The Best game on the 2020, Always mind is my opinion if I don't know, if you like it but for me it is one of the best games I have had the opportunity to play, due to the game mode and the time of controls

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. the best game I’ve ever seen, the hate is mostly made by people who didn’t play or didn’t understand the game, the plot is externally courageous killing a character so beloved in a meaningless way and then humanizing the killer, the plot is based in revenge, forgiveness and empathy, it's amazing how the game makes us care for such a hated character, the game manages to humanize all the characters, from main enemies to random characters that you have to kill to get anywhere.

the gameplay is just incredible, except for some problems in the AI is impeccable, the game managed to improve the mechanics that already existed in the first game and add incredible new ones

the character development is simply extraordinary, the game makes us like so many characters and kills a lot of them, the emotional impact that this game caused me is the biggest I have ever felt in a fictional work

anyway, sorry for the bad english, I don't speak very well

I wish all these mass media ratings could refund my purchase of this game since they helped push me to preorder. I hated this story. I loved the first game but this sequel is complete garbage. I can’t recall hating elements of the story and character actions in any other game as much as in this one. Feel bad even trying to resell it to someone online.

Ellie throughout her journey she has experience nothing but loss and suffering. First you have Joel dying in the first two hours of the game, got her friend killed, and she lost her fingers which makes it so Ellie was unable to play guitar which is the closest thing she has to Joel

Meanwhile, you have Abby being able to get away with everything without any consequences.

In the first game, during the journey Ellie and Joel relationship gets deeper and deeper, but here in this game it's just a **** you Ellie journey.

    2/10 don't make another.

No cumple con las espectativas impuestas, solo en cuanto a gráficos pero los gráficos no definen un juego, sin embargo la historia individual es buena pero no como parte de la saga de the last of us

Even after all of the negativity surrounding the game, I started playing my friends copy and thought it was ok for the most part, until you hit a point where the whole game changes. I actually got angry at the game and stopped playing. The graphics were great, but that simply can't save this game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I would give a better score if the developer had some respect for the original. Gameplay is excellent and the game looks stunning. Neil Druckman clearly felt his own agenda was more important then the love for the original lore of millions of fans. He might have wondered how he could top what happened with Starwars. And he did. The story was ok for the first 12 hours, but kept getting worse after that. Naughty dog, skip Druckman, and find someone who loves games, the fans and writing a beautifull touching story. But if your goal is to get your fanbase as depressed as possible, you have succeeded.(not talking about myself) And for what its worth, i don't care about gender, sexual preferences or ideology. Focus on a good story. Naughty dog had every tool available to create the most epic game ever, and yet brought us a forced tale of weak morals. A tale of lost opportunity. And a lot of potential lost. Expand

This is a masterpiece. The detail put into this game is mind blowing. Sure there’s parts of the story I felt dragged on a bit, but the pay off was well worth the wait.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

My review, no spoilers, no story plot points revealed.

The Last of Us Part 2 isn’t just an important story about revenge, it’s a story about the cyclical nature of revenge itself. Naughty Dog does something that most companies would be scared to do. It removes choice, and for better or for worse, you are there for a ride and you can’t change what happens and to whom, no matter if you
My review, no spoilers, no story plot points revealed.

The Last of Us Part 2 isn’t just an important story about revenge, it’s a story about the cyclical nature of revenge itself. Naughty Dog does something that most companies would be scared to do. It removes choice, and for better or for worse, you are there for a ride and you can’t change what happens and to whom, no matter if you want to or not. This is bold move in the day and age of freedom, choice and selection.

Ellie’s journey isn’t one for the faint of heart, her journey is gruesome, vile and heartbreaking. She is a one woman wrecking crew and she wants to stop at nothing to get back a piece of what was stolen from her. Traveling from the safety of their hometown in Jackson to Seattle, all the way to Santa Barbara she will face off against new and inspired threats, like the WLF (Washington Liberation Front) who use modern weapons and explosives, and the Seraphites who are a primitivist cult that use Bows and Melee weapons for the most part. These two are at war, and unfortunately you are in the middle of it as you make your way through Seattle’s downtown. Both of these factions have ideas that conflict throughout the game, and it’s shown beautifully through optional dialogue that the characters have with one another. Even the collection of some very interesting artifacts, adds detail to an already very well developed world.

It showcases the best visuals of any game to date on the PS4 alongside probably the best sound design of any game, of any generation, period. Gun shots are so ferocious, footsteps so crisp, the wind and rain so intense, that you forget this is all game. Gustavo Santaolalla returns to score again, and it hits all of the right marks. The soundtrack just builds up tension in all of the right moments, making those hairs rise and your skin crawls when you hear the clickers in the distance.

It also shows sometimes a little ingenuity goes a long way, especially with the controls and their (ND) decision to add a jump and prone button giving more layers to some of the best and most enjoyable level designs in recent memory. Nothing seems like its cut and paste, where every new area feels different and original throughout the game. It lasts for around 20 – 25 hours, depending on how much exploration you do and I recommend exploring everything. This is a game that rewards it. There are Safes that have lots of ammo/upgrades where you need to find the passcode to access it. The notes that are scattered throughout the area sometimes hint or give those passcodes and it’s a small but very rewarding minor objective to do.

This is a game that should be played, regardless if you agree with the story decisions or not because it’s something that won’t be forgotten soon. Controversy is what made The Last of Us’ ending so remarkable and this game is no different.

    9/10

Originally, I had given the game an 8/10, because of the technical masterpiece that it is, but its story lacked the same oomph that the original had. After my second playthrough I have realized that every single fight with other humans is optional. You can escape and avoid everyone throughout the game (with the exception of the infected), which also changes how you view the ending, in I would say, a more positive way. This freedom of becoming the Ellie you want her to be (either a stone cold killer or a pacifist) also changes your outlook on who she was to begin with. This freedom makes this game that extra point higher, because you can look at these options as greater than the sum of its parts. I personally look forward to what I hope is next for Naughty Dog, The Last of Us: Part 3.

Overall, I would say this game is a bad idea with great execution.
On the technical level the game is quite amazing, super good looking and solid physics.
On the gameplay level, it can become quite repetitive and predictable at time. The AI is nothing to amazing, basically the same as in the first game. Even though there was some effort to upgrade the existing stuff from the first game

The AI is nothing to amazing, basically the same as in the first game. Even though there was some effort to upgrade the existing stuff from the first game they are still quite stupid, predictable and exploitable (stabbing all the enemy one by one in the same map corner and stuff like that).
The story is the real deal breaker which is a shame a game built around it.

The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
