Jul 10, 2020First time I ever absolutely hated the character I was playing. The whole game I'm wanting to get revenge on the very person I am forced to play as.

Jul 11, 2020Frankly bad plot. So bad that you play solely because of the graphics. But for a long time it is not enough.

Jul 11, 2020Dumpster fire story. Level design is top notch and zombie killing fun but clear political agenda being pushed and the story makes no sense and has no purpose. One of the most frustrating and terribly written games I’ve ever played in 30 years.

Jul 11, 2020Pretty awesome gameplay mechanisms and details, great graphics, but hateful characters and **** up story ruin everything.

Jul 12, 2020This game is so bad that it basically ends the era of narrative driven games. All major studios will focus on open world now, which is rather sad. Video game has so much potential and dimensions in presenting unique stories and characters. How they messed this up, we probably will never know.

Jul 12, 2020I created an account just to make this review. The graphics and gameplay just barely make the game playable. The story is a dumpster fire and tries to force you to empathize with people you truly don’t care about.

Jul 12, 2020The narrative for this game is just a mess. Tells a tale of two people who sought revenge. One of them seems to have no issues with it and is perfectly fine emotionally. The other one develops ptsd and shows clear emotion. Game makes it way too obvious it wants you to like one character and not the other.
Good combat and graphics though. -

Jul 12, 2020I absolutely loved the first game. One of the best games ever made. However, this sequel is one of the worst games I ever played. Terrible story and mediocre gameplay. It is way too long, and says almost nothing. Just about every character is unlikable. I can't think of a single redeeming quality about this game.

Jul 12, 2020A game with good gameplay( although it feels the exact same as the last one) horrible story would wait for a price drop

Jul 13, 2020Loved the game PhysX, dynamics, engineering, and human emotions, but hated the storyline. Neil assassinated characters and eventually, in the process, designed this trash. The long-awaited game is the worst thing that happened in 7 long years.

Jul 13, 2020Good gameplay, yet an horrendous story, the worst narrative I've ever seen and a terrible ending. There could've been so many things ND should've done rather than this game.

Sep 13, 2020The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.
-
Sep 5, 2020Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

Game World Navigator MagazineSep 3, 2020If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
