Estragaram o primeiro jogo.

It's a shame that there were many people who didn't like it, but for me this game was a masterpiece, and the story was the best part for me, each scene touched me more than the other, and for me the ending made the perfect closing , so I say, play the game and draw your conclusions, but do not close yourself to the game just because of its beginning.

I've enjoyed playing of this game, but game sometimes is boring - a lot of movies and less of action. I don't like that game shows love between ppl of one gender and no cute girls anymore.
A lot of cruelty in today games.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After finishing the game a few days after it came out, as well as being a completionist I have to say the game gave me so many feels, even more than first game that now that I've completed it Im left feeling like there was a significant loss. The graphics and gameplay I believe were exceptional and unparalleled, the mechanics having significantly improved from the first game (despite the first game mechanics generally being decent anyway). The voice acting was spot on as per, particularly Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson did an exceptional job, as well as Shannon Woodward(Dina) and Laura Bailey(Abby) the raw emotion in this game was portrayed fantastically by these actors. Now, as to my opinion on the storyline, I was hooked by it, having avoided all leaks and spoilers. I truly was rooting for Ellie from the beginning but as time went on I started to sympathise with Abby whose character had grown over the storyline with her incorporation of Lev and Yara, whereas Ellie's character stagnated and became a bitter shell of her former self, who ignored and put the lives of her loved ones at risk even if it meant they might die for her vendetta. This was extremely sad to see them make Ellie into this character, with the ending being so unsatisfying as she literally gives up everything to get revenge, and in the finale, backs out. I'm not mad she didn't kill Abby, but there was no character growth for Ellie, she didn't have a sudden realisation or turning point where she had a logical reasoning for backing out, she just did. I wanted there to be some reconciliation or mutual 'AHA moment' between Abby and Ellie, as their stories at one point or another started to mirror each other. I do really hope they make a sequel and give Ellie the ending she and Joel deserve, maybe with her taking a fledgeling under her wing, or at least finding some peace within herself. Also, they made Tommy into a bad character, after being such a kind compassionate person, they completely did a 180 and turned him into a sharp-tongued man consumed with revenge. Why did they do this to these beloved characters? Expand

The story and the ending sucked ! The ending completely ruined the game for me and how they forced us to play as the antagonist also sucked. What started off so good ended so terribly.

Not every game needs a sequel, and the ending of The Last of Us Part 1 made it seem as if it was one of the games that could stand alone.
But apparently the people over at NaughtyDog didn't agree with that sentiment and instead of giving us an equally riveting story as the first game, they decide that now is the time to throw away anything called character development or critical thinking

A graphical masterpiece let down by lazy writing and unlikeable characters. Joel is needlessly killed in a manner at odds with what is known of the character in the first game. Joel is needlessly killed in a manner at odds with what is known of the character in the first game. Ellie is a former husk of her previous self and is now a one dimensional rage machine. The supporting cast is flat and might as well not even have names for how much they matter. Abby by far is the most unlikable character in the entire game, partly due to her killing joel and partly because she adds nothing to the story and even though you are forced to play as her in what is basically a 10 hour side quest you come out the other side even more resolved to end her life. She is as morally ambiguous as joel was and is in no way a 'good person . Her motivation for killing joel is lackluster "he killed my dad who was going to kill a 14 year old" and she comes across as whiney The ending is atrocious. A revenge story where at the end you....do t get revenclge, because killing and revenge are bad? An odd message considering you spend the majority of the game gutting NPCs who had nothing to do with joels death and even a pregnant woman on your quest for vengeance. You then have a protracted 15 minute hand to hand slugfest only to let abby live because....joel flashback? Unsatisfactory conclusion to an unsatisfactory game. There is also the issue of the mechanics and gameplay. Apart from the ability to go prone, a dodge button and better melee animations, the gameplay is largely unchanged from the first game. A game that came out 7 years ago. This game feels like a re skin of the first. Save your money and just replay the last of us part 1

But no game is perfect, as much of this game is extremely flawed. But first the Pros: As previously stated some of the story elements seem to be more well written than some of the others. The gameplay is fluid and satisfying, and all the animations, music, as well as the sound design, all show incredible feats of the push for perfection from Naughty Dog. However the majority of this game faces great criticism. So here are the Cons: The game seems to really push the idea that revenge is bad, and the cycle of it will just bring more hatred and destruction. However the idea is a tiny nail, being hit by the worlds largest hammer. The writers of the game made a story where in the game the "villain" of the story seems to get more revenge back than our main "hero". I put these in quotes because the game does a terrible job at establishing who our hero's and villains really are. A massive problem with any script or screenplay. I get the idea, but most movies and games that are successful normally provide context to who is the hero, and who is the villain. The second half of the story seems to just forget all of that which the first was building up. And trying to stay spoiler free here, one character in particular is connected to a very traumatic experience for another character, but seems to get off without any worry, as if nothing had ever happened. Most of the characters are given very terrible deaths. I won't go into them, but know that characters seem to die in the most pathetic way ever. And on top of their deaths, the people who witnessed them, never seem to bring up the fact that character died. With only one character getting mentioned frequently, but only because this persons death is heavily involved with the plot all about revenge. And lastly, characters are super underwritten, the characters of Dina, and Jessie, are cool in all, but we know nothing about them by the time that the game ends. And trust me what i'm about to say contains nothing that will be important to the plot. But all we know about Dina is that her sister died, and she knows what a synagogue is. Jessie has nothing other than that he had sex with Dina and got her pregnant a while before the story begins. Amazing character development Naughty Dog writers. All in all, the game suffers massively in the last half, but the first half is okay enough, with some actually good surprising moments that, along with its gameplay, it shines a very very light and pathetic light. The story has many moments where it doesn't make sense and it was too manipulative and forced among the players. They failed to gain interest from the players at a lot of the parts. Even with an open-minded mindset, I still struggled to enjoy the game and understand the true purpose of the story. While I can understand the themes and messages through watching videos and reading comments on reddit, it just shows how they failed as a story-teller to effectively deliver. They made the story way too depressing to gain support from fans. While as a story it might not be the worst, but since it is a video game, something that is supposed to be enjoyed, it ignores the purpose.

If the story was better, this game might have gotten an 8 at the lowest. It is very disappointing and shameful that the potential was wasted. Hopefully Naughty Dog learns from this mistake.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
