    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don’t understand why critics are trying to protect this game. They kill off Joel at the very beginning of the game and force you to play as a character that you already hate. There aren’t very many good sides to this game besides the graphics and game mechanics plus the small flashbacks where Joel is still alive. Which are over shadowed by the storyline that is brutally forced down your throat. Critics are saying that the game hasn’t even been out for long yet all the cutscenes are on YouTube. I will admit the gameplay looks somewhat fun but I can’t convince myself to buy a single player game that is driven by a horrible story where the player basically has to sit back and watch.… Expand

    Don't own the game (go ahead sue me sjw tlou2 defenders), no point in it. Wonder how Anita is liking her new pet, must like it a lot to use him ruin one of the most anticipated games of all time just so that it can be politically correct. I hope Neil gets shown in detail how to use a 5-iron.

    Nothing beats a forced writing in a video game, all the new characters that the writer intended to deliver are trash, the dialogues feels awful and awkward and it shows the linearity of the characters building/creating.

    It seems like no one cares about survival anymore, in a setting focuses mainly on survival and that’s what bothers me the most, focuses only on revenge and relationships.

    Abby is the most insufferable, self-righteous character in all of video games.

    And Ellie suddenly deciding that "revenge is bad" because of a random flashback, after killing hundreds of random people, is just laughable.

    The story doesn’t make any sense. The characters, particularly one of the protagonists, behave in highly uncharacteristic ways in order to serve the writing/political message that the dev team wanted to convey. Play this game if you want to walk through a political agenda for 60 hours. If not, just go on with your life and think for yourself. Also metacritic seems to not want to let me post this

    I am so disappointed after waiting so long for this game. The graphics and lighting are improved but they have totally ruined this game and story by forcing garbage on you with uninteresting characters.

    You may or may not like the absurd amount of Progressive elements and "Look good with minorities" in this game, but, the plot of it is completely Trash. I can't believe they've ruined my favorite franchise. Incredibly disappointing. I have cried with the first, yes, I have felt all the emotions with a game and I will always admit it, because TLOU 1 is a Legacy in terms of Plot.

    Graphics    You may or may not like the absurd amount of Progressive elements and "Look good with minorities" in this game, but, the plot of it is completely Trash.     Graphics - 10 - An absolutely good job for the environment design guys
    Gameplay - 8 - Normal, but quite fun, it was good but I expected something else
    Sound - 10 - Very good job for the Sound team
    Performance - 10 - Deserved applause for the team that takes care of this

    And this is the best thing you have ... From here everything is downhill

    History - 3. The first 2 hours were good, rest, damn it is absurd and bad
    Characters - 3 - I was expecting better development in character writing, or at least reaching the TLOU level 1
    Plot - 2 - A plot about revenge can be very convincing, we have perfect examples in the industry, but this plot, far from convincing you, leaves you with more doubts and in the end is crap
    Characteres - 3 - Really after having a lousy story and characters that you forget about them in 24 hours, do you expect the plot to be good? Bad, pretty poor

    Summary: 4/10. The plot and the story brings the game to life, it seems to me that in this they forgot about it.
    Online can be very fun.
    Recommended if only if you like apocalyptic environments and take screens.    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
