Non pensavo che potesse arrivare a tali livelli, anche avendo la Fat, il gioco andava molto bene e i tempi d'attesa per tornare in vita erano minimi.

I love that Naughty Dog decided to go in the direction they did. I love the story and how characters evolve during the game. I'm glad I didn't read other user reviews and all the hate before playing. I really enjoyed the game and I suggest you keep an open mind and enjoy the detail that went into the game. Looking forward to part 3. Let's go.

Lets start off simply. This game is split between people who love it for simply being another installment in the Last of Us and people who hate it for its story. I would like to say this: if you go into any game with any pre-determined thoughts, you will tend to have that experience regardless of how the game actually performs. As with anything in life.

Lets start off simply. This game is split between people who love it for simply being another installment in the Last of Us and people who hate it for its story. I would like to say this: if you go into any game with any pre-determined thoughts, you will tend to have that experience regardless of how the game actually performs. As with anything in life.

With that said, I saw the critic reviews of 10/10 and 5 stars, etc. I also saw the audience saying this game would be awful after the plot leaks. Those who read the leaks, learned of a big motive for the story, and instantly begun hating the game for it. This is the problem with spoilers. They ruin things for people.

I was able to avoid the spoilers and went into this game expecting something good, but was weary and open-minded.

I chose to write without spoilers, as the point of a review is to inform someone if they purchase something or not. This game is a purchase in my opinion. The sound and graphics are amazing, as to be expected with a Naughty Dog game. One thing a lot of reviews seem to miss, is the level of detail though. They do not go into the amount of detail. The world is very immersive and the music fits incredibly well. The combat is hard if you do not loot. The game attempts to will you into exploration and you find things you would not expect. Not weapons and ammo, but the stories of people who lived in the areas you loot. The benefits of this pay off, and you can get good gear.

Even more so, the combat is very intense. It is violent. Very violent. However, that is the point of this game. To put emotion behind killing. Players are used to killing hundreds of enemies across multiple games without a thought to it. That is the point of this game and the message trying to be told. Violence, in any capacity, is violent. When you kill an enemy, others will cry out their name. Sometimes after landing a shot, the enemy collapses to the floor and screams until they die. This is very different from any game I have played. It tries to make you realize you are actually killing someone. Not some nobody, but somebody.

The story is not perfect. There was no way to really make a sequel to the first game perfect, as the Last of Us was a perfect game and did not need a sequel. I understand that the Naughty Dog wanted to make a sequel, mainly for money, but also to simply make another game. The story is good for what it is. It is emotional, and those who say moments don't matter, are simply detached from the story.

This game is best played in a setting where you can focus on it. It is best played when you are not trying to relax. It is more of an art project then a game for that matter. Last of Us Part II wants you to feel emotional during the game and tries desperately to achieve that. It works at times but also doesn't.

The game attempts to show you the level of emotion behind people. It tries to show you that despite all the enemies you encounter, they all always have a reason for what they are doing. That, they might not actually be bad. The only real "bad guys" are the undead, and they aren't focused on as much for that reason.

All in all, I think this game takes a lot to understand. You have to be willing to accept things for what they are and role with the game. Make a judgement on it once you are all the way through it, not at the start or middle, but at the complete end.

This game is good and I would recommend it to others. It is a unique experience in gaming, and there is no other gaming experience like it.

Disappointing sequel to what was a perfect game. Gameplay was fantastic with a range of new weapons and enemies. I cannot wait to see how the multiplayer will turn out.

The story however was a let down to say the least. You can tell what Naughty Dog was trying to do with the story but it just did not work.

The masterpiece that was the first one was almost violated. They way they force them out of the story was very disappointing and the character you end up playing was impossible to relate with or feel for.

Still, as a asrand alone game I would consider it an okay game. A solid 5/10. But knowing what could have been I cant help feeling immensely dissapointed.

It breaks my heart to write this, but I really did not expect such a poor story after all these years of waiting. While there were a few genuinely good moments, majority of game filled up with plot holes. It just took elements of what worked for the first game without understanding what made them compelling.

The emotional intensity of this game is surreal. This demonstrates the developers' ability to project human nature into their work, traumatic relapses and weakened humanization in this context. It has its flaws, just like human beings.

Those who gave the game 1 star for Joel's death, what kind of game did you think it was going to be? Did you forget this is an action/horror game set in a post apocalyptic world? Did you not see the trailer?? "Ellie's revenge". What did you think she would be vengeful for? It made sense to me and I liked the way they did it. Let's be real, before Ellie, Joel was an evil **** To everyone that has faced the barrel of his gun, he got what he deserved. Was I upset by his death? Of course! Did I think Ellie deserved revenge? **** yeah! And I was stoked to kill everyone that had a hand in Joel's death. Because I loved the character and thought Ellie deserved redemption. I loved playing as Abby and I grew to love the character. At first of course I hated her and didn't like playing as her because of the animosity I had towards her over Joel's death. But after learning who she was from a kid to an adult, from a WLF to rescuing scars to a prisoner, from a violent, evil brute to a loving carer wanting genuine change I grew attached to her. Having to fight Ellie as Abby and vice versa was so intense and upsetting. I loved the way it was done. You can draw lots of parallels between Abby and Joel. Both began as murderous people, killing and doing it well for the prosperity of themselves and those around them. Finding a young person that they grow to love and care for that changes their ethics and goals, leading them to live more open, trusting lives. The difference is you dont get to see what Joel did before Ellie, it's only referenced that he killed innocent people and set traps.

Also if you're really that bothered by how jacked Abby is (you're probably a misogynist and) it serves a real purpose. Ellie is super petite and you cant play as Joel so you're missing the classic brutal playstyle of TLOU without Abby. She can hold a massive rifle steady, swing a pickaxe without falling over and punch the **** out of people. My only gripe is before the farm, Ellie and Dina's relationship seemed kind of baseless to me. Context was only found in Ellie's teenage journal in the museum. Didn't really like Dina's character and didnt think she deserved Ellie. That did change after seeing them as a domestic couple but i wished i had felt that much earlier in the game. I think if you had read negative reviews of the game before playing (or have some *ahem* prejudices) and are set on disliking the game for those reasons, you have robbed yourself of one of the best gaming experiences ever.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The last of us 2 is a game with hardship, despair and loss. But also within the game is love, strong relationships and forgiveness. The story with Ellie and Dina was the main strong point of the beginning of the game. Joel on the other hand, you can see that the relationship has grown very low, because of Ellie finding out the truth of what Joel had done to her. Which is why I agree with Ellie, she had the chance to save humanity and she wanted to do that and was ready for that sacrifice. But Joel took a selfish move and saved her because he seen her as the only thing he had left in this dying world. Joel still seen her as a little girl and not an adult who wanted to do her own thing. Think of him as a loving yet very protective father. To which is why I also love the way Joel is presented in this game, you know that his story is over, and that Ellie, Dina, Abby and Lev now take over. But now we are gonna talk about Joel's death. Joel needed to die. Maybe not in the way it happened (he had it coming tbh) but it happened and we have to move on. He killed Abby's father for trying to save the world, her father didn't see any wrong and only thought in the recovery of humanity. Joel wronged alot of people, but he was also a good hearted person. Abby sought revenge the same as any other person would do in that situation. Especially in the world they live in. Now back to Ellie, she killed alot of people to just get to one person, even a pregnant women who didn't want to be a part of it. The question I kept asking myself was.. was it worth it? All this killing? Abby let Ellie and Tommy go, but again here is another loop. Tommy wanted revenge for the death of his brother, and so set for another killing spree to which I agree. But now I'm seeing in this story that these are two stories with the same outcome... death. Unresolved and unnecessary death on both parties. Which I think Ellie herself brought on to herself. Now onto my favourite character, Abby. Abby's character development was amazing. At the start I wanted her dead for what she did. But later finding out what happened, I understood why. She had a valid reason for wanting revenge. Now we come to the aid of Yara and Lev. Both amazing characters and totally deserve to be recognised in this game. We see Abby's human side here, she could have walked away after they saved her life. Abby went to hell and back for them and in the end, got a new friend. Lev. Lev has had a troubled story, and also deserves full respect for what he had been through. Yes, he is trans and done what he thought was right, and that was to be himself. His own mother tried to kill him because of it and with the other scars calling him 'Lilly' you can tell the other scars did not accept him for it and therefore got so much hate to the point which he and his sister escaped. Abby deserves so much respect for helping Yara and Lev, again she could have walked away but she didnt. She stood her ground for what was right. Now to the ending, both women fighting to the end. Ellie was gonna win but then turned away because of guilt. Ill leave it up to you to what you think of the ending but I think it ended right. Both women deserved what they got, they both suffered and therefore redeemed. Overall, this game was probably the best game I have ever played. The small love moments between Ellie and Dina are amazing (I cried at the 'Take on me' moment, it was so beautiful). This game deserves all the praise it gets and hope Abby and Lev have their own game. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So lets start with the good aspects of this game:

Gameplay - Original and like the first one, imo there is nothing wrong with this since the concept from the original game worked so well. Animations are amazing, fluid and interactive unlike any game ever, cinematics are also immersive and fantastic, alongside a lot of other factors including level design, graphics and so much more.

But unfurtunately this review score is massively pulled down due to the big elephant in the room: The story - As Druckmann said the story would create some very divisive opinions with the release of this game, and oh boy was he right. Now I don't like the story one bit, and that is mostly since it kinda takes Joel and Ellie's story, and their amazing bond which develops in the first game and throws it somewhat out of the window. Again as many argues mostly people say we don't like the game since Joel dies, this is not true. Matter of fact we all saw this move coming, but it is more HOW Joel dies. It happens in a violent, sadistic and heartbreaking way, that you really feel emotionally. Also the unrealistic plot hole, that Joel in the first game basically slaughtered a hospital of fireflies, which should make him pretty untrusty of any strangers whatsoever, both to keep him and Ellie safe. But still he proceeds to have nothing against Tommy giving them his name. This death is really heavy on the player and by now you really do feel mad by the way he dies, but wait: Now you gotta play as Abby for 10 hrs of the game? Nice, the bodybuilder that just smashed the **** out of your most beloved character with a golf club is now someone you need to know the backstory of. How inconvenient. Really it feels like this shock-driven roller coaster, where they just keep throwing miserable acts and turns at you, that could literally give you a depression for taking such good a francise and turning it into absolute poop. So Joel dies, Ellie ultimately doesn't get her revenge anyway, she kills like a physchopath and gets as far as killing most of Abby's friends, but at the end decides not to kill her anyway. For me that doesn't make sense, you build up a tense revenge plot around killing dosens and dosens of people, only to get dissatisfied with not killing Abby (aka a bunch of setup but no payoff). Yes the message is supposed to teach us revenge is not the way to go, but still. From Abby's perspective, she gets her revenge on Joel, and gets away with it (Obviously with losses too, but we don't give two ***** about her friends, since she litterally golf clubbed the MOST beloved character, aka. Joel to death). So yeah this is not a happy ending, of course not what would I expect. It's a bloody horror game, that tries to tell us that violence and revenge is not the way to go, even though 99% of the game is slaughtering people and infected. This plot just feels weird and dumb, why not go a different path? For instance with the development of a cure instead of building up this weird tension between factions, as if infected plays a minor role all of the sudden. I just don't understand and I am generally frustrated that Ellie ends up with absolutely nothing (which was also what she expressed she was afraid of in the first game: "Ending up alone"), like the whole francise twisted towards the player having to feel empathetic towards Abby now, because now she is appointed the good girl, and not Ellie. Really sad moment by Neil man, that he has to rip Ellie so much apart, taking everything from her including her baby, girlfriend (Dima), dad-like figure (Joel), multiple fingers, and gives her a stress disorder to top it off. Many people say it's good for the francise to take new directions, and I agree to some extend. Well if they were going to, they might as well just make a completely new story, leaving the old one untouched for a spin off series instead - Since this game literally feels too long because some weird Abby playthrough background DLC was thrown up by Druckmann. I just wish for the writers to at least respect the characters, since ultimately the player base would love for them to be treated somewhat fairly. But yeah look, I guess druckmann got his wishes come true. Since sad moments drag more attension than a linear boring ass storyline. So he'd rather destroy the francise for some more fame. I dunno dude, this interview is getting long and I just really want them to rewrite the whole story.
