    First of all, let's start with the positive points: The game is technically successful, even though it's downgraded from the first teaser. The environments are varied and teeming with details. The animations, especially the faces, are a success.

    Concerning the gameplay, it is rather dated. It suffers from exactly the same problems as the first one, but we are in 2020. A certain slowness is perceptible and the gunfights are very soft. The puzzles presented along the game are very simplistic, one often wonders about their usefulness. The game is of course extremely scripted and full of QTE, which quickly becomes tiresome / annoying.

    Let's get to the most annoying point: The storyline. If the first one was an example in terms of writing, taking all the prizes on its way, TLOU 2 is far from taking the same path. And that's a HUGE problem, because the game is presented above all as a kind of interactive film. Unlike the first one, I didn't feel any attachment to the characters and their stories. There is no sense of identification, no empathy that emerges during this adventure. The player watches the story from a distance, like a boat capsizing. The only perceptible feeling was regret, regret for having spent 60 bucks on this game. I don't even want to talk about the end, which clearly deliver the final blow to me.

    Really bad writing. Just a shallow attempt at an "oscar type" film in a game. Fails miserably with the cycle of revenge plotline, mgsv - a halfbaked game did this better.
    The new writer is either a social outcast or a lunatic that hasn't interacted with people before - characters constantly do things that make no logical sense, the story goes from modertaly servicable to downright    Really bad writing.     Sony has done every attempt to mask the games flaws. The writer of this games is a comp science major, which probably explains the psychopathic behaviours of the characters we knew and loved.
    Gameplay and visuals were okay, an upgrade but nothing to write home about. Facial emotions and expressions are done very well. The only redeeming aspect of this game would be the accessibility options, it's got a ton almost enough to be complain about. Save your cash and watcha playthrough if you are interested in experiencing the story for yourself, but be warned, a high schooler could've come up with a better story than this,    … Expand

    I just finished playing through this game and I have never wished I had not played a game more. The story ( in particular the ending) was terrible. I am disappointed that I got my hopes up so much for this game.

How does one have seven years to develop a story just to make it blatantly obvious that characters were written to fit a specific agenda rather than have these characters naturally evolve to what they should have been.     I didn't enjoy this. It just wasn't a fun experience. The jumping mechanics and verticality is b asically never even used except for contextual segments. It's mostly just shooting stuff, which gets repetitive and doesn't feel very intuitive with a controller. It even had less puzzles than TLoU 1. The writing and animations felt very bad at times which is terrible when your game focuses onI didn't enjoy this. It just wasn't a fun experience.     The original is ruined by this abomination, no one wanted this and i would like it if theyd stop ruining old franchises with sjw crap.... Make a new game with that dont force it down on older already established games ffs and thats not even the biggest problem in this game its just that its boring, too long and with messages that are stupid... Violence was nice though

    Where to even begin with this mess. The game is suppose to be a sequel to the first game but takes a dip on it's story telling, characters and world. This game should be used as an example on how to not make a story heavy game. As a loving fan of the first game I would now like to just forget that this mess ever made it onto my console.

    Sometimes you have to take risks to make changes to the story of a game and make it more interesting, but this time the change made the story worse,The Last of us, which for me was the best game in story mode of all time, introduced new characters that were atrocious ruining a video game that was excellent.

    Llevo 7 años esperando este juego, adquirí mi PS4 PRO solo por este juego. Me ha decepcionado mucho lo que han hecho con los personajes del primero y la inclusion de temas como la homofobia y la xenofobia totalmente forzados. Soy de izquierdas y me parece innecesario lo que estan haciendo. Espero que Neil Druckman y Sony pida disculpas a los jugadores. Le doy un 1 porque gráficamente yLlevo 7 años esperando este juego, adquirí mi PS4 PRO solo por este juego. Um um jogo bonito, mas cansativo, 28 horas jogadas pra ela simplesmente não concluir a missão principal, repito cansativo, lutas cansativas, dialogos cansativo, mapa tecnicamente grande mas vazio, esse é o resumo completo do jogo, ellie com suas expressões que podem se dizer humanas (bem feita) mostra que matar centenas porque não dizer milhares de "zumbis" simplesmente não consegue matar abby. Além desperdício de horas jogas me provocou sono acumulado, parabéns Playstation por esperar anos pra nada.… Expand

    I bought "The Last of Us 1" and DLC on PS3, bought "The Last of Us 1" on PS4, but this time I bought not a game, but a political statement.. Disappointed.

    The story is bleak, the gameplay is boring and the characters are extremely unlikable.

    Last Of Us series was perfect but Part 2 destroyed its legacy....

    Good Story? NOPE I liked that they tried to show both perspectives but like mostl every death felt rushed and it looked like Naughty Dogs tried waaay to hard to get certain feelings out. A godlike story can carry a bad production but not the other way around

    At first.. i avoided the spoilers just because i liked the first game.. and i wanted to try the second so i can gave it a fair try and judge it myself.. but damn now i wish i haven't played nether of these games..
    I wonder what's gonna happen to Naughty Dog and Niel Cockmann now..

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
