Example: Joel was a person with extremely distrust of every person in the first. In this part 2, he went and believe in the first person thar appeared and,
    consequently, dies.

People are nuts and not giving this game a fair shake whatsoever. This is a profoundly human story about the cycle of violence and finding the path to forgiveness. Boo **** hoo someone died that you like, guess what, that's life in the post-apocalypse, my friend! This game is great, the ending is great, the only problems are some pacing issues here and there and the story structure at times. But other than that this is fantastic. Most of you guys are just hating to hate. Let's see how many of you guys get in line for part 3 in a few years. And to anyone who says this is SJW propaganda or that trans people shouldn't be in this, or that Abby is gross for being jacked...I got one message for you. Go **** yourself you **** hateful bigot. Historia agridulce y me gusta lo agridulce, el guión presenta bastantes incoherencias y el final me ha dejado con gusto amargo, pero es sin duda una potente historia emocional con el mejor gameplay que se ha visto hasta la fecha.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 is an near perfect game that captures what life would be like in a post apocalyptic Seattle. The Gameplay feels grounded and realistic and is much improved from 2013s TLOU. The story is also, despite the leaks, very immersive and makes you feel for both playable characters, Abby and Ellie.

Close to the start of the game, Abby and her group, the WLF (often referred to as the "wolves") move near to a settlement called Jackson in the hope of finding joel, the former main protagonist and kill him for essentially murdering her father. She does this right in front of Ellie which inturn sends Ellie on a path for revenge. You go through most of the game tracking down Abby as Ellie throughout seattle and then eventually the story gets to a point where you switch to abby's point of view and her backstory. The story here could've gone 1 or 2 ways. It could have made Abby seem to be a deranged psychopath who killed joel for no reason or it could have given her a backstory and a motive for why she did what she did and thankfully it went with the 2nd option. Abby before now was extremely unlikeable having brutally murdered a fan favourite character but now that she has a motive the player begins to sympathize and understand. Abby and Ellie eventually cross paths yet again and have a massive fight at the end.

Gameplay wise the game feels smooth and fun to play. Runners are as easy as ever to kill, stalkers are the creepiest out of the bunch as they just lurk in the shadows and wait to pounce, flickers are relatively easy to kill - all that is needed is one gun shot to destroy its armored head and another to kill it or if you want to take the stealthy approach Ellie always Carrie's a pocket knife so you can kill a clicker with one attempt each time however for abby you will, much like the first game have to craft a shiv as she doesn't carry anything with her. Bloaters are the hardest out of the bunch to kill however fire is the best option- one molotov and then keep dodging while shooting a few bullets should do the trick. Shamblers are the newest form of infected that are covered in spores and emit a corrosive gas that is often deadly. They're easy enough to kill However as 2 or 3 rifle bullets to the head should be enough. Watch out though as they emit one final gas cloud as they die.

So in conclusion I've given this game an 8/10 as both the Gameplay and story are very well worked however joel dying in the manor that he did is s bit suspect but regardless of the way he was killed, abby did have a motive so he wasn't killed for nothing.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolute master piece, I have finished the game and I almost cried with the last flashback. Some people is just rating the game out of stupidity. There is no LGTB agenda ANYWHERE, we knew Ellie was gay from the first game and now she has a relationship which fits perfectly in whole vengance plot. Joel's death makes you feel angry and it fuels your feeling of vengance, and at the end you realize that Ellie is loosing everything and that Abby has lost everything too. Its not an easy story and that's why is beautiful, the fact that it doesn't give the player what they want doesnt make it a bad game, if you are angry because of that then you are an idiot. And you probably be better playing uncharted knowing that at the end everything is going to be fine. This is a game for grown ups. Expand

A struggle to get through, disappointing story, with a unsatisfying ending. Amazing graphics and decent gameplay, although doesnt make up for a lack of character development which makes it hard to feel for most characters, even the main characters, save your money on this one. I’m not sure I understand the train of thought of the people who created the game is. But killing off a beloved character by a new character that no ones cares a about and then forcing us to play as this character and not giving us the option to enact revenge is baffling. These companies my not care about the story or it’s characters but we the fans do, and that’s what they don’t understand. It’s all just money for them Expand

Just a waste of money. Maybe it would be worth it for 15 dollars for such a short, insulting, and barely intuitive game. The fools thought they had any substance outside of Joel and Ellie's relationship, and there was a chance, but it just wasn't there. Just play the first one if you like the game play, cause this isn't worth playing for the story

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I get it. People are gonna be upset for what they did to the characters we love. But I think what lacks on most of the bad reviewers is empathy. What would you do in Abby's place? Or Joel's? Let's see some points:
    - Joel killed a lot of people because of his strong feelings towards Ellie, since he probably saw on her the daughter he lost.
    - The doctors on the surgery room were unarmed. Joel could've just knocked them and let them live. He CHOSE to kill them.
    - Abby went for revenge. She looked for Joel and no one else. She had let all of them live.
    - Ellie, on the other side, was pure rage. She didn't want to know, she just wanted to kill Abby. If you kill to revenge, doesn't that becomes a cycle?
    - Ellie's decisions because of her blind revenge become less and less acceptable, like leaving Dina, lying to Jesse and choosing not to look for Tommy.

When I first played Abby, I didn't want to. If people quit the game here, they are missing the whole point, which is "seeing through the other keyhole". You are playing the role of the one you're just developed so much hate too. But you start to see people caring for her, and her caring in return. She seems happy. Just like Ellie, she's part of a community. You start to see her human side. And you also start to understand how twisted these places are. Both WLFs and Seraphites. WLF are the militia. But their cause is for themselves only. The scars, as they call, are just enemies to be killed. Even if they are children. On the other side, most of the Seraphites has been using twisted concepts from their leader to justify their violent actions. I'm sure both of them were good people in the past. Abby shows a human side that most players are refusing to get. At some point, you don't want the game to proceed, but the ending was necessary.

To the technical stuff. Thanks Gustavo Santaolalla again for an amazing Soundtrack. The game is way quieter this time but it asks for it.
Also the graphics. It's in my opinion the best ones we have on PS4. Not just for the looks, but the details. It's sometimes even painful to kill enemies because they choke, you can see every slash, every shot. You can dismember them. When other enemies find about others death, they call for their friends. At some point I found one enemy that stopped all he was doing and started crying. Even the dogs cry for their humans. Talking about what. The combat is funnier this time. Prone, dodge and jumping were great additions. The enemies are more strategic. And different enemies require different approaches. But. I found the enemies continue to be dumb. You can run up on them, blast one or two with the shotgun, run to the grass and they'll forget you. I even tested in one fight, and with given patience, you can stealth kill all of them in the same spot. But there's only so much you can go with AI, and all games can be exploited to an extent, so that's understandable. My brother, for instance, is having a lot more trouble than me, and he's playing on normal.

About the duration. It took me 31h48m to finish the game. But in my opinion it was necessary. There are two "campaigns" and you need them to understand the whole scope of the game.

Talking about the new infected. I like how ND sticks to the ground instead of pulling weird shenanigans. There is a boss fight there's straight pulled from RE and its amazingly done. ND, if you ever read this, know that I'd gladly pay for an infected wave DLC.

Talking about the characters, I've been seeing a lot of hate on the LGBT theme. And I don't understand why. Each one is understandable. Special props to Lev. Amazingly built character. If you hate the game just because of this, the problem is on you.

In the end, The Last of Us Part II is not what we wished it happened to all of our beloved characters. But it was what needed to happen. For good or for bad. It just stole TLOU's first place as the best game I've played on my life. Thanks Naughty Dog, you've done it again.
