    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TLOU 2 is one of the most complex games I've played. Something similar happened to me while playing it, similar to Red Dead Redemption 2, in a way that both games involve difficult themes and characters which make the game more grounded and evolved, in a way. Anyway, some parts of the plot, specially the ending, requires special level of comprehension to reach to the peak of the game and the objective of the developers.

    ANYWAYS, I have a theory that may explain all the hate towards the game.
    What if the game was intended to backfire itself from all the hate that it is receiving? Let me explain. Everyone hates Abby from that crucial moment in the first 2 hours of the game, provoquing the player to react angrily after such a loss. Then we all see different perspectives from people who lost someone, both characters with there respective father figures. The game takes us to do horrible things, even ones we don’t want to take part of, from both sides again. The game is based on hatred and grief for our loved ones, regarding both main playable characters in the game and the player! Because it feels like the game passes over to us that hate, the players, and it’s up to us if whether we decide or not to follow the line of hate the characters are carrying out. Ellie wants to take revenge from the murder of his Joel, and Abby wants to take revenge from the murder of Jerry by Joel. It’s like the cycle of violence passes by to us and makes us really hate the game for all the "bad" decisions the writer has carried out. I believe that this might not be just a coincidence but a side-intention in the plot. This is why TROY BAKER, actor of Joel, reminds us to keep an open mind while playing throughout the game, because of how we need to understand it and why players should not rush by raging about it. I know I don’t know much how to express complex ideas but this one kept going around inside my mind and I needed to write it down.    … Expand

Я довольно опытный геймер с большим стажем, мои первые игры в детстве были golden axe, dune, star craft... за столь большой период времени, я отыграл большое количество компьютерных игр и могу с открытой совестью написать, что это лучшее во что я играл когда-либо! Я прошел игру на нормальной сложности за 30ч, столько положительных эмоцийЕсли можно было бы поставить 100, я бы сделал это. Я довольно опытный геймер с большим стажем, мои первые игры в детстве были golden axe, dune, star craft... за столь большой период времени, я отыграл большое количество компьютерных игр и могу с открытой совестью написать, что это лучшее во что я играл когда-либо! Я очень сожалею людям, которые не могут поиграть в нее и смотрят стримы или летсплеи по данной игре. В эту игру необходимо играть, прочувствовать всю атмосферу от происходящего, и когда вы погрузитесь в неё, поверьте , она вас не отпустит даже после прохождения. Жаль, что не могу забыть эту игру и пройти ее снова. Обязательно сделаю это позже, но уже на PlayStation 5. Спасибо. Играйте в игры, как это было всегда! Смотреть надо кино.… Expand

Now, about the story they tell us, it's a revenge. And that's how people will take revenge normally. Why compare it to the previous game where the story was just to carry a girl to the other side of the city? So, ppl, chill, damn,The game is good. Honestly, Idk why all the hate.     El juego es asombroso y sus mecánicas y cada detalle el nivel de calidad de las cosas, la banda sonora , la historia me encanto por completo hubieron muchas escenas que no me espere, 100% recomendadisimo puedo decir que es hasta mejor que el 1er juego, la historia habla de temas mas profundos y oscuros y te hace ver que la venganza con lleva a mas venganza

    Beautifully done all around. Dont listen to all the bad review these people are just joyless and mad about the LGBT community. One of the best games I've ever played. Emotional all around. Couldn't imagine any other way to do a sequel

    Before buying this awful game, do yourself a favor and rent it first. Play first 2 hrs or so. I seriously want my money back, but I bought it digital version.

    all I have to say the gameplay is next to perfect i really enjoyed the graphics the environment is beautiful. now there where some things in the storyline I was a little upset about thats y I didn't give it a perfect score

    Gostei da história, gameplay que quando vc faz merda leva a punição, gráficos lindos (da pra ver o pescoço pra baixo e reflexo no espelho kkkkk) mas são sim lindos os gráficos....... Mulher maromba kkkkkkkkkkk muito bom isso, colocaram aquelas paradas (homosecsual kkk) mas de boa nem entendi o pq de tando hate em cima....... Talvez as pessoas que estão reclamando sejam meio..... The story is very bad..People feel sad not because of Joel's death but the whole game is forcing people accept the conception of forgiving. if it's a drama or a movie, it would be better, i am somebody watching the character making their decision. I may not agree but i accept that's their choice. but it's a game. I play the characters. I feel like i was made to do the killing I don't want and to forgive someone i don't want to. That's the huge problem for me. Basically, I really want to kill Abby. period.… Expand

The last of us 2 is It is very practical with a very raw and functional story, the strengths of this game are the wonderful landscapes and the gameplay that makes you feel like you’re actually in the situation that the characters are involved, the bad things about this game is the way that the history is told because there are times when you feel confused and do not understand what is happening another bad point is the unnecessary role that plays Abby since the story is supposed to revolve around ellie and her thirst for revenge this causes the player to disconnect and lose the connection they have with the character but doesn’t matter because the story works well and does not end up disappointing you… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
