game is unfair for those people that played the first game with their heart. Having created a relationship with Joel and Ellie on their peak of the firs adventure is something very difficult to overtake in a second take like this. If they wanted to make a new character for this, they must consider then build that character into the players.

    I felt this kind of cinematic storytelling combining with gameplay interactions is still very impactful. I never expected I able to get so many seemingly real and complicated feelings in a game. This sequel have more information, character designs also very in depth, it required more attention while ‘playing’ to find out. Give 10/10, merely because this experience is too unique to me.

El juego tiene partes de acción bastante buenas, gráficos espectaculares, gran jugabilidad, pero la historia no sirve, también se olvidaron que es un juego post-apocalíptico con infectados, pasas mayor parte del juego luchando contra humanos que contra infectados, además de que perdió la esencia del miedo que causaba, por momentos demasiado largos no había zombies y cuando los había eran demasiados, cuando en TLOU había pocos al menos por cada sala y podías evitarlos pero en la segunda parte te los aventaban a todos de golpe, gran fallo en eso. Aún así me parece muy épico, muchas horas de juego, vas a hacer corajes con la historia pero es un juego que sigue valiendo la pena, sin embargo no le llega ni a los talones al primer TLOU… Expand

    An absolute masterpiece of a game. Ignore the hate spam. Yes the plot can frustrate and may not go where you want it to but this game follows the exact opposite of fanfare. You never know what is going to happen and that's what's so excellent about. It is a brutal, violent game that holds nothing back.
