    Graphics: 10/10
Gameplay: 10/10 (same as the first game)
    Storyline and plot: 2/10

I loved the first LOU game and can definitely say it is masterpiece. The characters were great, the story was great. Overall it was one of the best zombie survival games i have ever played. When i saw they were making a new one i was so hyped, but im disappointed with Naughty Dog. The LOU 2 is not a Masterpiece (Critics please stop sucking Neil Druckmans dick and saying this game can compete with the first one because it cant.) It has its good moment (the flashbacks) and some parts are fun. But it does so many things wrong. First of all Joel dies in the first mission (WTF) im not angry about him dying, its the way he dies (Joel the alpha male who travelled across half the US, slaying hordes of clickers and hunters and then fighting his way through hospital filled with heavily armoured Fireflies all the while protecting a young Ellie is taken down by a golf club.) So stupid. Then you are forced to play as his killer and experience why she wanted to kill him, no one gives a **** about her. Im pretty sure the first thing everyone did with Abby is kill her using a pipe bomb just to redeem the game a little more! Then the ending...so you (Ellie) kill everyone involved in Joels killing in brutal ways. But as soon as you get to the person who actually did the deed, your like "eh, i cbb to kill you so ill just let you go and get no revenge whatsoever" This discount Greta Thunburg gets away with killing one of the most beloved characters in the series. wtf is this.

The TLOU 2 is a fine game, but not a masterpiece. So stfu critics.

Making you play as Abby to create empathy did not work. Made more displeased. They really try to push you to like it, but FAILED.
Good technical aspects and decent soundtrack.

Imagine waiting 7 years to not play as ellie for more than half of the game, False advertising Joel being in the game more when he gets killed off not even 2 hours in AND his killer gets to walk free after killing hundreds to get to her. AND They want us to “sympathize” with Abby??? No. The way the story is and ends doesn’t sit right with me. No closure at all and leaves you with so many questions. This is exactly how to ruin a perfect game with a **** sequel. If they make part 3 it’s gonna be a disaster. HOWEVER, The game mechanics and the universe are perfect but they should’ve worked more on putting that storyline together that actually made sense than worrying about perfect graphics and game mechanics because people are playing for THE STORY after all. Total frustration. And all this SJW sh*t is not the biggest problem. Poor plot, not an interesting characters, alogical twists and actions, boring gameplay. I can commend great visual and good animation. But it's not enough for a game. You can't watch just on good graphics 30 hrs in a row.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After actually playing the game I'm really disappointed. Chrakters are bland, Joel gets killed right of the bat, Ellie is pretty flat as a character, her "girlfriend" Dina is, too. There's almost no story behind her nor does she get shown a lot in the game. Every character also gets kicked out the game instantly, nothing emotional (not even Joels death). Not even the characters remember them after they're dead. You play as the unlikable Abby for half the game. NO ONE LIKES HER. It's also unbelievable that Joel gets with a group of people he doesn't know, and Abby killing him after he saved her life. This then all comes down to Ellie and Abby killing person after person until pretty much no one even remotely interesting is left (not even Ellie, as her character also got really bland in this game and didn't develop at all, just like every other character).

Joel pretty much gets a big fat "f*ck you" in his face from Ellie while he's alive in the first 10% of the game. Then, suddenly Ellie gets mad and wants to kill Abby, which she eventually...

DOESN'T DO. In the end when you get back to the house it all seems like a bad nighmare with actually nothing happening in the real world in tlou2.

In the end the devs, trailers and the game itself cover up everything that made the first game great (aside from Gameplay, which was quite alright) with great visuals and sound design. And unfortunately players of the 1st game get blinded by that.
It feels rushed. Everything. It's a trash game. Good graphics tho I guess...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Last of Us is my favorite video game of all time. I preordered the Ellie Edition as soon as it was available. And now I'd rather flush my fking 250 bucks right into the toilet AFTER FINISHING THE GMAE. The story is a piece of sh*t and does not make any sense. And fans are totally entitled to be angry about it. Neil was doing everything that he could to make people like Abby and hate Ellie. Guess what? None of these worked. When I reached to the point where I was forced to play as Abby for nearly 10 hours, I was so confused. I don’t give a single sh*t ABOUT ABBY’S BACKSTORY! Abby is still an unlikeable character, let alone the other new characters that were created with no depth what so ever. How dare you Neil Druckmann, to take everything that I love about the first game, twist it, and make it just a social message of your own. To think forcing play to let Abby go in the end was a genius move, it just shows how untalented and incompetent he is as a writer. It's a shame that Druckmann is using LGBTQ as a cover to hide just how much an untalented writer he is. LGBTQ groups should be offended because they were just used like tools by Neil Druckmann. Well, here's my message to you, Druckmann, doesn't matter how much power was given to you, an untalented writer will always be an untalented writer. A 2 out of 10 is simply for what still remains from the Last of Us in this so called sequel. Expand

Sisters arm is smashed to pieces with a hammer, sister is killed, he kills his own mother, a war destroys his home island, literally everyone wants to kill him as soon as they spot him, ...) Even in a post-apocalyptic world, I think that is quite something. Oh I see but this lovely "girl" Abby comes to his rescue. A glimpse of hope!
The only thing they skipped is that the child of Owens girlfriend is already 1 month old and Ellie slashes the babies head off. If you are in such a rage you cannot stop, can you? Maybe they left this for part 3.
But of course, its all for a good reason, the deep message behind it bla bla bla
For me this story is just trash. Revenge and too much violence is bad? I tell you something, I already guessed that before playing the game. And the political correctness, although I am not against it in general, is so over the top that it would ruin the story, if there would be a story.
They sacrificed everything that the players loved about part 1, maybe to satisfy Neil Druckmans ego? Who knows.
If this would be just another post-apocalyptic world with infected game, it would be ok (great graphics, great detailed design of the environment, story not so important) But a very disappointing sequel to TLOU.

However, with such astonishing achievement, the story which these Technical performance give Advantages to tell, the story itself is poor. In order to not spoil, I could say the story divide into two parts, almost can say it could two different storyline for the game. Yet, Naught Dog have made poor decision to combine and how they did it. Which nearly bur all the good sides of the stories, and made players wondering what the purpose for playing, which I believe is doesn’t and shouldn’t matter with other values and message developers what to carry out. This feeling is far more significant when one playing on Hard/Survivor difficulty, when the story is one of the biggest motivation for challenging gameplay, unlike any FromSoft game that is gameplay is already far more than enough.

One might argued that TLOU2 is relatively good in a absolute standard, but lets not forget many Big Companies and Studios always could create new game with good graphic etc, which they should able to do so. Good Graphics are just the means to present a great story, especially for story telling game like TLOU. The Lord the Rings Trilogy didn’t won multiple Oscar by high budgets or Fancy CGI, but the story and world that Tolkien created.

Look, I'm not a little fangirl gamer...graphics are great and all (and they are truly awesome in this game), but the story is where it's at. If you want a good looking game where the story doesn't matter, go pick up a dime-a-dozen shooter and play that. I expected a beautifully written game that was compelling and kept it's hooks in you the entire time (just like TLOU) and sadly, I feel that we received a pile of contrived B movie garbage instead. I'm not sure if the writers were too busy playing on their phones, sleeping or what, but the 'run of the mill' revenge story that has been played out for years, the plot holes that are large enough to park my can in and the meh/uninteresting characters are just too much for one game. I'm sorry, but in my opinion, the magic that existed in TLOU is gone and it'll probably never come back.

Neither should you have us sympathize with a serial killer who has no regrets and wouldn't mind killing pregnant people. Neil says it's "worth it" to play it for yourself, I suggest watching playthroughs of the game and then deciding on your own if it's worth your purchase. Apart from this, the company's horrible crunch time, and the creative director making fun of people who come forth about why they dislike this game, Naughtydog isn't the same company we all praised about anymore, and I don't plan on buying anymore titles from them in the future.
